The past few days while Charlie Sheen has been monopolizing the airwaves, the happy homemakers, Sarah (Cross-Hair) Palin and Michele (Cross-Eyed) Bachmann have been doing their darndest to get some face time on the boob tube. Naturally, Fox News to the rescue, where Ms. Blabbermouth #1 has been spewing venomous insults about the Obama Administration, while her potential Presidential rival Ms. Blabbermouth #2 was doing the same. The slanderous comments such as “Gangster Government” is so racially motivated, that it makes John Galliano look like Mother Teresa. Now, these two bimbettes have synced up their talking points to the point where you cannot tell the two apart. From my vantage point this will only, happily, mean that they will simply cross each other out when the time comes for them to run for President. Unless, Dumb and Dumber are so stupid, that they will run for the White House on one ticket. Palin for President while Bachmann, conceding that she is, in fact, the dumber of Dumb and Dumber, will accept the secondary slot as Vice Presidential hopeful. Sign me up to be the PR committee on that ticket. Talk about non-stop hilarity.

Vice presidents have historically played the fool to U.S. presidents, and Vice President Joe Biden is quietly proving to be cast better than most Hollywood producers could dream.
In limited media coverage, the vice president announced a milestone of 200,000 homes being weatherized with Troubled Asset and Relief Program funds on a trip to Manchester, New Hampshire last week. Didn’t hear about it? Neither did hardly anybody else even though the White House announced the event with all the pomp and circumstance it gives major news events, receiving very little media coverage.
Perhaps that’s because more than 7.5-million Americans have lost their homes to foreclosure, and less than 500,000 have received mortgage modifications through the president’s Making Home Affordable modification program. The event occurred on the same day President Barack Obama was playing golf ironically with his banking buddy. There hardly seems to be any appetite for homes being weatherized when millions are being kicked out of theirs.
“Thanks to the Recovery Act, thousands of construction workers across the country are now on the job making energy-saving home improvements that will save working families hundreds of dollars a year on their utility bills,” the vice president told a small crowd in Manchester. “From replacing windows and doors to adding insulation, these are small changes that are making a big difference for American workers, manufacturers and consumers.
“We’ve hit the accelerator on the weatherization program, making over 200,000 homes more energy-efficient already, and are now full speed ahead to meet our original target of weatherizing 600,000 homes nationwide.”
Biden visited Manchester, where the “DuPont family," no doubt distantly related to one of the richest families in America is expected to save over $600 a year on their utility bills once their weatherization project is completed, according to the White House. The news release issued by the White House went on to say that New Hampshire (being one of the coldest states) has been a leader in the federal weatherization program with more than 1,000 homes that have been re-insulated since June
After ramping up last year, the Weatherization Assistance Program is now weatherizing homes at about 25,000 a month. The White House Making Home Affordable plan intended to modify between four and five million homes when it was originally launched 20 months ago is responsible for less than 500,000 mortgage modifications, a figure that critics of the plan find laughable.
In fairness, the weatherization program is credited with creating thousands of jobs, according to the White House, supporting 13,000 jobs in the second quarter of the year, including 120 new jobs in New Hampshire. Maybe Biden should have made a point of that as he sells the Obama administration’s program across the country and left the DuPonts out of the picture.

People in Opposition to Comcast Cable – Part Nine
Vice President Lance Bruce of the Wilmington Branch of the NAACP speaks to the Cable Video and Telecommunications Commission about Community Television. Complaints about Comcast Cable have caused the residents of Wilmington, Delaware to challenge the cable franchise agreement. Comcast Cable’s franchise agreement with the City of Wilmington is up for renewal this year. The current agreement expires October 2010 and the city leaders are upset about the Comcast Cable rumors to shut-down “live” community access to cable channels 28 and 190. The Leased Access Producers Association (LAPA) has hired a lawyer to review the current franchise agreement with Comcast Cable and the City of Wilmington, Delaware. The Cable Video and Telecommunications Commission of Wilmington has held Community Needs and Assessment meetings with citizens as well as mailing out a survey to residents on the road to evaluate the future of technology within the city. Community producers and supporters of LAPA demand that the City of Wilmington, Delaware require that the leased access studios stay open and continue “live” cablecast. They call for the cancellation of the franchise agreement with Comcast Cable and the establishment of a democratically elected board that represents the technological future of the city. LAPA believes the people own the right-of-ways and the air waves not a corporation or the government. Wilmington’s cable channel 28 was the stepping stone to the political support of current Vice President Joe Biden, who appeared on many “Live” local channel 28 television shows over the years to sustain his career.People in Opposition to Comcast Cable – Part Nine

People in Opposition to Comcast Cable – Part Seven
Comcast Cable does not believe in the future of technology and public media: content and mission aligning to not merely inform the community but to engage them as students, teachers, creators, advocates, and citizens. The infrastructure and reach of community television provides the opportunity to bring together community members to identify issues and work together toward solutions. Comcast Cable plans to discontinue “Live” community television in Wilmington, Delaware. Citizens are in preparation to stop the destruction of “live” community television by signing a card pledging to change cable providers if Comcast Cable does not include wording to continue “live” community cablecast in their upcoming new cable franchise agreement with the city of Wilmington, Delaware. Joe Biden Calls Manager Who Told Him To Lower Taxes ‘Smartass’
Frances Martel
June 26th, 2010
Vice President Joe Biden is starting to give White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel a run for his money in the salty language category. On the campaign trail for Democratic Senator Russ Feingold at Wisconsin’s Kopp’s Frozen Custard today, Biden called its owner a “smartass” for suggesting the vice president’s treat would be on the house if he would agree to lower the owner’s taxes.
Click to watch (VIDEO) Angry VP Joe Biden Calls “Lower Our Taxes” Store Owner, A Smartass…http://ctpatriot1970.wordpress.com/2010/06/26/video-angry-vp-joe-biden-calls-lower-our-taxes-store-owner-a-smartass-classy/
The entire anecdote could not be more classic Biden: The Vice President enters the story under the misconception that he is about to eat ice cream. Then he goes all in and tinkers with the machines and helps serve some frozen custard himself, and enjoys some of the frozen confection. In response to asking the owner of the shop how much money he owes, the owner tells him it’s on the house if Biden agrees to “lower our taxes.” A few minutes later, Biden asks the owner, “Why don’t you say something nice instead of being a smartass all the time?”Joe Biden Calls Manager Who Told Him To Lower Taxes ‘Smartass’... more

People In Opposition to Comcast Cable – Part Six
Ruth Baker speaks against Comcast Cable’s plans to shut-down “Live” community television in Wilmington, Delaware. Television has shut-out Blacks and other minorities from the very start and now Comcast Cable plans to discontinue local “live” community television after thirty years of bringing information to the African American community of Wilmington, Delaware. Community producers and supporters of Leased Access Producers Association (LAPA) demand that the City of Wilmington, Delaware require that the leased access studios stay open and continue “live” cablecast. They call for the cancellation of the franchise agreement with Comcast Cable and the establishment of a democratically elected board that represents the technological future of the city. Comcast Cable does not represent the interests of community access and refuses to even meet with producers and programmers. Francis Thomas –A subscriber to Comcast Cable in Wilmington, Delaware. Comcast Cable are essentially saying poor and low income users of community access television will be locked out from “live” community television. This is a violation of the principle of community access television that it will not discriminate against low income workers and others who do not have their own equipment. After over thirty years of “live” community television Comcast Cable is planning to shut-down the only television station in Wilmington, Delaware. Citizens plan to stop the destruction of “live” community television by signing a card pledging to change cable providers if Comcast Cable does not include wording to continue “live” community cablecast in their upcoming new cable franchise agreement with the city of Wilmington, Delaware. Comcast Cable wants to shut-down local “live” community television in Wilmington, Delaware. That means much of the cities diverse, neighborhood-specific live community television shows may disappear. If that happens, Wilmington, Delaware cable subscribers would be losing an outlet for their particular communities' programming, said Mandelakan, speaker for the Leased Access Producers Association.
