Dr. Robert Hare claims there are 300,000 psychopaths in Canada, but that only a tiny fraction are violent offenders like Paul Bernardo and Clifford Olsen. Who are the rest? Take a look around....
According to popular wisdom, psychopaths are crazed and bloodthirsty serial killers. The reality is not so simple. While many psychopaths do commit violent crimes, not all psychopaths are criminals and not all criminals are psychopathic. Psychopaths are found in many walks of life and are often successful in competitive professions. However they are also ruthless, manipulative and destructive. Equinox reports on techniques developed by psychologists to work out whether a person is psychopathic and shows how brain scientists are coming close to mapping the malfunctions in the brain that cause a person to be a psychopath.
In Britain one person in 200 is likely to be a psychopath. However psychopaths are thought to be responsible for half of all reported crimes and to make up between 15% and 20% of the prison population. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/recent-news/11914-psychopaths-among-usDr. Robert Hare claims there are 300,000 psychopaths in Canada, but that only a tiny... more

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC3V8DGxIak So is Nibiru real? Do you guys agree or disagree on the notion of the world ending in 2012, or is this just some big hype like the y2k? And let's say there really was a Planet X (NIBIRU) coming in the next four years? What's on it and what's gonna become of the human race? Are we gonna survive and get on with our day to day lives or is this society gonna crumble and fall like the towers of Babylon? Hmmmm? I guess we won't know until we start seeing the first real stages of this notion and internet hype? Until then we just go on with our lives in this society which we call normal? But what can we really call normal? No one knows. Just be happy, live free and fight for love, peace, happiness, and no globalization - everyone is their own person. And everyone has their own thoughts and dreams and wants, needs, brain, skills, form of style, feelings and maybe, just maybe one day everyone can live in harmony. I pray for it to happen. Well let me know what you think. I'm new to this site and wanna make a difference and wanna hear what people think. Patricia Moreno is beyond.
On this gross rainy Monday morning in New York City, after pawing through the many on-line news services looking for my I Mean..What?!? of the day, I thought…ugh…who cares. Naturally, I do. But what I have not ever done is simply share with you what one of the greatest components of my life. Something that helps to make me feel complete. I have been engaged in the fitness world for years, mostly as a participant, but surely long before all these gyms have cropped up and all these trainers (those people who can count to ten and do not want to work waiting tables anymore) have gone on to become media stars. When I first discovered the endorphin rush in the 80’s, I felt like I found my own stash of goodies and like a good junkie, wanted to keep it all to myself. That was around the time Patricia Moreno came to New York as a step aerobics teacher and her classes got me hooked. Working out became my new drug of choice. Years…and I mean years have gone by having lost touch with her. Lucky for me, a four years ago I bumped into Patricia, who has since, for lack of a better term, gone to the top of the mountain, saw the light and came back down, not unlike Moses, with a great message from above. She has combined the many eastern philosophies she studied with the principals of a physical workout and has created a program called The Intensati Method, The Seven Secret Principles to Thinner Peace.
When I bumped into Patricia Moreno after many years of not seeing her, I noticed a glow around her and a light from her eyes and smile. It happened to be at a very unhappy time in my personal and professional life and walking into that room to take the class, something happened. Intensati washes over you like a warm bath…yes…that is also sweat…but I am trying to be ethereal here…so work with me. Intensati has completely changed my life and I can give you a list of hundreds others that share this sentiment. Patricia started Intensati way before The Secret became a phenomenon…and the real secret that you learn through The Intensati Method is that you are the secret. You learn practical steps to finding and cherishing all aspects of your life. Look, I know many of you (New Yorkers especially) don’t like talking about your spiritual center, or side. Just too busy, I guess. The conversation that Intensati starts within you is amazing. Anyway…far be it from me to sounds like a Moonie, so I suggest reading her book. But more importantly, somehow try taking her class. She is affiliated with Equinox Fitness Clubs. Check out her site: http://www.patriciamoreno.com/home.html. Watch my interview for a snippet of her loveliness.

In the legend of the Harvest moon, it is said that all full moons have their own special characteristics based primarily on the whereabouts of the ecliptic in the sky at the time of year that these moons are visible. The full moons of September, October and November as seen from the northern hemisphere—which correspond to the full moons of March, April and May as seen from the southern hemisphere—are well known in the folklore of the sky.
All full moons rise around the time of sunset. However, although in general the moon rises about 50 minutes later each day, as it moves in orbit around Earth, the Harvest Moon and Hunter's Moon are special, because around the time of these full moons, the time difference between moonrise on successive evenings is shorter than usual which means that the moon rises approximately 30 minutes later, from one night to the next, as seen from about 40 degrees N. or S. latitude, for several evenings around the full Hunter's or Harvest Moons. Thus there is no long period of darkness between sunset and moonrise around the time following these full moons. In times past this feature of these autumn moons was said to help farmers working to bring in their crops (or, in the case of the Hunter's Moon, hunters tracking their prey). They could continue being productive by moonlight even after the sun had set. Hence the name Harvest Moon. The reason for the shorter-than-usual rising time between successive moonrises around the time of the Harvest and Hunter's Moon is that the ecliptic—the plane of Earth's orbit around the sun—makes a narrow angle with respect to the horizon in the evening in autumn.
The Harvest Moon is said to come before or after the autumnal equinox. It is simply the full moon closest to that equinox. About once every four years it occurs in October (in the northern hemisphere), depending on the cycles of the moon. Currently, the latest the Harvest Moon can occur is on October 13. Often, the Harvest Moon seems to be bigger or brighter or more colorful than other moons. These effects are related to the seasonal tilt of the earth. The warm color of the moon shortly after it rises is caused by light from the moon passing through a greater amount of atmospheric particles than when the moon is overhead. The atmosphere scatters the bluish component of moonlight (which is really reflected white light from the sun), but allows the reddish component of the light to travel a straighter path to one's eyes. Hence all celestial bodies look reddish when they are low in the sky.
The apparent larger size is because the brain perceives a low-hanging moon to be larger than one that's high in the sky. This is known as a Moon Illusion and it can be seen with any full moon. It can also be seen with constellations; in other words, a constellation viewed low in the sky will appear bigger than when it is high in the sky.
The Harvest Moon is also known as the Wine Moon, the Singing Moon and the Elk Call Moon. In American myth and folklore the full moon of each month is given a name. There are many variations, but the following list gives the most widely known names in the modern US:
January - Wolf moon, Hunger moon, Old moon
February - Snow moon, Ice moon
March - Worm moon, Sap moon, Sugaring moon, Crow moon, Storm moon
April - Pink moon, Egg moon, Grass moon, Rain moon, Growing moon
May - Flower moon,Planting moon, Milk moon, Hare moon
June - Strawberry moon, Rose moon, Honey moon, Mead moon
July - Buck moon, Thunder moon, Deer moon, Hay moon
August - Sturgeon moon, Corn moon, Fruit moon, Barley moon
September - Harvest moon
October - Hunter's moon
November - Beaver moon, Frosty moon, Snow moon
December - Cold moon, Long Night moon, Winter moon
