As the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, it would almost be shocking to see her not pursue a political career.
But at the moment, Clinton is an employee of NBC, where she has been serving as a non-political correspondent, and it would seem that her superiors were none too happy about a couple of pre-election ads Clinton made in support of marriage equality.

The "family values" contingency: Yes, the sanctity of life, marriage and family – except when they transport a minor to a foreign country in order to sexually exploit and abuse them, or give a married man a free pass to cheat on his wife, or dump their sick wives to marry another and blame their “patriotism” for their weakness. The entire movement is a monumental exercise in hypocrisy on a grand scale.

WATCH: The look of pity on the face the mother who utters the word, “Where’s your mommy?” is a stronger message than the words she speaks. In that split second of facial recognition of empathy, the viewer bonds with the mother and inherently also wants to comfort and protect the poor pitiful forlorn looking boy who is helpless and alone. Then, using a device from a horror film, we see the feet and legs of the abhorrent perpetrators behind the young boy. These are the bastards who have robbed this innocent injured child of a guardian angel of a mother: two gay men. Well, actually, we surmise they are gay because one of them is wearing Italian leather loafers...

That is how we would describe Maureen Walsh’s TV advertisement in support of same sex marriage in Washington. She speaks not only as mother of a gay child, but also a Washington State Representative and a registered Republican. Rep. Walsh is speaking in defense of gay marriage and against a referendum on Washington’s ballot, Referendum 74, that seeks to overturn the state’s Civil Marriage Equality act signed into law by Governor Christine Gregoire this past February.
Yes, rational, compassionate, and practical Republicans still exist.

While I am certainly glad that Chick-fil-A will no longer be funneling massive amounts of cash into organizations actively working to deny me my Constitutionally given human rights, I definitely will not be eating at Chick-fil-A soon. They have not changed their minds. They are only doing this because they lost money, and they are in damage control mode. They even got desperate enough to have a fake facebook profile in order to try and quell the backlash. But it's important to examine what they did and said today....
