Break out the flashlights. When a full lunar eclipse takes place on the shortest day of the year, the planet may just get awfully dark. The upcoming Dec. 21 full moon -- besides distinguishing itself from the others in 2010 by undergoing a total eclipse -- will also take place on the same date as the solstice (the winter solstice if you live north of the equator, and the summer solstice if you live to the south).

It’s the time of the year that we look back at what we accomplished in the last 365 days. WHACKO-TV has grown by ten times the number of viewers from last year. We would like to thank all those people who lowered their standards enough to waste the time to watch some of our stupid videos. And to those people who actually turned their friends on to our madness, well, you need to seek professional help. But before you run off to some expense shrink, please watch the WHACKO-TV Best of 2010.It’s the time of the year that we look back at what we accomplished in the last... more

Like the Wonder Twins minus that annoying monkey Gleek, Bryan Safi and Erin Gibson combine the power of the "That's Gay" and "Modern Lady" franchises in this recap of the issues that faced gays and women in 2010. Let Bryan and Erin walk you past memory-lane mileposts including Johnny Weir's "flamboyance," Katy Perry's boobs, Gisele Bundchen's views on other womens' boobs, and the controversies surrounding gay marriage and Don't Ask/Don't Tell. Bonus: Bryan and Erin unveil a secret pact involving the Empire State Building that will make you forget all about Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
That's Gay is a recurring segment on the weekly television show infoMania. In each episode of That's Gay, Bryan Safi explores gay issues and stereotypes as they are portrayed by the clueless media. For more Bryan visit http://current.com/groups/thats-gay/ and Current TV.
For good reason, no woman has ever had the balls, moxie or delusion to claim the title of "the world's premiere basic cable expert on lady stuff."
Until now.
Meet Erin Gibson. She's freakishly tall, sort of smart, and willing to do just about anything to get a bemused chuckle.
Her segment, Modern Lady, on infoMania, is dedicated to reporting and commenting on what's happening on Planet Lady.*
*The asterisk next to "Planet Lady" is actually a typo.

According to the article, it's a tradition lasting for 17years now where ice hockey fans for Calgary Hitmen throw toys into the rink in support of a children's charity.
However, the fans wait until the first goal to throw the toys and it does mean the game was delayed by 40minutes but for a good cause. The players delivered to toys the next day to a children's hospital.
"Among the many varied traditions of peoples all over the world, throwing 23,096 stuffed animals onto a hockey rink has go to be one of the two or three dumbest. But it looks pretty impressive."-gawker
""It's unbelievable," Sylvester told the Examiner after the game. "Scoring in front of all those fans and all those teddy bears coming down on you -- it's a pretty special moment." "-yahooAccording to the article, it's a tradition lasting for 17years now where ice... more

Sharpen your No. 2 pencils for the final exam of Professor Brett Erlich's Viral Video Film School. If you successfully handle questions involving the likes of the "Double Rainbow" guy, you'll receive video "treats" in the form of puppies doing super-cute things. Full disclosure: You'll get the treats regardless. Indeed, it's a good thing Brett's not a professor of psychology, since he obviously knows nothing about operant conditioning. But if the subject's fixing the flotsam on YouTube, he's definitely your man.
Viral Video Film School is a recurring segment on the weekly television show infoMania. In each episode of VVFS, Professor Brett Erlich teaches you valuable skills in the discipline of Viral Video making. So sit down, take notes, and try not to piss him off. For more Brett visit http://current.com/viral-video-film-school-im/ and Current TV.
