Zimbabwe could be in for even more unrest after President Mugabe has 'hinted' that he might form a Cabinet without the opposition, as well as call for early elections in an attempt to workaround the failed power-sharing deal.
Speaking to fellow Zanu PF members on state television Mugabe said: "If we call for elections, you must be prepared," going onto say that he hasn't got "any qualms with taking farms from the white farmers."
Clearly wanting to avoid a re-run of the elections earlier this year, an opposition spokesperson said they would welcome a "genuine election" with 'international supervision.'Zimbabwe could be in for even more unrest after President Mugabe has... more

Police have arrested multiple Opposition lawmakers Wednesday (Aug 27), right after the President announced he would include them in his cabinet.
Police said the arrests were not politically motivated, but were related to violence in the run up to the run-off election for President earlier this summer.
The Movement for Democratic Change, however, said police made the arrests to reduce the numbers of opposition lawmakers in parliament.
Power-sharing talks between ZANU-PF and the opposition -- mediated by South African leader Thabo Mbeki -- are scheduled to resume this week.

"Zanu (PF) militia in Mberengwa in the Midlands province are forcing church leaders to display portraits of Robert Mugabe inside churches. Members of the militia, along with war veterans, visited mostly Lutheran and Roman Catholic Churches in the district and told leaders to display Mugabe portraits or posters next to pictures of Jesus.
Any church found to have refused the order would be closed, the gangs threatened. Retribution could, it seems, be far worse than closed doors. President Robert Mugabe's Zanu PF has dismissed allegations by the opposition MDC that the military intelligence was in a nefarious plot to assassinate Morgan Tsvangirai when he comes back into the country for the presidential run off.
Zanu PF spokesperson Nathan Shamhuyarira said there was no such conspiracy in the Zanu PF which is not panicking and fully geared for the presidential run off.
"He is dreaming things that are not existent in Zimbabwe. No one in Zanu PF or the government has any intention of killing him," said Shamuyarira in the state owned Herald.
"The problem with Tsvangirai is that his statements are directed at big powers in Europe and North America in an attempt to influence them to give him more money and support", said ShamuyariraPresident Robert Mugabe's Zanu PF has dismissed allegations by the opposition MDC... more

Robert Mugabe perpetrates acts of terrorism against his own people. He has ordered that political opponents be jailed, assaulted, and killed.
It is estimated that over 4 million people have fled Zimbabwe and thousands of others are displaced inside Zimbabwe. This means 25% of Zimbabwe's population has left the country. Additional estimates state 70% of Zimbabwe's workforce is now living outside Zimbabwe. This has caused a tremendous "brain drain".
If Zimbabwe had oil, gold, diamonds, or uranium the US would have stepped in. In fact, the US, UK, Russia, and India would be tripping over each other as they all rush to provide help first.
After people discovered the atrocities of the Nazis the world said "never again". Yet it continues to happen - Rwanda, Serbia, Sudan, Iraq, and now Zimbabwe.

Mobs loyal to President Robert Mugabe have forced about 3,000 refugees to flee their homes as a national terror campaign gathers pace across Zimbabwe.
Gangs from the ruling Zanu-PF party are ranging across rural Zimbabwe, hunting down supporters of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC). Their victims are fleeing into the capital, Harare, seeking safety and treatment.
Chingatayi Chimomo, 13, was separated from his parents when a Zanu-PF gang burned down his home, 120 miles north-east of Harare.
Chingatayi's father, John, was an MDC parliamentary candidate. "We ran into the forest and saw about 50 people burning our house down and taking all our things. My father was a candidate and he told us to run away and he ran away to another place," said the boy.
"It was midnight, a lot of people came and two had guns, and they put fire and broke everything and they took all our property. My father knows I am here but I don't know when we will go home. There is nothing left at home."
Chingatayi was safe yesterday in a Harare hospital. The staff will not send him away, even though wards are overflowing with victims of Mr Mugabe's thugs.
Nelson Chamisa, a spokesman for the MDC, said that about 3,000 people had been displaced. He said that four opposition supporters had been murdered since the election's first round on March 29 and hundreds assaulted.By Peta Thornycroft in Harare
