Those right-wing Fox News North newshounds in Toronto the Good thought it would be HI-larious to post publicity pix of the T.O. Mayor Rob Ford as "Chris Farley" on one of its news anchors' Facebook page. So if you click on the circumferential civic chief, his name comes up as that of the deceased comic and whisks you immediately to a Facebook official fan site set up in his honor by his two surviving brothers.

While counting down the funniest sketches of the 2000s in December, we realized most of our favorites had something in common: They were song and dance numbers. So we set to work finding the best musical sketches of all time and after much infighting came up with this list. The sketch could come from anywhere: A movie, a TV show, the Web, but it had to be more music than sketch (sorry, Buh-Weet). Enjoy!

Chris Farley stars in a DirecTV ad from one of his classic films "Tommy Boy" with pal David Spade. Is it too soon seems to be the constant topic of discussion and many say Spade is cashing in on his dead buddy.
The scene from the film is one of the classics and if you have seen the entire film it is impossible not to chuckle at “fat guy in a little coat.”
E! Online quotes Spade as the actor had to defend himself over the charges he is cashing in on his friend and comedic partner. For the record, Farley passed away one week before Christmas almost twelve years ago on December 18, 1997.
"When DirecTV came to me and the Farley family with this idea about Tommy Boy, we talked and thought it would be a cool way to remind people just how funny Chris was," Spade tells Asylum via his publicist. "It is a clever homage to my friend and a movie that we loved doing."
TV Squad calls it a “Worst commercial of the year nominee” and muses that it isn’t funny, clever or original.

This isn't Al Franken's first Supreme Court confirmation hearing. In 1991 he appeared in an opening sketch on "Saturday Night Live" that mocked Clarence Thomas's appointment process and those involved. It featured Tim Meadows as Thomas and Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Kevin Nealon, Chris Farley and Franken as his questioners.
Suffice to say Franken was a lot more ridiculous the first time around. He played the perpetually bow-tie-clad senator from the great state of Illinois, Paul Simon, and spent the majority of his time asking Clarence Thomas how to get a date:This isn't Al Franken's first Supreme Court confirmation hearing.
