Could former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher write a song for the FA Cup final for Manchester City supporters?
According to a Sunday newspaper, Noel is hinting that he's writing a charity song for support for Manchester City saying "If they asked seriously I don’t know. Let’s wait till they ask". It's reported that Ricky Hatton and Johnny Marr and other famous Manchester City supporters might be in line to be in the song. Meanwhile, Stoke City supporters are apparently in talks with Welsh singer Tom Jone to revamp the 1968 hit 'Delilah', popular with supporters. The FA Cup Final takes place on May 15th at Wembley Stadium.

Dearly beloved, it is with a heavy heart and a sad face that I say this to you this morning.
As of last Friday the 28th August, I have been forced to leave the Manchester rock'n'roll pop group Oasis.
The details are not important and of too great a number to list. But I feel you have the right to know that the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable. And the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates has left me with no other option than to get me cape and seek pastures new.
I would like firstly to offer my apologies to them kids in Paris who'd paid money and waited all day to see us only to be let down AGAIN by the band. Apologies are probably not enough, I know, but I'm afraid it's all I've got.
While I'm on the subject, I'd like to say to the good people of V Festival that experienced the same thing. Again, I can only apologise - although I don't know why, it was nothing to do with me. I was match fit and ready to be brilliant. Alas, other people in the group weren't up to it.
In closing I would like to thank all the Oasis fans, all over the world. The last 18 years have been truly, truly amazing (and I hate that word, but today is the one time I'll deem it appropriate). A dream come true. I take with me glorious memories.
Now, if you'll excuse me I have a family and a football team to indulge.
I'll see you somewhere down the road. It's been a fuckin' pleasure.
Thanks very much.
Goodbye.
NG.

Noel Gallagher of Oasis has admitted to spending over £1 million on drugs before 1998 when he decided to quit because it is "bad for your health," however, he goes on to say "I look at Chris Martin, who says he has never taken drugs in his life, and I think he is an idiot. Doing drugs is the most beautiful thing about being in a rock band."
Seems interesting that a musician would be in support of something that has killed so many of the greatest musicians in the world (Jon Bonham, Billie Holiday, Gram Parsons, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Rick James, Jim Morrison, Ike Turner, Dee Dee Ramone, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson (?!?)... just to name a FEW)... I would think an artist would steer away from publicity in favor of drugs out of respect.
Or was it the drugs that made those artists so great?... Hmm... Expanding the mind...Noel Gallagher of Oasis has admitted to spending over £1 million on drugs before... more

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has recently criticised 20,000 fans who asked for their money back after his band's homecoming gig had technical problems.
The guitarist called them "cheeky", and wrote of his surprise that the 20,000 fans took up the offer of a refund after the Heaton Park show, which was interrupted twice by a power fault.
In his online blog, Gallagher wrote: "So you were genuinely disappointed? There wasn't a 20,000 gap in the crowd."
Fans paid £45 for tickets to see the band perform in Manchester earlier this month for the first time in four years. However the technical problems resulted in the show being disrupted for half an hour.Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has recently criticised 20,000 fans who asked for their... more

Jarvis Cocker has spoken out about how we need a Conservative government. I’m sorry what? I couldn’t quite hear you over your track ‘Sorted for E’s and Whizz’ playing in the background.
I don’t know what to make of this. Is he becoming curmudgeonly or merely a pragmatist? Compared with rock legend Noel Gallagher’s thoughts on the matter: “Politics is like football for me. Labour is my team and even if you don’t like a striker you don’t give up supporting the team.”
Clearly Cocker has had enough of Brown, our NO. 7, but is that any reason to buy in the 18 year old Cameron from a rival team?
Is Jarvis, who once claimed in NME in 1998 that “he always voted Labour,” the dead canary limped in the bottom of the cage?Jarvis Cocker has spoken out about how we need a Conservative government. I’m... more
