Barry Gropper is an artist with over 1000 pieces of drawings, paintings, sculptures and more.
He always tried to get me to collaborate with him.. but I never feel as if I am able to put what I want into the collaborations. SO after a few years.. -- I invited him into my studio.. and I used his visual still pieces of artwork and recorded him singing and playing harmonica.
Then.. I took it to my tech. lab.. and turned it into a motion picture. I made the animation, vdieo, sound engineering.. even a bit of the music.. and together.. we amp'ed it up.. and came upwith this collaboration...
which I concider our first true collaboration.
-- We have done others.. working on the same piece of canvas.. and they have all failed..
except one.. that is in the garage of his... that we never finished.. but.. maybe one day.
and that will be an exceptional piece of art as well.

Aspiring anti-comedian Chris Manz tells jokes to his childhood Idol, the legendary experimental composer, Terry Riley, arguably one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Terry was delighted to take part in such a strange event, and suggested that the joke structure utilize repetition to reflect the compositional structures of Minimalism, the musical form that he helped establish. After a long day of giving speeches related to his honorary doctrate from Chapman University, lecturing on musicology, and even performing new music, Terry remarked that this was "the best part of the day"

Established Anti-comedian Neil Hamburger riffs and rants with Chris Manz backstage at "Spaceland" in LA. Neil Hamburger (America's $1 Funnyman) from the seminal underground anti-music group, Zip Code Rapists, is known for his confrontational approach to live performance. The perpetually miserable comb-over comedian drinks hard drinks onstage while yelling and swearing at his audience and telling the worst jokes in history.
