Over the course of four months, Vanguard correspondent and executive producer Adam Yamaguchi was embedded with anti-drug task forces in the US and Mexico. During the shoot, hundreds of millions of dollars worth of narcotics were seized.
When California began marijuana eradication efforts in 1983, authorities seized fewer than 100,000 plants in the state. Last year, they seized more than seven million plants with a total value of $15 billion.
In "Marijuana Wars," Yamaguchi joins an elite task force as they survey and eradicate multi-million dollar marijuana fields run by Mexican drug trafficking organizations.
Cameras follow undercover operatives as they launch an operation to stop marijuana production by taking down the low-level planters, drug transporters and even the drug financiers themselves. The agents explain how the tentacles of Mexican drug cartels are reaching the east coast of the U.S., creating operation and distribution hubs--and bringing the war much closer to home.

Indoor and outdoor cannabis growers yet to harvest are going to be on the look out for ailments which could severley curtail their home-grown cannabis crops, due to the climbing humidity levels.
As the year draws to a close there's naturally more moisture in the atmosphere. Which coincides nicely when cannabis growers need to minimise the humidity their plants are exposed to as the female flowers thicken up and close the gaps.

At a time of heightened national security post-911, a near-depression economy and state government budgets bleeding red coast to coast, what is the moral and economic imperative that compels some in law enforcement to seek lifetime sentences for small-time cannabis growers?
Again, cannabis consumers and activists should never shrink back from prohibitionist (and some in the media) arguments that “no one gets arrested for cannabis in the US (it’s practically legal!)” when over 755,000 cannabis consumers are busted annually for simple possession (94,000 others were charged with cultivation, distribution or conspiracy therein).
Even more so when there are outrageous claims made that ‘no goes to jail or prison for pot’.

Germinating cannabis seeds seems just to be one of ‘them’ grow room jobs, like taking cuttings, or ‘judging’ the pH of your water with the naked eye.
