Kengo Kuma and Associates wins Dundee V&A design competition
The Japanese firm has beaten five other entrants on the shortlist to design the new Victoria and Albert Museum in Dundee.
The museum is to be built out on the River Tay on the Dundee waterfront
Plans to open a V&A offshoot in Dundee were first announced in 2007 by former First Minister Jack McConnell.
Since then the project has captured the imagination of politicians at a local and national level who believe it will not only transform Dundee but also Scotland as a whole.

Vanessa White the member of girl group The Saturdays, recently performed in a wheelchair at a gig in Dundee on Wednesday after falling down a flight of stairs.
The accident was understood to have being caused by tripping over a wire as the band walked on stage to perform the first song of their set, If This Is Love.
Her fellow band mates spoke on Twitter and said: "She is a trooper and sang her heart out."
Fellow Saturday, Rochelle Wiseman, said the accident took place, "literally as we were walking on for our first song."

Michael Hamilton, the father of the daughter, Vicky Hamilton, has given his first televised interview to STV since the discovery of his late daughter last year, which lasted 17 years of grief.

They are the latest plans from the local government in Dundee, they want to reward people who have given up smoking with £150 of groceries.
If a smoker passes a test to prove they haven't been smoking, they will get a total of £12.50 credited to a card which can be used to buy food, but not tobacco or alcohol.
