Though he directed only a handful of films, there is no denying that John Hughes had a significant impact on the generation which came of age in the 1980’s. His abrupt death of a heart attack in the summer of 2009 prompted more than a few reflections on what his teen sagas had meant to the hordes of misfit kids who never quite felt a part of the mix.

So John Hughes Died.
Sad.
But what better way to celebrate his work than to review one of his very best movies?
I love The Breakfast Club - but I do have beef in regard to it's legacy. It's one of the most imitated movies of the last two decades but it STILL holds up against the likes of the modern day versions that are the diluted versions of the original!
