At Saturday's American Le Mans Race, the fueler of Gil de Ferran's #66 was injured. The car left with the fuel hose still on, spilling fuel everywhere. The fuel caught on fire. Keith Jones feel into the flames briefly. He had to be airlifted to The Ohio State University Burn Unit/Intensive Care Unit where he is listed as critical but stable condition. Gil de Ferran's #66 was scored 26th out of the 30 car field. They didn't continue the race after the accident. Keith Jones worked for many other racing teams before moving to CART Champion Gil de Ferran's Racing Team.
