Well, Voters certainly sent a message to the Democrats. Will Democrats listen?
I look at the results like this: At least now (with Republicans regaining control of the House) we have an emergency brake in place (for Obama’s oft used car analogy) to prevent any more giant surges of social(ist) engineering like the Health Care bill from becoming law. For all his (Obama’s) talk of Republicans being the party of “No,” they didn’t really stop anything. Now, they can. It might be enough to halt any untoward legislation during the next two “lame duck” months in Congress.
Incidentally, Democrats love to portray the Republican Party as being just a bunch of white guys but two Republican women of color were elected to governorships, Nikki Haley in South Carolina, and Susana Martinez in New Mexico.
Meanwhile, California continues its tradition of self-destruction by electing Brown for Governor and returning Boxer and Waters to office.

Scott Brown slams Griffin’s joke about his daughters !
GOP Sen. Scott Brown is blasting comedian Kathy Griffin after she jokingly referred to his daughters as “prostitutes” on her new Bravo reality show.
The segment, which aired Tuesday, featured CNN’s Dana Bash and John King quizzing Griffin on her political knowledge during a recent visit to Washington. When King held up a photo of Brown, Griffin identified him as “Scott Brown, who is a senator from Massachusetts and has two daughters that are prostitutes.” Within seconds, a "brief message from Bravo's legal team" scrolls up the screen: "Scott Brown's daughters ARE NOT prostitutes!!!"

New York Yankees stud shortstop Derek Jeter will one day be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, but he could make an even more powerful case for being inducted into the Playboy Hall of Fame. He has dated some of the hottest women on the planet and done so rather discretely, which is no small task for a pro athlete playing the field in New York City.
There are a couple of themes to Jeter’s women: 1. brunettes for the most part. 2. big boobs/toned bodies. 3. Success in a celeb related industry whether it be modeling, acting, or singing. 4. Two Domino pizza workers video taped them tampering with the food by putting the cheese up their noses and the guy puts his penis on the food also sneezes on a pizza before having it delivered. THIS is the chart climate change sceptic Senator Steve Fielding hopes will convince Al Gore that global warming is not real.
Senator Fielding is trying to score a one-on-one meeting with Mr Gore, who is in Australia promoting several environmental causes, to prove to him that climate change sceptics are right.
Senator Fielding has promised to clear his schedule for any chance to meet the former US vice-president and Nobel Prize-winning environmental campaigner. "The ball's in his court," a spokesman for the senator told news.com.au.
The spokesman has said Mr Gore is aware that Senator Fielding holds a crucial vote in Parliament and that any major green schemes - such as the Government's model to reduce carbon pollution in Australia - essentially rely on his support.
"(Mr Gore) said 'look, the schedule's tight but hopefully we can work something out'," when Senator Fielding approached yesterday for a meeting on the issue, the spokesman said.
"We're clearing our schedule to see him. If he calls at three in the morning, we'd go," he said.
It is believed Mr Gore will only be in the country for another day or so.
Senator Fielding wants to present a graph to Mr Gore which argues global temperatures have stabilised during the past 15 years, even as carbon emissions have risen.
The graph was used by the UN in its reports on the effects of climate change. Sexual intimacies and sexual behaviors, what are the motivations.
Many scientists assume people have sex for simple and straightforward reasons such as to experience sexual pleasure or to reproduce, but new research at The University of Texas at Austin reveals hundreds of varied and complex motivations that range from the spiritual to the vengeful.
After conducting one of the most comprehensive studies on why people have sex, psychology researchers David Buss and Cindy Meston uncovered 237 motivations, which appear in the August issue of Archives of Sexual Behavior.
People's motivations ranged from the mundane ("I was bored") to the spiritual ("I wanted to feel closer to God") and from the altruistic ("I wanted the person to feel good about himself/herself") to the manipulative ("I wanted to get a promotion").
Some said they had sex to feel powerful, others to debase themselves. Some wanted to impress their friends, others to harm their enemies ("I wanted to break up a rival's relationship").
Physical reasons such as to reduce stress ("It seemed like good exercise"), feel pleasure ("It's exciting"), improve or expand experiences ("I was curious about sex"), and the physical desirability of their partner ("The person was a good dancer").
Goal-based reasons, including utilitarian or practical considerations ("I wanted to have a baby"), social status ("I wanted to be popular") and revenge ("I wanted to give someone else a sexually transmitted disease").
Emotional reasons such as love and commitment ("I wanted to feel connected") and expression ("I wanted to say 'thank you'").
Insecurity-based reasons, including self-esteem ("I wanted the attention"), a feeling of duty or pressure ("My partner kept insisting") and to guard a mate ("I wanted to keep my partner from straying").

Chaylee Cole, a student at Fairmont State University, lost her part-time job in Weston last Friday after refusing to make telephone calls attacking Barack Obama.
McCain-Palin 2008 and the Republican National Committee were paying for the calls, according to a "work paper" handed to Cole and her co-workers at the Weston offices of 1.2.1 Direct Response, a company based in Philadelphia.
"I was working at the call center," Cole said. "We got a campaign ad talking about how Obama had been part of terrorist attacks on the Capitol, the Pentagon and a judge's home and had ties with Bill Ayers.
"Last Thursday, I told them I did not want to read it," Cole said. "They said, 'Either you read it or you go home.'
"I told them I wasn't going to read it. They made me go home without pay for the rest of the day."
The "work paper" told callers to say:
"Hello, I'm calling for John McCain and the RNC because you need to know that Barack Obama has worked closely with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers [airs], whose organization bombed the US Capitol, the Pentagon, a judge's home, and killed Americans.
"And Democrats will enact an extreme leftist agenda if they take control of Washington. Barack Obama and his Democrat allies lack the judgment to lead our country.
"This call was paid for by McCain-Palin 2008 and the Republican National Committee."
Cole said, "We were just supposed to read that message and hang up. One of my other issues working there was that someone told me it didn't matter who picked up the phone, whether it was a 5-year-old or a 95-year-old. We should read the message."
Cole, who started working at the center a few months earlier, returned to work on Friday.
"I talked to one of our 'coaches,' which is what our supervisors were called. I said I was unhappy with the situation and I quit," she said Tuesday.
Asked about the claims about Ayers and the "extreme leftist agenda," no one from the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C., returned telephone calls on Tuesday. Neither did Gail Gitcho, regional spokeswoman for the McCain-Palin campaign, based in Alexandria, Va.
Russell Andrews, a spokesman for 1.2.1 Direct Response, did not return several telephone calls made to his Philadelphia office on Tuesday.
1.2.1 Direct Response helps private companies and other organizations with fundraising, media coverage, advertising, marketing and publicity, according to its Web site.
That Web site reports that the company employs more than 550 people to make telephone calls, including 220 in Weston, 210 in Parkersburg, 170 in Media, Pa., and 150 in Philadelphia.
The McCain-Palin campaign has repeatedly tried to tie Ayers, now a professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago, to Obama. When Ayers was associated with Weather Underground, Obama was 8 years old.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton released a statement about Obama and Ayers reported by The Washington Post on Feb. 19.
"Sen. Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen group, as he does all acts of violence. But he was an 8-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost 40 years ago is ridiculous," Burton said.
Numerous other publications - including The New York Times, Chicago Sun-Times, The New Yorker and Time magazine - have also noted that Obama and Ayers never had a close relationship.Chaylee Cole, a student at Fairmont State University, lost her part-time job in Weston... more

Comedy legend Chevy Chase appeared on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" today to promote an environmental initiative with his wife, but spent time complimenting Tina Fey's portrayal of Sarah Palin and slamming Palin and running mate John McCain.
"I thought it was extraordinary how well she played her and much she looked like her, I'd like her, personally i felt we didn't need the Hillary stuff, I'd like her to go even harder. I want her to decimate this woman. This woman, I can't believe there hasn't been more about it... It's just unbelievable to me this woman is actually running for vice president."
Later he said, on the importance of comedy, "The more that the nation understands that McCain has lost his mind, the better it is really."
