Workers of the World....its time to unite. Collective bargaining is essential to our democracy.

This attack on unions is pariah, a side show circus and anyone who has a job should be tuned into this issue and stand with the unions that still exist. Less than 7% of workers in this country have unions and yet they are the supposedly responsible for the financial problems of states? Lets get real here. The time we America was at its best is when taxes where much higher than they are jobs were plentiful...we had a strong middle class.

Watch the linguistics of all of this talk. The words are carefully chosen to illicit the desired response. Its all designed to create a false sense of separation. The working class and the middle class and the poor are all in the same pie when compared to the ruling class.

Or you can call the same scenario as the super rich, the professional managers, the wage earners and the entitlement receivers.

Notice the difference of how the words impact your consciousness.

Who are the people behind the economic troubles, really? Its the super rich. They are capable, because of international money policy, to move billions of dollars in and out of a country in hours. They can wreck havoc on financial markets anywhere in the world. Our economic troubles are all the result of their games. Their games.

Its time for unions, collective bargaining organizations, resurge and regain the working force in this country. Its still legal to do so and we need to take advantage of it as quickly and as expediently as possible. Don't drink the tea from the tea party because you will be poisoned in the process. Workers of the world unite! The time has come for us to take our power back and make our servants in government...serve us.

This is why we must all stand with the few unions that are left. We need to make more unions and send a clear and strong message to the government, to corporations, that they are privileged because of us, when they are supposed to be serving us...the people. Instead, we have a system that is completely upside down and contrary to constitutional principles. More Right Wing Money for Youth Groups

This morning I got an email from myImpact.org announcing that they'd received support from the Peterson Foundation and Mobilize.org for a social media project they intend to do. This was announced at the Mobilize.org event "Exploring the Millennial Generation’s Return on Investment" a conference announced earlier this year when Mobilize announced their $1million grant from the Peterson Foundation.

William Greider wrote in The Nation earlier this year about the Looting of Social Security, describing very specifically the plan among Wall Street and Banking elites who are pushing the idea of fiscal responsibility as part of policy. Fiscal responsibility is a well tested phrase that everyone can get behind - because everyone agrees that our country should be responsible with its money. . . but Greider says that this is a backdoor swindle on anyone who has paid into Social Security

"These players are promoting a tricky way to whack Social Security benefits, but to do it behind closed doors so the public cannot see what's happening or figure out which politicians to blame. The essential transaction would amount to misappropriating the trillions in Social Security taxes that workers have paid to finance their retirement benefits. This swindle is portrayed as "fiscal reform." In fact, it's the political equivalent of bait-and-switch fraud."

His piece is extensive, and outlines the ways in which the rich want to use funding for Social Security to cut taxes to corporations and upper-income wage earners and a huge tax increase imposed on working people that he says is similar to the 1983 tax

"the payroll tax rate supporting Social Security--the weekly FICA deduction--was raised substantially, supposedly to create a nest egg for when the baby boom generation reached retirement age."

There is a kindred spirit in young people with this message, because since the 1980's the Millennial Generation has heard a consistent message about Social Security being too small to support the Baby Boomer Generation. Most young people don't think it will be there for them (Disclaimer: It will be), so this is a great group of people to begin organizing around "entitlement reform" to unmake Social Security and bait the young against the old to screw us all.This morning I got an email from myImpact.org announcing that they'd received... more

Young and Entitled for Obama

Senator Obama talked about green jobs and the promise of a new energy economy. I posited that government’s bipartisan management of ethanol, a single energy product, has been so clownish and corrupt as to bring into question goverment’s ability to manage an entire energy economy, one that will presumably have lots of products, many of them more complex than corn-gas, and most of which presumably do not yet exist. I ask if this gives Miss Williams pause. It gives her none. Her response, which is expected, is that if only we get the right people into office, government will be good at doing things that government has never been good at doing before. She really, really seems to believe this when she says it. Sen. Obama seems to believe it, too. I ask Miss Williams how the government should go about bringing us into the clear bright day of green jobs. She answers: training. I ask her if she means that the government should begin training people for jobs that do not exist. She answers in the affirmative. She smiles.

The belief that having the Right People in office means that we can repeal reality is, of course, superstition. But there is nothing of the messiah-seeker in Miss Williams. She doesn’t make one think: drooling devotee. She makes one think: community organizer.

Organizing for what? The answer to that can be found here at the “I’m Voting For ...” site put together by Campus Progress. On this site, youngsters deliver short video sermonettes on the issue that matters most to them in the upcoming election, e.g. “I’m Voting For ... a New Foreign Policy,” “I’m Voting For ... College Affordability.” The website catalogues the invincible sense of entitlement that characterizes progressive politics, particularly among the young. One poor dear moans, Michelle Obama fashion, that he is going to have to borrow money to pay for law school. Another speaks very sadly of her late mother’s health-insurance travails. At some point, it became obvious to these young people that the chief administrative officer of the federal government is ex officio responsible for loaning them grad-school money and overseeing their moms’ health-insurance plans.Senator Obama talked about green jobs and the promise of a new energy economy.
