Facing allegations that he harassed and threatened his long-time girlfriend, ex-49ers football star Dana Stubblefield has "stepped away from his duties" as a defensive line coach at San Jose's Valley Christian High School, according to principal Clifford Daugherty.
Start Jay Cutler vs. the Bengals- Cutler has just signed a new deal to lock him up for good, it’s now time to show the fans he’s worth it. After a somewhat sloppy game against the Falcons, the Bears are heading to Cincinnati for a Cedric Benson rematch. While the defense will be concentrating on smacking him around, Cutler and his receiving core will take advantage of the Bengals secondary. The Bengals are allowing on average 255 passing yards per game and have given up 9 passing TD’s. What started as a handful of players has made its way to the NFL Players Association itself. More and more are speaking out against. Rush Limbaugh having anything to do with the NFL outside watching in his boxers all alone on Sundays.
Ultimately it's up to the owners to decide with 24 out 31 needing to approve. With the current players agreement running out this year negotiations are expected to be contentious at best. Adding more controversy and less common ground is not likely to bode well for the fiery entertainer's chances.
Rush has every right to say what he chooses but it has become all to clear to him, no doubt his words have meaning and the meaning has consequence. He literally thanks God for his enemies because they boost his ratings. But after speaking such pearls as "The NFL looks like a fight between the Bloods and Crypts without the weapons" Rush will learn the hard way - ratings can't buy you happiness. What started as a handful of players has made its way to the NFL Players Association... more
Proving jocks are not oblivious to the world around them and did actually pay some attention in school to something other than their play books, NFL players with a conscience and respect for others have made it clear they will have nothing to do with any team associated with Limbaugh.
Limbaugh and alike obviously have the right to spew whatever madness they see fit and as long as the ratings and book deals keep rolling in they will certainly keep right on spewing. What they fail to realize is although their speech is protected it is not without consequence. Limbaugh is learning this the hard way. The haters are painting themselves into a small corner of society. Let them - but we don't want to hear any bitching from their sad lonely mouths when they find themselves stuck there with no one to play with but themselves.

When betting on NFL lines, one of the first things people look at is the starting quarterback. Unfortunately for the San Francisco 49ers, this is one of the biggest question marks on the team. The NFL betting odds aren’t going to entice many players to get action on the Cleveland Browns Super Bowl odds this year but for them, that’s not what the season will be about. It seems like the situation is the same every year, but the Browns again are heading into a season with a new head coach and a new quarterback in search of an identity.
