You are no longer ‘in.’ Do you understand? No longer should you end a comment or a conversation with another citizen of Raider Nation using the phrase, “I’m in.” The famous phrase that Lane Kiffin brought with him is now…out. It has been replaced with Tom Cable’s mantra “1-0.” Cable was...You are no longer ‘in.’ Do you understand? No longer should you end a... more

We’ve heard it all before. We’re hearing it again, and the song keeps playing like a broken record. “We’re close. We’ve just got to keep working and we’ll figure it out.“ At this point, Raider Nation could collaboratively write a country music smash hit. At least that record hasn’t been heard yet. If Kiffin is fired, Raider Nation could be hearing that record played again, and again, and again over the next several years...We’ve heard it all before. We’re hearing it again, and the song keeps... more

The soap opera that is the Oakland Raiders front office makes for great theater, but a horrid way to run a professional football franchise. The biggest piece to the drama is the lack of any significant official comments one way or another on the situation dating back to the beginning of the Lane Kiffin saga in January. There is one way that this drama could be put to bed for good, and that would be for Al Davis to hold court with the media and answer some questions about what is going on inside Raiders headquarters. The soap opera that is the Oakland Raiders front office makes for great theater, but a... more

After the first game of the season, where the Raiders bombed out on Monday Night Football against the Broncos, it was pretty certain in many people’s minds that the Raiders weren’t going to worry about winning this season for a coach on the chopping block. We said as much here and many of the media pundits and former players said so as well. Since that time, we’ve seen inspired performances by a team that many consider an afterthought in the race for the playoffs, and since this team should be sitting near the top of the AFC West with a 2-1 record, the questions have come again and Kiffin had the answers....After the first game of the season, where the Raiders bombed out on Monday Night... more

Our good friend Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee is reporting that Lane Kiffin and Al Davis will be meeting tonight. There’s no word on what the meeting is about for now, but you can guess that it might have something to do with Kiffin’s outing of his defensive coordinator and his continued strife with the boss. We’ll keep you informed if any news comes out....Our good friend Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee is reporting that Lane Kiffin and Al... more

Prior to seeing the added moves, I already had gone back and forth in my head about what type of message I wanted to post in this space regarding the Ashlie Lelie move. Let’s just say that it wasn’t the most complimentary message that I’ve ever thought up about the Raiders. If you follow the Raiders or are a fan of the Raiders, one thing is certain…nothing is ever what it seems to be. That’s definitely true of the latest moves as well...Prior to seeing the added moves, I already had gone back and forth in my head about... more

It’s the final preseason game, practically none of the starters and some of the backups will be playing, and due to mine and Patrick’s 53 man roster analysis, you may find yourself wondering,...It’s the final preseason game, practically none of the starters and some of the... more

The Raiders were only two players away from reaching the mandated maximum roster size of 75. While the Raiders are still in need of a third receiver to fill the hole by the Drew Carter injury, they chose to instead thin their already thin ranks at the position by letting go of Drisan James....The Raiders were only two players away from reaching the mandated maximum roster size... more

After often requesting through the media and getting support from Raider Nation, the media, and sites like this one, the Oakland Raiders have finally started to make a few transactions that may aid in the improvement of the team. Of the roster cuts, none really surprised except for the fact that there are still a few players, possibly on scholarship...After often requesting through the media and getting support from Raider Nation, the... more

Does anyone remember this?
“He is a phenomenal player, but I don’t really think running back is a need for us.“
“We don’t have a lot of picks. We have the N choice overall, which is significant. We could trade down, obviously. We’d love to continue to work on our defensive line. There are a couple of really good defensive lineman that may be available at 4.“Does anyone remember this?

Preseason games are nothing more than a double edged sword for coaches. One edge, the blunt one, is the improvement of the team and for getting everyone on the same page prior to the season. The other edge, the sharp one...Preseason games are nothing more than a double edged sword for coaches. One edge, the... more

“It’s just been a situation that unfortunately we haven’t brought guys in. I can control what I can control, come out here every day and get our guys as good as we can. I’m pleased with the top of our roster, but we need to add to the bottom of our roster. We need more competition.“ - Lane Kiffin
What does that mean?... “It’s just been a situation that unfortunately we haven’t... more

It looks like I’m going to have to get used to spelling yet another last name. According to Jerry McDonald, Adam Archuleta has been signed by the Raiders to take the place of injured safety and return man, Tyvon Branch. Branch suffered a hand injury during the first preseason game that requires surgery. According to the report, Greg Wesley may be the victim of the free agent signing...It looks like I’m going to have to get used to spelling yet another last name.... more

As a Raider fan, I’m sure that there are many stories that you’re probably tired of hearing about. Take for instance the story about the Raiders record over the past five years, or the fact that they didn’t draft Matt Leinert when they had the chance, or even that dreadfull 2006 season when Tom ‘bed and breakfast’ Walsh ran the offense into the ground with the help of Art Shell, Irv Eatman, and Jackie Slater...As a Raider fan, I’m sure that there are many stories that you’re probably... more
