Do you have friends, neighbors and relatives that can't find work? Well, unfortunately the current U.S. jobs famine is about to get a whole lot worse. Right now there are approximately 13.9 million unemployed Americans. That does not count those that "are not looking for work". That does not count those that are working part-time jobs but that are desperate for full-time work. The truth is that we need tens of millions more full-time jobs in order to give one to everyone that wants one. Sadly, the long-term trends that have caused this mess continue to get worse. Unless truly dramatic changes are made, the U.S. economy is going to continue to bleed jobs and that is going to suck the hope right out of this country. It is time to wake up America! It is not a big mystery why we don't have enough jobs. But sadly, very few of our leaders are talking about the real issues.Do you have friends, neighbors and relatives that can't find work? Some excerpts of the default data: on initially-current loans, Countrywide modified $87M of loans but 59% had re-defaulted within 10 months (this is the worst performance of initially-current loans). Wells Fargo came in second, with 49% re-defaults on $334M of modifications.
On initially-delinquent loans, Wells Fargo came in 11th (tied with Ameriquest), with 70% re-default on $605M of loans. Countrywide came in first again, with 80% re-defaults, which ties it with WaMu (the two thrifts modified $388M and $566M of loans respectively).
The best record on initially-current loans was a "mere" 34% re-default rate after 10 months. By contrast, the best record for initially-delinquent loans was 62% -- held by (the non-WaMu part of) JP Morgan Chase.

Bernanke claims that taking the monetary power away from the Fed and putting it back into the hands of the people (as the Constitution says) will cause "harm" to the economy. Well what has the Fed been doing to the economy all these years that hasn't been harmful?
As our beloved President once said:
"My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man. ..."

George W. lied during his campaign! Hes not a Compassionate Conservative, hes a Conservative who lacks compassion. Facts matter, lies matter! Trust is an issue, which should not be ignored! Can we trust a person who lies during the campaign, to stop lying if they become President? If history has taught us anything, its lies matter! Dirty politics is not leadership, it illustrates what one would do as leader. Ignoring facts and using lies to spin distorted facts is wrong for America! Thats not leadership!
Its time to clean up government! Not more of the same! Accountability has been lacking for eight years, can we afford four more years?

ENGLEWOOD, Col., Oct 4 - Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin accused Democratic candidate Barack Obama on Saturday of "palling around with terrorists," in the latest sign the campaign is turning increasingly nasty.
The comment by Palin, whose running mate John McCain is vying against Obama for president in the November 4 election, was dismissed by the Obama campaign as "gutter politics" and came shortly after the McCain campaign had already called the U.S. senator from Illinois a liar.
With polls showing McCain trailing Obama in many battleground states, including several won by Republicans in the 2004 election, Palin said "There is a time when it's necessary to take the gloves off and that time is right now."
Speaking at a fund-raiser in Englewood, Colorado, she launched an assault on Obama just days after both candidates urged Congress to set aside partisan politics to pass a $700 billion bad-debt securities package in a bid to free up frozen credit markets.
"Our opponent though is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough that he is palling around with terrorists who would target their own country," Palin said of Obama, also calling him an embarrassment.
Palin cited a New York Times story on Saturday that examined Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers, a former member of the Vietnam-era militant Weather Underground organization who is now a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The Times concluded they were not close.
Obama spokesman Hari Sevugan said, "Today, the McCain-Palin team took their discredited, dishonorable campaign one desperate step further, announcing that they were going to try 'turning a page on this financial crisis' and launching more personal attacks on Senator Obama."
"Instead of offering solutions for working Americans and families struggling through a failing economy, they have offered more gutter politics and false attacks," he said in a statement.ENGLEWOOD, Col., Oct 4 - Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin accused... more

(NaturalNews) It seems that most people are finally awakening to the fact that it is not a good idea to blindly accept the manipulating lies with which we are daily brainwashed, particularly by the communications media. It is totally acceptable and sensible nowadays to be cynical and critical of any source of information, particularly when associated with politics, big business and the media.
The 'information' age has literally turned upon itself.
George Orwell in his prophetic book '1984' said, "Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful... and give an appearance of solidarity to pure wind."
Hitler's propaganda henchman Dr. Goebells said, "If you tell people a big enough lie, often enough, they will believe it."
There are many definitions of lies and the Thesaurus has a great source of words to describe the distorting and twisting of any facts. Among the word variations that cover the outrageous manipulations we experience daily are fabrication, inference misstatement, falsification, evasion, deceit and deception. A lie is the deliberate withholding of any part of the truth from someone who has a right to know.
People are becoming accustomed to receiving deceit and deception. We are being constantly lied to by governments, government officials, drug companies, the medical profession, multinational industry, food companies and politicians. Lied to by media, by 'reality' programs, doctored photographs in magazines, by employers and by unions.
Lied to in financial transactions, stockholders reports and false corporate statements. Lied to by advertising, salesmen and anyone trying to make money to our disadvantage. Falsification has been piled onto fabrication, until lying -- through omission, distortion, bias or clever wording -- has become a way of life! The list is truly endless.
Life has become like a jigsaw puzzle, but without the picture on the front of the box so that you don't know what it's really supposed to be like. Governments, multinationals and media are clever enough to make sure you don't always have all the pieces!
Try to look at the motives behind everything you hear and see, there is always a motive. What are they 'selling'? Keep an open mind and treat all information with a reasonable amount of suspicion. Look for seemingly reliable sources, as I do. We need to be constantly be alert and aware! Even question me.
We all know there is plenty of truth in our universe; it's just a bit hard to find. Try a little old fashioned commonsense.by: Michael Cambray

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, erstwhile presidential candidate and strident opponent of the Bush administration, gave the most spirited speech of the session Tuesday condemning the war, the economy and the Republicans
Short in stature, the Ohio congressman leaped up onto his tip toes time and again, thrusting his arms out and up, getting the crowd to roar so loudly he had to yell into the microphone to be heard.
It will become known as the “Wake Up, America” speech.
“Fellow Democrats, are you ready for November?” he asked.
“It’s election day 2008 and we Democrats are giving America a wake up call. Wake up, America!”
In 2001, the oil companies and the war contractors seized the country and added four trillion dollars to the national debt.
“Millions of Americans have lost their jobs; trillions of dollars for an unwarranted war paid for with borrowed money; tens of millions of dollars in cash and weapons disappeared into thin air at the cost of the lives of our troops and innocent Iraqis.”
Meanwhile, with the U.S. helping to rebuild infrastructure in Iraq and Afghanistan, “there is no money to rebuild bridges in America.”
Then he launched into a “Wake Up” litany:
“The insurance companies took over health care. Wake up, America!
“The pharmaceutical companies took over drug prices. Wake up, America”
“The speculators took over Wall Street. Wake up, America!”
With each refrain, the delegates grew more frenzied.
“We went into Iraq for oil, and now they want to drill more… into your wallet. Wake up America.
“This administration can tap our phones but they can’t tap our creative spirit. They can open our mail but they can’t open economic opportunities. They can track our every move but they lost track of the economy.
He played on the terror alert level “color chart.”
“Every day we get the color orange while the oil companies, the insurance companies, the speculators, the war contractors get the color green. Wake up, America.
“This is not a call for you to take a new direction from right to left; this is a call for you to go from down to up.
“Up with peace!” Kucinich yelled to approving roars. “Up with prosperity! Up with education! Up with Democrats!
The delegates continued to cheer through the first part of the next speaker’s remarks
