Sara Leann Dwiggins, 24-year-old teacher at South Creek Middle School, Williamston, North Carolina, has been arrested for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a student.
Dwiggins is charged with two counts of sexual offense with a student and two counts of statutory rape. Authorities say the offenses occurred earlier this year while Dwiggins taught math and science to seventh- and eighth-graders at Bear Grass School in Martin County. The femake teacher and the male student, who was between 13 and 15 years old at the time, had two encounters : the first between May 20 and June 10 and the second between June 20 and June 30.

Keri Ann Brekne, 28 year old teacher at Lopatcong Township Middle School in Phillipsburg, New Jersey was arrested in January 2008 and charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The sexual episodes allegedly occurred in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, therefore, Brekne faced charges in two states.
Between July 2007 and January, Brekne molested the girl at Brekne's Madison Street home, according to the charges. She would then drive the girl back to New Jersey, sometimes as late as 4 a.m., so she wouldn't miss school.
In PA, Brekne was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors. Brekne agreed in February to plead guilty to five counts of aggravated indecent assault in Pennsylvania.
In NJ, Brekne faces one count each of second-degree sexual assault, second-degree child endangerment and third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact. In late March 2008 she rejected a plea deal in Warren County New Jersey under which she would be required to serve up to 10 years in prison. In July Keri Ann Brekne pleaded guilty in Warren County, New Jersey to a second-degree sexual assault charge. As a result of her guilty plea, Brekne who was already facing up to 50 years in prison in Pennsylvania is now facing up to 10 years in prison in New Jersey.
In October 2008 A judge in Northampton County, Pennsylvania sentenced Brekne to a prison term of from 15 to 30 years. According to the judge this was the worst case of abuse she has seen.

elsey Peterson, 26-year-old female teacher from Lexington, Nebraska, plead guilty to federal charges of crossing state lines to engage in sex with a person under and was sentenced to six years in prison.
Peterson was a sixth-grade teacher and coach in small town of Lexington, until Oct. 25 2007, when school officials put Peterson on administrative leave after learning that she might be in a relationship with a 13-year-old student. The school had reason to believe that 25-year-old Kelsey Peterson was having sexual relationship with 13-year-old Fernando Rodriguez.
According to police, correspondence uncovered in an investigation shows the two have had a sexual relationship for some time. Letters allegedly sent by Rodriguez while living at a home for at-risk boys in Alliance refers to teacher Kelsey Peterson as his “Baby Gurl” and says that their relationship is about more than sex. Raysean Paglinawan, 21, a former dance teacher on the Big Island has been charged with more than 30 counts of sexual assault involving three children over a span of about three years.
Some of the alleged victims were her students. Raysean Paglinawan, 21, made her initial appearance in court on Monday. She turned herself in to Kona police on Saturday after a grand jury indicted last week.
Prosecutors would not comment on whether the children are boys or girls. All three were under the age of 14 when the alleged assaults began.
The alleged crimes happened between June 2004 and August 2007. Paglinawan was a hip-hop dance instructor at Naalehu Theatre during part of that period.
Paglinawan is charged with 22 counts of first-degree sex assault, 12 counts of third-degree sex assault, two counts of violation of an order for protection, and one count of custodial interference for taking or detaining a minor. Stephanie Kay Bellino, 39, an attendance clerk at Fremont Middle School who also supervises in-school suspension and detention, has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
