Already saw 'Avatar'? You won't have to wait long for Hollywood to deliver the next big blockbuster smash.
That should come as early as March, with the release of Tim Burton's deliciously weird take on 'Alice in Wonderland' starring Johnny Depp. Until then we have potential hits like the family adventure 'Percy Jackson,' the star-studded rom-com 'Valentine's Day' and the Martin Scorsese-directed thriller 'Shutter Island.'

Lionsgate got US and Canada, and now Focus Features have picked up the multi-territory rights to 'Kick-Ass'.
The rights cover the UK, Australia, Germany, Latin America, Austria, Switzerland and New Zealand which will be released via Universal Pictures Intl. Co-chief executive of Focus, Christian Grass says "Everyone at Focus and Universal has been interested in this bold and brilliant film for some time, as Matthew Vaughn is one of the most talented international filmmakers working today..."

Straight from Comic Con comes the leaked teaser trailer for Matthew Vaugh's Kick-Ass. According to slashfilm, it's the Comic Con footage spliced together and also a lot clearer than previous leaks.
Even more shocking: it's a technical indie film that showed up at the convention sans a distributor

Lionsgate have grabbed the rights to the Marvel Comic adaptation "Kick-Ass" for the US and Canada, which Matthew Vaughn filmed, directed and financed. Universal, Paramount and Fox Searchlight were among the competing studios fighting out but missed out.
