Over and Over we hear of “no funds available” yet if the dollars where truly accounted for, one would find just the Children alone bring in TRILLIONS of dollars.
Again, as I have said, as the REALITY goes (and there is even more)… :
1) First a Child’s name and address come up to Social Services. It could be by anyone, and more often by doctors these days....Over and Over we hear of “no funds available” yet if the dollars where... more

Jessica Alba was in Oklahoma City promoting her new film (I was as shocked as you are) and decided that some vandalism was in order. Instead of running around with a can of spray paint tagging everything in sight, she posted up pictures of Great White Sharks in a bid to raise awareness of their near extinction.
However, she neglected to put any information on the poster. There are just pictures of sharks everywhere. And a picture of her looking dead proud of herself with hard evidence of her post adolescent rebellion (in the name of a good cause).
Incidentally, Oklahoma is located slap bang in the middle of the U.S., quite far away from any ocean, and any sharks. AND she covered up a poster for the United Way, which the charity will have to pay to replace.
10/10 for effort, Jessica, but there's definite room for improvement on your life of crime.Jessica Alba was in Oklahoma City promoting her new film (I was as shocked as you are)... more

“Choices” is an inspiring and very creative animated short film by Anton Groves. The animation used thousands of cardboard cuts, which were combined using both stop-motion footage and digital animation. The 2 ½ minute short film was created for the charity organization “United Way” in Romania, and was a selection for the 2009 Cannes Lions Advertising Festival. “Choices” takes the viewer through the harrowing childhood and teenage years of one small girl, demonstrating the hazards that potentially lie in wait for those children whose life choices are a result of not actually having a choice.
Includes a number of colorful pictures, and the inspiring short animation, “Choices.”“Choices” is an inspiring and very creative animated short film by Anton... more

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - A Kalamazoo-area man who won $10,000 in the Michigan Lottery's Club Keno game has donated his winnings to a charity.
Soon after winning the money on March 11, Jim Dancy of Richland decided others needed it more than he did. So he gave it all to the Greater Kalamazoo United Way.
"I was heavily influenced by my close friend Julie, who taught me to think of others first, and to stop and think about what life is really about. I know the needs in the community are great right now, so for me it was the right thing to do," Dancy said in a statement released by the Michigan Lottery.
Dancy is co-founder, vice president and chief operating officer of Innovative Analytics, a biological research company in Kalamazoo. He said he felt good about his decision and was confident that United Way was the correct recipient.
"I feel very good today, knowing I could help a little — probably my 'best day' in a long time. When everyone was thanking me, I was thinking how much you all do every day, and thought it should really be the other way around: I should be thanking you. So, thanks for your work," he said.KALAMAZOO, Mich. - A Kalamazoo-area man who won $10,000 in the Michigan Lottery's... more

Well, I finally met Cathy Church - who is running as an independent candidate for Marquette County Prosecutor.
A friend of a friend asked me to post her stuff because running an Independent means you need all the goodwill and support you can get.
I have nothing against the two major political parties - but I respect the gusto of people who do it on their own - thus are not beholding to the powers that be.
Tho I tend to vote Democrat - I never vote a straight ticket - because I like to choose the best person in each race - Democrat, Republican, Independent or any of the more obscure parties.
Plus Cathy Church is tough on domestic violence and one of my many projects fights family abuse.
During 14 years as an assistant prosecutor, Church sent numerous domestic violence offenders to jail. I have covered way too many murders and MI and GA that were the result of domestic violence.
Tho the victims are - by far - mainly female - there are some male victims of domestic violence.
As a guest of the non-profit Turtle Island Project, Lakota domestic violence activist Tillie Black Bear was speaking in Marquette recently - and that's where I met a friend of a friend who knew Cathy.
It's kind of ironic how I finally met Cathy Church.
I was telling a fishing buddy that I was posting info about her Independent campaign for prosecutor - and as the words came out of my mouth - there was Cathy's campaign vehicle and her mother.
We turned around - met Cathy - and I ended up taping an interview with her on Halloween.
That two part interview will be posted next.
This video is Cathy's message to the people about why they should choose an Independent candidate for Marquette County Prosecutor - instead of a longtime and powerful incumbent.
