There's a lot of cross-posting between this group and What The Hell Are You Wearing. I follow them both, because every now and then you'll find something awesome that might have slipped through the cracks.(photo from Flickr user onemoredress)

There's a lot of vintage in here, and a lot of wacky pairings. Still, you can lose a whole day just scrolling through this group, getting inspired by the eclectic mixes of textures and colors.
It's a bit of a bummer that not everyone posts the sources of their outfits, or even the brands. That's half the fun of the What I Wore challenge, for me, is understanding where all these awesome things come from, and if it's possible for me to get them.(photo from Flickr user pIrIl)

I'll confess up front that Alex is a good friend of a good friend of mine. We've consumed wine in the same kitchen once or twice, is all I'm saying. Still, I was turned onto her LiveJournal years ago, and was always envious of her natural sense of style. She has an amazing knack for pairing luxury brands (Miu Miu seems to be a favorite) with vintage (mostly bags) and pieces from inexpensive big box retailers (Old Navy or Target). She always manages to look like she had SO MUCH FUN getting dressed in the morning.
In addition to fashion stuff -- What I Wore is just one section of her blog -- she posts cool designy stuff, like vintage children's books or photography.I'll confess up front that Alex is a good friend of a good friend of mine.... more

Emily Martin is one of the most adorable vintage style bloggers in the known universe, and I want to grow up to be just like her. She has a way with knee socks and mary janes that somehow seems modern, and lately she's started creating flat bows from scraps of ribbon and fabrics and using them as accessories. While she doesn't post specifically about what's she's paid for her finds, I get the feeling that she does a lot of scavenging for the vintage pieces i her collection. She's also good about pairing vintage with classical lines from places like J. Crew.Emily Martin is one of the most adorable vintage style bloggers in the known universe,... more

Fleur de Guerre is one of those amazing (to me) women that manages to make vintage fashion an every day project. While she doesn't update each day with photos of her outfits, she more than makes up for it with recommendations for the best vintage reproduction retailers, websites, Etsy/eBay sellers, etc. And when she does post her own photos, watch out! She's absolutely stunning and has an amazing dedication to the recreation of vintage style.Fleur de Guerre is one of those amazing (to me) women that manages to make vintage... more

Retro purses made from vintage car upholstery fabric are cool and green!
Asha Blake, KTLA News
Kim White found a way to make some green by sewing green; use vintage car upholstery fabric that was just sitting in a warehouse. White bought the entire warehouse, which was full of unused fabric from the 70's and 80's. What was made to sit on years ago now fits neatly under your arm...as a handbag. KTLA's Asha Blake reports.
