What gays call marriage is not the same thing as traditional marriage, especially regarding fidelity.
While some same-sex relationships, especially among lesbians, are sexually exclusive, many male couples, including those in marriages, have arrangements with each other that allow for mutually agreed upon infidelity under certain circumstances.
Some couples will allow a partner to cheat while he is out of town, or as long as both partners are present, or - and I am not making this up - as long as the infidelity is on the couch and not the bed
Gay marriage would still harm the meaning of marriage in society if gay infidelity was private. However, many gay couples are quite open about their mutually approved "adultery."
Last summer, after I wrote an opinion piece about this problem in the San Francisco Chronicle, I received more than a dozen letters from gays and lesbians defending their right to define marriage as a non-exclusive relationship.
One of these letters was so brazen, it s worth quoting at length. Like the others, it was signed by name (Richard Dupler of Oakland, California):
I ve been with my partner 10.5 years... We have not been sexually exclusive, ever. The relationship has been open, and honest, from the start.
"We are getting married August 17, and I doubt seriously that the sexual part of our relationship will change. Just because we re calling it marriage, doesn t mean we have to conform to widespread ideals and beliefs about marriage, we only have to follow the law. What works for some likely doesn t work for others.
This freedom to marry, which we take very seriously, should also mean we are free to define that marriage the way we see fit.
I m not suggesting we punish the entire gay community for the non-monogamy of some of its members.
I m saying we shouldn t redefine marriage to include adultery by mutual consent - a very rare arrangement among heterosexuals, but something that barely fazes gays. Even gays and lesbians in monogamous relationships tend to see nothing wrong with consensual adultery, even when a couple has children.
Don t believe me? Ask some gay people you know what they think of marriages in which each partner is openly and publicly allowed sexual indiscretions as long as certain rules are followed. Then ask some straight people. I am confident you will find the same gulf in attitudes I have found. What gays call marriage is not the same thing as traditional marriage, especially... more

The key finding in a new survey was that voters' position on Proposition 8 was determined more by their level of education and income than their race or ethnicity,
Of Californians with a high school diploma or less, 69 percent voted for Proposition 8. Among college graduates, 57 percent voted against it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it any surprise that the poor and ignorant are the one's who support a ban on gay marriage? These are the same people who are taken advantage of and manipulated by religious organizations. The key finding in a new survey was that voters' position on Proposition 8 was... more

"In a violent display of intolerance, an opponent of Proposition 8 attacked and seriously injured a man who was volunteering on Sunday for the initiative to define marriage as between and a man and a woman."
Although I think the guy who punched him was an asshole, I must say that if Proposition 8 and 4 pass, California will be a step closer to "red state" status.Heh.

Ok, I want to clear my conscious a little.
I work for the campaign and cant wait for this week to be over.
The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you.
We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and play the part of a Clinton or Mccain supporter who just switched our support for Obama.
We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence.
We did this the whole primary and it worked.
Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc.
This surprisingly has had a huge suppressing movement and vote turnout issues.
Next, we infiltrate all the blogs and all the youtube videos and overwhelm the voting, the comments, etc. All to continue this appearance of overwhelming world support.
People makes posts to the effect that the world has “gone mad”
Thats the intention. To make you feel stressed and crazy and feel like the world is ending.
We have also had quite a hand in skewing many many polls, some we couldn’t control as much as we would have liked. But many we have spoiled over. Just enough to make real clear politics look scarey to a mccain supporter. Its worked, alough the goal was to appear 13-15 points ahead.
see, the results have been working. People tend to support a winner, go with the flow, become “sheeple”
The polls are roughly 3-5 points in favor of Barack. Thats due to our inflation of the polls and pulling in the sheeple.
Our donors, are the same people who finance the MSM. Their interests are tied, Barack then tends to come across as teflon. Nothing sticks. And trust, there were meetings with Fox news. The goal was to blunt them as much as possible. Watch Bill Oreilly he has become much more diplomatic and “fair and balanced” and soft. Its because he wants to retain the #1 spot on cable news and to do that he has to have access to the Obama campaign and we worked hard at stringing him a long and keeping him soft for an interview swap. It worked and now he is anticipating more access. So he is playing it still soft.
This is why nothing sticks.
The operation is massive, the goal is to paint a picture that is that of a winner, regardless of the results.
Our goal is to continue to make you lose your moral. We worked hard at persuasion and paying off and timing and playing the right political numbers to get key republican endorsements to make it seem even more like it was over and the world was coming to an end for you all.
There is a huge staff of people working around the clock, watching every site, blogs, etc. We flood these sites. We have had a goal to overwhelm.
To me Barack was just a cool young dude that seemed like a star. I didn’t know him or his policies, but now I understand more than I care to and I realize his interests are more for him, and the DNC and all working like puppets with dean. I always thought a president wanted the better good for the country. The end result I see is everyone dependent on the government, this means more and more people voting for the DNC. This means the future is forever altered. I don’t see this as america, so I am now supporting John Mccain.
Sarah Palin is a huge threat, and our campaign has feared her like you can’t imagine. If it seems unfair how she has been treated, well its because she has had a team working round the clock to make her look like a fool.
this is a big conspiracy and I am so shocked that its not realized.
I will be quitting my post on nov 5th and my vote will be for John Mccain. Fortunately, my position has been a marketing position and I don’t feel I had any part of anything I would feel guilty for. But I look forward to getting out of this as the negativity and environment upsets me.
Ok, I want to clear my conscious a little.

A judge ruled that Florida's ban on gay and lesbian adoption, is unconstitutional. Declaring the adoption to be in the boy's "best interest," Circuit Judge David J. Audlin Jr. ruled the Florida ban contrary to the state Constitution because it singles out a group for punishment, the Miami Herald said.
Same sex adoption has been illegal in Florida for 31 years. Only one other state, Mississippi also bans same sex adoption.
According to gay.com, "The state Department of Children and Families did not contest the case or attempt to uphold the ban, the Herald noted; nor did Florida's attorney general.
Thus it's not clear if anyone will appeal Audlin's ruling; until they do, legal experts told the Herald, it will hold little sway against the state and federal appellate rulings that have upheld the adoption ban, most recently in 2005.
"On the one hand, this is one trial judge in Key West," Stetson University law professor Michael Allen told the Herald. On the other, he said, "cracks begin to develop in legal doctrine. Even if it has no effect as precedent and it is not repeated someplace else, it's a crack.
"If you get enough cracks, things break."
Florida is set to vote for a constitutional amendment banning marriage equality this November. The initiative was sponsored entirely by the Republican National Party. It is unclear how a change in the constitution would hinder same-sex adoption. Experts agree it won't be good for gays and lesbians.
John McCain opposes same sex adoption. Barack Obama is in favor of equality. A judge ruled that Florida's ban on gay and lesbian adoption, is... more

"A manager says seven Hallmark greeting card stores in the Treasure Valley will not carry the company's new same-sex marriage cards.
Cassi Jacobsen, an assistant manager for the Jordan's Hallmark store in Nampa's Karcher Mall, says the family that owns the seven area stores has decided against carrying the new line of greeting cards.
She said the owners were out of town and not immediately available for comment.
Hallmark added the cards after California joined Massachusetts as the only U.S. states with legal gay marriage. A handful of other states have recognized same-sex civil unions.
The language inside the cards is neutral, with no mention of wedding or marriage, making them also suitable for a commitment ceremony. Hallmark says the move is a response to consumer demand, not any political pressure.
"It's our goal to be as relevant as possible to as many people as we can," Hallmark spokeswoman Sarah Gronberg Kolell said.
Hallmark says all of its stores can choose whether they want to add the latest offerings.
Reaction to the cards has been mixed.
Idaho Values Alliance Executive Director Bryan Fischer sent out a press release Thursday calling for local-area Hallmark stores not to carry the cards.
"Hallmark, the venerable greeting card company, is doing nationwide what 48 states and the federal government have refused to do, and that is to recognize homosexual marriage," Fischer wrote.
But Delmar Stone of Nampa, executive director of the National Association of Social Workers - Idaho Chapter, called the cards "wonderful."
Jody May-Chang, the Boise editor of the gay rights Web site PrideDEPOT.com, called the decision a bullying tactic.
Hallmark's largest competitor, American Greetings Corp., has no plans to enter the market, saying its current offerings are general enough to speak to a lot of different relationships."

Cosy days are over for American from any faith that want to follow their conscience.
The Gay gospel is the new state religion that our 1st amendment was supposed to protect us from.
I urge the gay community to put a leash on homosexual activists that want to create instability and force a backlash on you
Threatening other Americans to submit to these gay activits' belief system or be discrimated is a receipe for trouble and hate.

22-year-old Kurt Wild from St Louis, Missouri, a gay porn model, was working in a Subway sandwich bar until a costumer recognised him from his and complained. When the customer threatened to boycott the store, the Subway manager fired Wild.
Wild explained: "A customer said they wouldn't even eat there at Subway anymore because of my past work and said that if I wasn't fired then they would boycott the store. Maybe I should take a stand and boycott their store too if they can't let people's privacy be treated right. I should have the right to work anywhere I can and it isn't right or fair that people can keep me from working simply because of a "gay" issue. If a girl did what we do it would probably be ok.. and if a guy does straight porn.. he is bragged about. When I do gay porn, I feel a bit lynched for the rest of my life."
US gay website AfterElton.com also reported the story, which it said raised several questions. "How on Earth did this customer, who apparently isn't a fan of gay porn given his or her response, know that Wild was in gay porn in the first place?" wrote gay blogger Brian Juergens. "And how does having a documented history of being sexually active make you unfit to serve sandwiches? I guess they should fire all of the employees that have children as well?"
What do you make of the story? Do you understand the customer's or manager's reaction? What would you have done? 22-year-old Kurt Wild from St Louis, Missouri, a gay porn model, was working in a... more

The new rules of manhood suggest that you're not a real man unless you're party to a "bromance". These days, no meeting mano a mano is complete without a lingering hug, a manly pat on the bottom, even a kiss – on the lips! After winning Newcomer of the Year at the WhatsOnStage theatre awards in February, Daniel Radcliffe found himself in a clinch with Gavin & Stacey's James Corden. Before an audience of their peers, the two young men appeared to enjoy a lengthy snog.
The rise of the "bromance" ought to be cause for celebration. This trend has spread from the Continent, where it has always been acceptable for male friends to engage in a bit of slap and tickle. Silvio Berlusconi never had any problem planting his lips on the pasty cheeks of Blair or Bush.
Now, it has become the norm in the Anglo-Saxon world, where public displays of affection have been embraced from Hollywood to Capitol Hill. John Travolta caused a stir when he planted a smacker on Kirk Douglas at the Santa Barbara film festival last year, and three years earlier Douglas's son Michael was seen smooching Danny DeVito at the Golden Globes.
In the UK, even the stiffest of upper lips trembles at the thought of another man's embrace. Here is Prince William, first of a new generation of potentially progressive royals, air-kissing his frigid father. It's a charming image of familial bliss. Long live the bromance. The new rules of manhood suggest that you're not a real man unless you're... more
