Christ stated in the Bible that the Israelites must observe and do the Laws, Statutes and Commandments in order to receive salvation/eternal life. Matthew 19:16 “And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?” Verse 17: “And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, The Most High: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” Many of our people believe in a false doctrine which is that Christ came to remove the laws. Matthew 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. (meaning Christ did not come to put an end to the laws written in the Old Testament but rather, to fulfill the prophecies that were written of Him in the law and by the prophets. Read Luke 24:44)” Verse 18: “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Verse 19: “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven (meaning he shall be destroyed; read Matthew 5:20): but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Does Faith in Christ remove our duty to keep the laws, statutes and commandments of The Most High? NO!
Romans 3:31“Do we then make void the law through faith? Elohim forbid: yea, we establish the law.” James 2:17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” How do we show our faith and love towards our Elohim and his Son Christ? 1st John 5:3 “For this is the love of The Most High, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” The laws, commandments of The Most High are perfect and just as it stated in the scripture; it’s not a grievous burden.
