Last year in December, China has announced that they have the world fastest train which can reach speeds of 394 km/hr. Does that make China satisfied? It does not seem satisfied enough since Chinese announced back that they will soon have the world fastest trains with speeds up to 1000 km/hour or 2.5 times the trains that they have today. But off course, it is not an ordinary train but the train will be used with magnetic system called Maglev. With this new system, the existing tracks would not be used or in other words they will create new tracks that could use this type of Maglev. And the reason why the Maglev has not been widely used because of the price to make it would cost about US$ 2.95 million/km. China will always do more because the existing Maglev system with the maximum speed is only 361 miles per hour (581 km per hour) and owned by Japanese nationals. So in order not to be outdone, they put a target of two times the speed currently available now.http://wikiwig.com/2010/08/china-is-developing-the-maglev-train-with-a-speed-of-1000-km... more

The true understanding of events, both historical and modern, are crucial to the development, awareness and spirituality of the human condition."
