I know. It’s a salute to Alec Baldwin and it would probably make more sense to have his puss as the main picture, right? But I had to put Mariska Hargitay’s at Alec Baldwin’s salute as the main picture because she’s a doll and it’s been too long since we’ve seen her. Don’t get me wrong I love Alec, but I love Mariska a little bit more

Only one American hero has earned the rank of Green Beret, Navy SEAL and Army Ranger. Just one operative has been awarded 16 purple hearts, 3 Congressional Medals of Honor and 7 presidential medals of bravery. And only one guy is man enough to still sport a mullet. In 2010, Will Forte brings “Saturday Night Live’s” clueless soldier of fortune to the big screen in the action comedy “MacGruber.”

“Live is not easy,” Seth Meyers said.
Ironically, he wasn’t talking about his day job, as SNL head writer and Weekend Update anchor. Actually, the “live” he referred to was the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ “An Evening With Saturday Night Live” event, held at New York’s Pierre Hotel last month.
When all the participants were seated, they discovered one of the mics didn’t work. And to make matters perfect, that mic belonged to Lorne Michaels, the show’s creator and executive producer. But matters soon were straightened out and, much to the delight of a packed house, the ensemble went on to discuss everything from the advice Michaels gives new cast members to the advice he gets from his mother.

“Saturday Night Live” has been around for 35 years. That it survived is sufficient to give it iconic status, and we all know what that means. Yes: retrospective.
Whether it’s a collection of an artist’s work in a museum, a showing at the American Film Institute or a TV special, retrospective is mandatory. In fact, in the case of SNL, iconic means a series of retrospectives, recapping decades in the show’s life.
The latest -- and fourth -- incarnation airs tomorrow. “Saturday Night Live in the 2000s: Time and Again” is wonderful in the way each of its predecessors was superb. You see highlight exclusively; erased Orwellian-like are the sophomoric skits beloved only by the people who wrote and appeared in them.

Last night an NBC spokesperson said that there is "no truth to firing conjecture, she will not be fired." The cast member can feel at ease, with her job, even though she may have felt the wrath of the Lornecat.

As a dancer, Michael Jackson was great. He was like Fred Astaire.
