Shadow People, also known as Shadow Folk, or Shadow Beings, are usually attracted to one person or location for unknown reasons. Often they are seen as dark silhouettes of human-shape, generally male, that prefer to watch someone unseen and flee the moment they are noticed. Still this doesn't always fit the experience. While some people distinctly see a shadowy human form others have dexcribed shapeless wispy black blobs and swirling columns of dark smoke. There has been an increase of reported sightings of these creatures within the last five to ten years, though there is anectdotal evidence of these creatures appearing before human witnesses through out our history. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/bizzareweird/32325-who-or-what-are-the-shadow-people-Shadow People, also known as Shadow Folk, or Shadow Beings, are usually attracted to... more

French photographer Alain Delorme became fascinated with the sculptural quality of migrant workers loads while on art residency in Shanghai. His documentation of the packed bicycles forms a series of photographs entitled Totems, which are both aesthetically glorious and astoundingly indicative of daily life in China. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/section-blog/5512-manufactured-totemsFrench photographer Alain Delorme became fascinated with the sculptural quality of... more

It might seem bizarre that science is using art to learn about the mind—looking for hard facts in the most ethereal of places. But great artists turn out to be the world's first neuroscientists. Consider the flightless fluffs of brown otherwise known as herring gull chicks. Since they're entirely dependent on their mothers for food, they're born with a powerful instinct. Whenever they see a bird beak, they frantically peck at it, begging for their favorite food: a regurgitated meal. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/section-blog/290-unlocking-the-mysteries-of-the-artistic-mind-It might seem bizarre that science is using art to learn about the mind—looking... more

We've had a week off. I realized I should do a post today because, Andrew took this idea and made it newsy with, Some -Gates that aren't -Gates. But we don't have time for real info, lets get back to some FAILs that I don’t think are really FAILs.
Where did someone FAIL in this picture? This is the future of Christmas lights. I predict someday the Pissing Santa will replace the Christmas Tree.
Oh, never heard of environmentalism? If he's opposing climate change, it's not very green to waste signs. He can use the sign he made for the G8 Summit in London, this week in Copenhagen.
This so-called FAIL is probably from people opposed to art in public spaces. Sure it costs taxpayers a little bit of money, but how dare you put a price on human expression. Art in public space has been shown to reduce crime, and inspire the elderly.
Okay not all of us are first year veterinary students. It's easy to confuse Raccoons and Lemurs right? Or maybe this is a street crew of lemurs, who call themselves the Raccoon Gang. I don't know, but this is more of a "you are a bit nit-picky" FAIL.
"Come on, I'm sure the dude who was at the front of the roller-coaster was enjoying himself. Not a fail!"

Wouldn't this be more of a FAIL, if someone forgot to put this sign on? This alerts me that someone pooped in the microwave, and now I probably won't use it.
I think this is a beautiful photograph. I'm not even being sarcastic. Plato would have never imagined that a FAIL so perfect could exist outside the realm of Forms. We've had a week off. I realized I should do a post today because, Andrew took... more
