November 7, 2008 (LPAC)--Precisely in line with Lyndon LaRouche's Oct. 30, 2008 warning about the danger of a British-engineered assassination of President-elect Barack Obama, the London media is gloating over the prospects that the Illinois Senator may not live to take his oath of office on Jan. 20, 2009.
Typical of the kind of ``propaganda of the deed'' filling the pages of the British media, since the Nov. 4 elections, is the screaming headlines in the British tabloid, Daily Express, on Nov. 6, which read, in bold letters: ``TARGET OBAMA--FEAR OBAMA MAY NEVER MAKE IT TO THE WHITE HOUSE.'' The text of the article, which was subtitled, ``A MILITARY-style operation to keep Barack Obama alive was under way yesterday within hours of his victory,'' included a detailed report on the President-elect and his family's Secret Service protection, and a debate between Sen. Obama and his bodyguards over his refusal to wear a bullet-proof vest at all times.
The Daily Express story, which was picked up by British newspapers and other media outlets throughout the Commonwealth, was punctuated by comments like: ``Many fear an assassination attempt is simply a matter of time... Two assassination conspiracies have already been uncovered and the plotters arrested as the special task force to preserve Mr Obama scours the internet and telephone calls for clues.'' And in a reference to an earlier British assassination of an American President, the article quoted from the Secret Service website, ``After the assassination of President William McKinley in 1901, Congress directed the Secret Service to protect the President of the United States.''
``This kind of behavior by the British media does not surprise me in the least,'' Lyndon LaRouche commented today. ``The British are gloating, in public, about their plans to assassinate the U.S. President-elect. This must be stopped, at all costs.''
On Oct. 30, LaRouche issued a warning statement, ``Is Assassination of Obama Britan's Next Move,'' in which he noted that the British had boosted Obama's Presidential campaign, ``but it would be highly unwise to forget the age-old tradition of betrayal with a kiss.''
The LaRouche statement warned, ``In the midst of the ongoing, unprecedented financial and economic breakdown crisis, there is nothing the Anglo-Dutch financial establishment wants more desperately than to destroy the Constitutional, sovereign United States... The looming danger, however, is that the British, having succeeded in getting `their' man into the U.S. presidency, will decide that their objectives will best be accomplished by assassinating him.''
LaRouche concluded his Oct. 30 warning: ``In the face of that threat, sane Republicans and Democrats have to come together as a national force, to defend the country's integrity, and adopt the policies that will save it.''

November 7, 2008 (LPAC)--Today's New York Times, months after the fact, has finally reported that the Aug. 7 invasion of South Ossetia by the Georgian military, was an unprovoked act, targeting innocent civilians, and foreign peacekeepers.
Although Lyndon LaRouche denounced the Georgian action from day one, as a provocation by a government owned by George Soros and his British Foreign Office controller, Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, the New York Times, like the overwhelming majority of the American media, had portrayed Georgia as the victims of a Russian invasion. Now, the New York Times reports that Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (O.S.C.E.) monitors, who were in South Ossetia at the moment of the Georgian attacks, have provided detailed eyewitness accounts that make it clear that the Georgian government of Mikhail Saakashvili was the aggressor all along.
The Times story, its frontpage lead, ran for more than a full page, and contained details from O.S.C.E. briefings by two officials, Ryan Grist and Stephen Young, both retired British officers, who were heading up the O.S.C.E. monitoring team, and were able to confirm that the Georgian invasion and indiscriminate rocket fire on civilian neighborhoods in the South Ossetian capital, all took place before any Russian military reinforcements entered the enclave. The eyewitness accounts by the O.S.C.E. monitors also disputed the key Georgian government claim, that South Ossetians had been firing rockets into Georgian villages, which was also a lie.

SACRAMENTO, Nov. 8, 2008 (LPAC)--As California's financial circumstances plummet at an accelerating rate, the erratic, and highly dangerous, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger continues to demonstrate that he has no idea what to do, except to slash the living standards of Californians. On Wednesday, Nov. 5, he called a special lame duck session of the legislature, to address the latest set of devastating figures. Due to the collapse of revenues, the deficit for the ongoing fiscal year, 2008-09, is now $11.2 billion. The budget for this year, which was completed nearly three months late, must be re-done, as the so-called balanced budget deal, which was a fraud to begin with, has unraveled. In all, it appears that the deficit from the original budget's spending plan presented last January by Schwarzenegger--which was an austere plan, to begin with--is now verging on $30 billion!
This deficit has been growing at the rate of more than $1 billion per week! Of course, this shows that
1) the figures used by Arnie in crafting his bogus budget were fraudulent;
2) that the state's economy is in a free fall.
It is now up to Schwarzenegger to deliver on his promise that he will "fix the broken budget system." The only fix Arnie has, is fascist austerity. After a brief meeting yesterday with legislative leaders, he sent the legislature home. Schwarzenegger has proposed a 1.5% increase in the state sales tax, and a non-paid day off per month for state workers. One Democratic insider reported that, since this will do little to reduce the deficit, the Governor's planned "savings" will include massive cuts in an already gouged public health sector, and deep slashes in the safety net for poor, elderly and disabled Californians. Expect further cuts in the state's antiquated and inadequate infrastructure, as well.

November 8, 2008 (LPAC)--The UN Agriculture and Food Organization (FAO) warned on Thursday, in its latest Food Outlook, that the current global financial crisis will affect agricultural sectors in many countries negatively, including those in the developing world.
Why? The world might face a repeat of this year's food crisis as the credit crunch will bring farmers to reduce planting. "Under the current gloomy prospects for agricultural prices, high input costs and more difficult access to credit, farmers may cut their plantings, which might again result in a tightening of world food supplies" states the FAO report, since falling prices and lack of financing to buy fertilizer will result in lower harvests. "Riots and instability could again capture the headlines."
Conception Calpe, one of the FAO report's main authors, comments that as a consequence, the lower 2009-2010 harvests would also trigger a price surge "unleashing even more severe food crises than those experienced recently." The FAO's warnings come in spite of this year's record cereal harvest and the fall in prices of most agricultural commodities.
For the FAO, "there is a real risk that as a consequence of the current world economic problems, people will have to reduce their food intake and the number of hungry could rise further."

November 8, 2008 (LPAC)--Yesterday the Agriculture Ministry of Brazil released its official projection that next year's soybean output in Brazil--the world's second-biggest national producer--will drop, maybe down to 58.4 million metric tons, from 60 mmt this year. Lack of credit to farmers is the direct cause for the expected reduction in area planted, and less inputs per hectare.
The same picture prevails worldwide. Estimates are for world wheat in 2009, to drop by over 4% at the least from last year. Government projections of crop declines are now being issued for many key commodities and nations, as no international emergency action is undertaken of the kind proposed by Lyndon LaRouche. With world food production already way below need--despite this year's increase in grains--famine is at hand.
There may be a 20% drop in corn output next season in Brazil--the third-largest world exporting nation after the United States and Argentina, according to Brazil's National Corn Producers Association. The Brazil coffee crop may drop 25%. Brazil's decline in soy in 2009 would mark the first annual drop since 2003, when "natural" causes affected harvests, not the financial collapse. In all, Brazil's grain harvest next season--including rice, beans, corn, cotton and wheat--is projected at no more than 141.8 mmt, down from 143.8 mmt this year.
Cargill and ADM, two of the biggest agro-cartels in Brazil and worldwide, have cut off financing for farmers in Brazil. ADM and Cargill usually cover half of the financing needs for the farmer to put in the crop by contracting to accept part of the future harvest. Now, "it's stopped," said Eduardo Dahe, President of the Brazilian Association of Fertilizer Distributors.
In addition, the lack of credit is stalling out international shipments of the current grain harvest, causing pile-ups at American ports, as purchasers are denied letters-of-credit. The Canadian Wheat Board has said it intends to continue to try to ship out grain regardless. The CWB, which is a farmer organization, supplies 70 nations; it is the world's largest marketer of wheat and barley, and is under intense attack by the Brutish financial crowd.
National and local markets are blowing out. In Pakistan, already in chaos, there is no seasonal credit from commercial banks, so paddy rice is not "selling," despite the price plunge by 50%. Some farmers threaten to burn their paddy rather than sell it so low.
In the United States, farmers face drastic declines in prices for their corn and other products, while fertilizer, seeds and power all remain high. One 80,000-kernal bag of Monsanto seed corn, for example (enough for 2.5 acres), rose 45% this year, and is expected to go up another 40% in 2009.
This week ADM announced a 138% jump in its profit for First Quarter 2009, over last year same time, hitting $1.05 billion, up from $414 million. The financial crisis "really is an opportunity for companies that are strong," was the comment yesterday by a spokesman for Cargill Meats Canada, Brian Sikes, in London, Ontario.

November 8, 2008 (LPAC)--As Barney's Bailout Circus was moving into high gear after the collapse of Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and IndyMac in July, 2008, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), head of the House Financial Services Committee, could be found hyping marijuana decriminalization and calling for the "repeal of federal criminal statutes dealing with personal possession of marijuana," at a joint press conference with Rob Kampia, the head of the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP). The MPP financed and/or organized the ballot initiatives for drug decrim in California, Michigan, and Massachusetts this year. (Unfortunately about 10 other House Democrats have signed on to Barney's bill).
The MPP, which handed out grants for about $500,000 in 2007, claims to be the "the largest marijuana policy reform organization in the United States." The MPP claims that its "accomplishments" in 2007 were that "MPP completed signature drives to place marijuana policy initiatives on the statewide ballots in Michigan and Massachusetts. If passed in November 2008, the measures would make medical marijuana legal in Michigan and would decriminalize adult marijuana possession in Massachusetts." Both measures passed. For 2008, the organization, which is part of the George Soros-funded "Drug Policy Alliance Network," (according to the DPA's website), is planning to escalate in 2008 with the following states targetted: Nevada, Rhode Island, and shoring up the California medical marijuana status, which has been overturned in some court decisions, and challenged by communities.
As to Barney Frank's assault on the "General Welfare" clause of the Constitution, with his Soros drug plan, the bill, H.R. 5843, that he introduced on April 17, 2008 is known as the "Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2008," and it was referred to the House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security.
A note on Barney and Nazi-collaborator George Soros: On Sept. 7, 2004, when somebody dared to suggest that Soros's offshore money centers could be linked to "drug cartels," (in this case, media pig Chris Wallace of Fox-TV asking a question to Rep. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.)), Barney rushed to Soros's defense, and organized a letter from 11 House members inviting Soros to come to Congress to talk about "important public policy issues," as part of their attempt to "apologize for the defamatory innuendo aimed at you by others."

November 7, 2008 (LPAC)--Lyndon LaRouche today demanded that, in the interests of the people of Africa, President-elect Obama must deny any post in his incoming administration to Samantha Power. Power, a longstanding policy adviser to Sen. Obama, is a close ally and asset of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office's leading genocidalist, Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, who is now engaged in a filthy campaign to slaughter millions in the Great Lakes region of Africa, through his intervention into the ongoing crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In addition, Power has been on the payroll of the British Foreign Office's leading Western Hemispheric promoter of the narcotics trade, George Soros, for years.
Despite the fact that she was forced to formally resign from the Obama campaign last winter, after she made crude public remarks, targeting Obama's then-Democratic primary rival, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Power has remained in the inner circle around Sen. Obama, and her name has been frequently mentioned for a senior White House or State Department post.
Executive Intelligence Review magazine first exposed Power's association with Lord Malloch-Brown and George Soros on Aug. 22, 2008, in an article by Anton Chaitkin, identifying her as the source of a London Times report that Malloch-Brown was the official liason between the British government of Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the Obama campaign. Power boasted to the Times that Obama ``came to admire [Malloch-Brown] when he was deputy secretary-general of the United Nations. `Obama was really taken with him. It's a relationship that has persisted and they have talked a number of times since.'''
Power was bankrolled in 2003 by George Soros' Open Society Institute, after failing to find any commercial publisher for her promotion of ``humanitarian interventionism.'' Foreign Office operative Malloch-Brown has, in fact, been London's chief ``handler'' of dirty money speculator Soros for decades. Prior to taking a senior post at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Malloch-Brown served as vice chairman of Soros' offshore Quantum Fund hedge fund, and the Open Society Institute. Soros and Malloch-Brown were pivotal in the so-called ``Rose Revolution'' in Georgia, that installed Mikhael Saakashvili into power, and they subsequently bankrolled his government. In the summer of 2008, Saakashvili launched a military assault against South Ossetia, aimed at provoking a new Caucasus war between Russia and NATO.
Now, Malloch-Brown is leading the drive for the biggest genocide ever in Africa. ``I call on President-elect Obama to drop Ms. Power from his team, now, for the sake of Africa. No one associated with someone like Lord Malloch-Brown, who has the blood of potentially millions of innocent Africans on his hands, should be permitted anywhere near the White House. November 7, 2008 (LPAC)--It's a time-tested drug mafia method, which gained special notoriety in Colombia in the 1980's and 1990's: the British-run drug-runners give you the choice of playing ball with them, and getting lots of money; or bucking them, and getting a bullet instead. Silver or lead.
That is how British agent George Soros is operating today in Mexico and Ibero-America, the United States, and worldwide.
One day after a Lear jet carrying Mexican Interior Minister Juan Camilo Mourino and former Deputy Attorney General in charge of the war on drugs, Jose Luis Santiago Vasconcelos, crashed in downtown Mexico City on Nov. 5--in what was most likely a targetted political assassination--PRD Senator Rene Arce presented legislation to "legalize the cultivation, production, transportation, trafficking, transfer, distribution, supply, marketing and consumption of marijuana," according to an account appearing in the Mexican daily {El Financiero}. Arce's legislation would also "authorize the cultivation of up to five cannabis plants for personal therapeutic consumption, or for non commercial ornamentation in private homes, and the government could export the drug in accordance with national and international laws," the daily reports.
Earlier this year, the PRD presented drug legalization legislation to the lower house of the Mexican Congress, gathering widespread support across party lines in an increasingly terrorized Mexico, including from the Calderon government itself.
Similar drug legalization ballot resolutions, financed by George Soros and his allies, were approved in the American states of Michigan and Massachusetts in the Nov. 4 elections.
In the immediate aftermath of the Mourino and Santiago Vasconcelos deaths, the Mexican government has scrambled-- unconvincingly--to insist that the incident was nothing more than an accident, and by no means a drug mafia hit. The plane's two black box recorders have been sent up to Washington, D.C. for expert evaluation. Both British and American experts have been called in by the Mexican government to help with the investigation.
