While a solid release date for Gran Turismo 5 remains shrouded in mystery, new details surrounding the game’s ability to connect with its PSP brethren suggest the two may have a play date scheduled for this holiday season.
Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo series creator and CEO of Polyphony Digital, recently revealed to French gaming site, JVN, what gamers can expect from the PS3/PSP connectivity inherent to two of this year’s most anticipated titles.

After years of waiting, forgetting it existed, then remembering that the last version was actually called "Gran Turismo 5: Prologue," the time has been announced when the next full, much anticipated, version of the series will be hitting shelves.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's James Armstrong dropped a few hints in an interview with El Financiero (a Spanish publication) that they expect to see GT 5 on shelves in time for Christmas next year.
There is one thing to note, Gran Turismo 5 only gets a little mention towards the end of the article, meaning the information provided was pretty (ok, very) limited, with Polyphony Digital apparently not 'publicly endorsing this timetable.' But from that, I draw the same conclusions as the kids over at 1UP; that Sony and Polyphony will be running the same schedule....
