Perhaps even more interesting is the fact that the screenplay is done by Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop). That’s definitely a big name right there. Digital Frontier, the crew that worked on Resident Evil: Degeneration, will be doing the CG. Talking at the Namco Bandai Level Up event in Dubai, Tekken-creator Katsuhiro Harada urged fans to forget about the recent straight-to-DVD Hollywood movie, as this is the first film project his team has been officially involved with.

"The Dead to Rights series gets a reboot in Dead to Rights: Retribution. Jack Slate and his trusty bear-dog Shadow return to Grant City, the slum-ridden and dying metropolitan jungle, to fight crime without any regard for actual laws or morals.
"Jack’s story is ripped straight from the headlines – within the first 20 minutes of Retribution, his life changes forever. His father is murdered by an ex-military fanatic whose sole motivation is taking over his beloved city, which is under siege by armed union members, overzealous police officers, and common thugs. Developers Ninja Theory, the team that brought you the PS3 exclusive Heavenly Sword, have finally released the first video glimpse at their new multiplatform title, Enslaved, over at GameTrailers.
The game, set in a post-apocalyptic world, follows Monkey and Trip as they attempt to flee from some angry looking robotic beasties. The catch? Trip has slapped a control device on Monkey that will kill him if he tries to abandon her. Sounds like the beginning of a beautiful friendship, eh? I predict they’ll be kissing before the end of the game.
Enslaved, only seen heretofore in screenshots, supposedly contains some elements of the classic Chinese tale, Journey to the West, and I have to admit, it looks pretty darn spiffy in motion. Hit the link for the GT trailer for now – we’ll replace it with our own once video is available.
