Medicinal marijuana plants in Mendocino County can now be identified by visible tags distributed by the sheriff’s department.
Sales of medicinal marijuana zip-ties began Wednesday at noon.
The ties help law enforcement identify if a plant is being grown for legal purposes. If it can not be verified that a plant is legal it is subject to confiscation and destruction.
