“Tron: Legacy” won’t leave one -- or at least a good one.
It has neither the story nor special effects to make it stand out. Worse, it is a 3-D spectacle, rather than a 3-D spectacular. In fact, at the IMAX screening I attended, the most stunning 3-D wasn’t in the film, but in the 3-D promotion prepared by the theater. The theater’s creative department had the sense to have lights, words, actions come out at the viewer to heighten the 3-D experience.
