UN's Gaza war crimes probe to screen hearings live
The United Nations team which is investigating alleged war crimes committed during Operation Cast Lead, last January, announced on Wednesday that it would broadcast the hearings it plans to hold with Palestinian and Israeli victims live.
The team, led by veteran war crimes investigator Richard Goldstone, will hold the hearings in Gaza City on Sunday and Monday, UN officials said.
Spokeswoman Doune Porter said that the hearings would be broadcast and the media would be allowed to view them from a separate room.
She said Wednesday that the team also would hold hearings in Geneva on July 6-7 under the same conditions.Jun 24, 2009 22:46

Israeli soldiers who raid the homes of Palestinians are more polite than the Palestinian Authority security forces in the West Bank, the mother of a top Hamas terrorist. Her son, Yihye Ayyash, nicknamed The Engineer, was responsible for a spate of suicide bombings in the 1990s that killed more than 100 Israelis and wounded hundreds others.
"When the Jews come, they ask for permission and cry out before they enter a house." She said that Abbas's security forces acted in a "barbaric" manner and did not take into account that women and children were sleeping inside the house. "They behaved in a shameful way," she said.
The mother was speaking shortly after 30 security forces loyal to PA President Mahmoud Abbas stormed her family's house in the village of Rafat in the West Bank. The Palestinian policemen did not even knock on the door, she added. "They raided the house and started searching for weapons," she said. "They left behind a lot of damage. Even a copy of the Koran was not spared."Israeli soldiers who raid the homes of Palestinians are more polite than the... more

Palestinian President Abbas recently acknowledged that Olmert had shown him a map proposing a Palestinian state on 97 percent of the West Bank. He confirmed that Olmert "accepted the principle" of the "right of return" of Palestinian refugees -- something no previous Israeli prime minister had done -- and offered to resettle thousands in Israel.
In all, Olmert's peace offer was more generous to the Palestinians than either that of Bush or Bill Clinton; it's almost impossible to imagine Obama, or any Israeli government, going further.
Abbas turned it down.

In a report released last week, a former legal official with UNRWA accused the organization of politicizing the Palestinian refugee issue. James Lindsay, UNRWA's legal advisor from 2002 until 2007, said the agency should conduct background checks so as not to hire terrorist organization members anymore; help those who wish to move out of refugee camps by expanding loans; and shift from a "status-based" system of aid designated for refugees to a "needs-based" system. In a report released last week, a former legal official with UNRWA accused the... more

A clerical error led the UN to falsely accuse Israel of shelling one of its Gaza schools in the Jabalya refugee camp during Operation Cast Lead, the international organization admitted this week.
For close to a month, the UN accused the Israel of hitting the educational compound ran by its Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, which was sheltering more than 1,300 Gazans as the IDF battled Hamas in the camp on January 6.
When quizzed by The Jerusalem Post with respect to statements regarding the incidents made by OCHA and UNRWA in the past month attacking Israel for the incident, both organizations denied that they had ever verbally accused Israel of hitting the school. Israeli defense officials noted that in two previous reports, the UN had stated that the IDF attack had been against the school and not outside the school.A clerical error led the UN to falsely accuse Israel of shelling one of its Gaza... more

What does the Hamas Charter Say?
1) The reason for Hamas aggression is, according to the group's charter, that every inch of modern-day Israel is "Islamic Waqf land given to all generations of Muslims until the Day of Resurrection." The charter states: "In this respect, it is like any other land that the Muslims have conquered by force, because the Muslims consecrated it at the time of the conquest as religious endowment for all generations of Muslims. . ." There is no avenue of compromise, no area of debate; for Hamas, the land of Israel is forfeit to Islam, forever.
2) "There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by jihad," says the charter.
3) "The hour of judgment shall not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them, so that the Jews hide behind trees and stones, and each tree and stone will say: 'Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.' "
4) It accuses Jews of causing the French Revolution, the Communist Revolution, World War I and World War II, and with forming "secret organizations, all over the world, in order to destroy [those countries'] societies and to serve the Zionists' interests, such as the Freemasons, the Rotary Clubs, the Lions. . ."What does the Hamas Charter Say?

LESS THAN 1 OUT OF 3 FATALITIES WERE CIVILIANS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, whose death toll figures have been widely cited, reports that 895 Gaza civilians were killed in the fighting, amounting to more than two-thirds of all fatalities, new figures show the civilian death toll at no higher than a third of the total.
The international community had been given a vastly distorted impression of the death toll because of "false reporting" by Hamas. As an example of such distortion, the incident near a UN school in Jabalya on January 6, in which initial Palestinian reports falsely claimed IDF shells had hit the school and killed 40 or more people, many of them civilians. The UN has since admitted that the UN school was never hit and that it had been duped by Hamas. In fact, he said, 12 Palestinians were killed in the incident - nine Hamas operatives and three noncombatants. Furthermore, as had since been acknowledged by the UN, the IDF was returning fire after coming under attack, and its shells did not hit the school compound.
Of the 1200 killed, 580 have been conclusively "incriminated" as members of Hamas and other terrorist groups.
Another 300 of the 1,200 - women, children aged 15 and younger and men over the age of 65 - had been categorized as noncombatants. Counted among the women, however, were female terrorists, including at least two women who tried to blow themselves.
The 320 names yet to be classified are all men; sources have yet to complete its identification work in these cases, but estimates that two-thirds of them were terror operatives.
Several fatalities who had been classified by the Palestinians as "medics," turned out to be Hamas fighters, including Anas Naim, the nephew of leading Hamas official.LESS THAN 1 OUT OF 3 FATALITIES WERE CIVILIANS... more

"Posters Of Dead Sell Well In Gaza"
The men wearing these signs are advertising someone's dead baby. Take away the personal connection and that is what you are seeing here. Tell me what purpose does it serve other than keeping a wound open and desensitizing the murder of your enemy or any human life for that matter? And CBS loses points for putting "by Israel" in the title, you assume too much.
But don't worry, as one shop owner exclaims: the good times of high volume "business" won't last as "This will continue for a month or so, then we'll go back to the usual stuff and only 30 percent will be martyrs," he said. "They (the martyrs) might get less, but they don't go away." By getting less I suppose he means their posters won't bring home enough blood money. The human being is a commodity in arab country so be careful who you stand up for."Posters Of Dead Sell Well In Gaza"

Of the numerous war conflicts in the world today, 31 of them are ISLAMIC related. Tens of thousands of innocent people are being killed by islamic radicals in Sudan or Chechnya. Islamic fascism is being ignored in the West.
For centuries Islamic fascists have spread their faith by the sword. Today, a majority of the worlds religions have rationally evolved. Almost all of them today can live side-by-side and peacefully with one another. There's one religion, some might say, a hijacked religion, that refuses to be at peace with its neighbors and herein lies the main problem.
Today, 31 of the 41 war conflicts around the world rage on with radical islam involved.[Click the link for current conflicts.]

MUSLIM "PEACE PROTESTERS" CALL FOR "JEWS TO GO BACK TO THE OVEN"

*** BREAKING NEWS ***
To all those that think you can be anti-zionist but not anti-semitic, be aware that that is a distinction that a larger percentage of the arab yourth does not understand. You are literally getting into bed with rabid antisemites who attack Jews for just being Jewish. Jews who have nothing to do with Israel.
When you support the Palestinians to the exclusion of Israel you are supporting these violent racist forces. I'm sure it's not your intent, but it's a fact that this is what is happening. Jews are being attacked because arab youths are not distguishing Israeli soldiers from europeans who happen to be Jewish.
It would be absurd and immoral for me to attack random muslims in america because hamas is firing rockets into israel. The thought wouldn't even occur to me. But to the arabs, apparently it makes sense to attack random Jews. Sad and immoral.
----
PARIS (AP) - Signs are mounting that the conflict in Gaza is starting to spill over into violence in Europe's towns and cities, with assaults against Jews and arson attacks on Jewish congregations in France, Sweden and Britain.
Assailants rammed a burning car into the gates of a synagogue in Toulouse, in southwest France, on Monday night. Unlighted gasoline bombs were also found in a car nearby and in the synagogue's yard.
A Jewish congregation in Helsingborg, in southern Sweden, also was attacked Monday night by someone who "broke a window and threw in something that was burning," said police spokesman Leif Nilsson. Neighbors alerted rescue services before the fire took hold.
Someone also started a blaze outside the premises last week. And on Sunday slogans including "murderers ... You broke the cease-fire" and "don't subject Palestine to ethnic cleansing" were daubed on Israel's embassy in Stockholm.
In Denmark, a 27-year-old Dane born in Lebanon of Palestinian parents is alleged to have injured two young Israelis last week, opening fire with a handgun in a shooting that police suspect could be linked to the Gaza crisis.
France has Western Europe's largest Jewish and Muslim communities and a history of anti-Semitic violence flaring when tensions in the Middle East are high. In 2002, some 2,300 Jews left France for Israel because they felt unsafe.
In the Danish shooting, one Israeli man was shot in the arm and another in the leg as they were selling hair care products in a shopping mall. Eli Ruvio, who owns the company that operated the stands, said his employees have been harassed by Muslim youths since they set up three kiosks in the shopping center in August.
"They kept cursing and shouting at us," Ruvio told The Associated Press. He added that the Muslim youths also threw mud and firecrackers at the employees and spat at them.
Ruvio recalled an episode Dec. 27 when some of the youths shouted "slaughter all the Jews."*** BREAKING NEWS ***

The Palestinians are the newest of all the peoples on the face of the Earth, and began to exist in a single day by a kind of supernatural phenomenon that is unique in the whole history of mankind, as it is witnessed by Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist that acknowledged the lie he was fighting for and the truth he was fighting against:
* “Why is it that on June 4th 1967 I was a Jordanian and overnight I became a Palestinian?”
* “We did not particularly mind Jordanian rule. The teaching of the destruction of Israel was a definite part of the curriculum, but we considered ourselves Jordanian until the Jews returned to Jerusalem. Then all of the sudden we were Palestinians - they removed the star from the Jordanian flag and all at once we had a Palestinian flag”.
* “When I finally realized the lies and myths I was taught, it is my duty as a righteous person to speak out”.
This declaration by a true "Palestinian" should have some significance for a sincerely neutral observer.
Indeed, there is no such a thing like a Palestinian people, or a Palestinian culture, or a Palestinian language, or a Palestinian history. There has never been any Palestinian state, neither any Palestinian archaeological find nor coinage. The present-day "Palestinians" are an Arab people, with Arab culture, Arabic language and Arab history.
They have their own 22 Arab states from where they came into the Land of Israel about one century ago to contrast the Jewish immigration. That is the historical truth. They were Jordanians (another recent British invention, as there has never been any people known as "Jordanians"), and after the Six-Day War in which Israel utterly defeated the coalition of nine Arab states and took legitimate possession of Judea and Samaria, the Arab dwellers in those regions underwent a kind of anthropological miracle and discovered that they were Palestinians - something they did not know the day before. Of course, these people having a new identity had to build themselves a history, namely, had to steal some others' history, and the only way that the victims of the theft would not complain is if those victims do no longer exist. Therefore, the Palestinian leaders claimed two contradictory lineages from ancient peoples that inhabited in the Land of Israel: the Canaanites and the Philistines. The Palestinians are the newest of all the peoples on the face of the Earth, and began... more
