The new BBC web platform for music is online, offering some kind of mash-up presentations of the artists that make use of semantic resources.
The main source for retrieving and mashing the informations (together with sites like Wikipedia and MySpace) is MusicBrainz, a “user-maintained community music meta-database”, which offers the end-user the possibility to edit the data.

The Guardian website launched earlier today its new online suite of services called “Open Platform“, which will allow web developers to build application using content from the newspaper.
The Guardian content APIs being released includes not only articles but also videos, galleries and other content.

Calais 4.0 is the latest version of the semantic web service and open Api launched a year ago. It enables publishers to add semantic layers to their blogging content - categorizing people, places, events and so on.
It also enables publishers to connect to the Linked Data standards promoted over the last few years by guys like Berners-Lee.
This basically means metatagging oriented to the commercial side of the Semantic Web, through the integration of your content with Linked Data assets from Wikipedia, the Internet Movie Database, Shopping.com and others services.
