There is no contradiction between faith in God and believing that aliens may live somewhere in the universe.

In one of the greatest triumphs of twentieth-century medicine, the promise to deliver us from that crippling contagion was kept. The one-two punch of the "polio shots" developed by Dr. Jonas Salk and the oral vaccine developed later by Dr. Alfred Sabin effectively eradicated polio in developed countries and later in much of the Third World.
But there was a shadow over the conquest of polio. It's estimated that early on, at least, the polio vaccines administered to many millions of people in the U.S. and around the world were inadvertently contaminated. "We took all the precautions we knew of at the time," Salk says today. "Sometimes you find out things after the fact."

Most definitely! Reparations for slavery must be a categorical imperative.
Slavery was the Black Holocaust many times fold.Horrendous and despicable atrocities on the part of Europe aided by Africans in the form of the slave trade were committed against blacks.All of the atrocities such as the invasion ,plunder,pillage and the rape of Africa;
the unlawful abduction and kidnapping of the African people; the genocide of humans (blacks) not healthy to make the infamous journey of the Middle Passage from Africa; the institution and act of slavery for hundreds of years;
Creating and developing the market for slavery; the "illegal breeding" of slaves and the psychological de-humanization and de-Africanization of Africans via torture,whipping,burning,kicking,cutting,hanging,raping and murder.
While economically transferring immense and vasts amount of capital and wealth for European capital accumulation, industrialization and development via the triangular trade, and subsequently under developing Africa and the Caribbean can be classified as major crimes against humanity.
As a consequence of all the above psychological damages, social injuries and economic exploitation of blacks,the question of reparations or restorative justice for slavery is in essence a no brainer.
We are rightfully demanding what is ours.
Apology was a positive first step, although limited. Hopefully,the next step will be the realization of what is due us legally and morally.
