It is just 7 days until we can all go Back To The Future once again. Well, if you live in the UK that is. Fans in the States will have to make do with the Blu-ray released at the end of October.
For some of us, who never got the chance to see the original film in theatres back in 1985, it will be the first time we’ve been able to enjoy Doc Brown and Marty McFly’s adventures across time on the big screen. I fondly remember seeing the two sequels in cinemas but have only experienced the original film on the small screen. Now, thanks to Universal pushing the marketing boat out for the new high-definition print of the film and its Blu-ray debut, UK audiences get the chance to see the film on the big screen. Frustrated Back To The Future fans from across the pond will have to await the Blu-ray which is released on 25th October. It is just 7 days until we can all go Back To The Future once again. CFD!'s Scott Thompson tries to see if the HD remake of an N64 classic lives up to the memories. Put on your nostalgia goggles for our review of Perfect Dark on XBLA.
"Aside from fancy HD graphics and newfangled control mechanisms, this current generation of consoles will surely be remembered for its knack at selling old games. Whether it’s true-to-form emulations on the Virtual Console or tweaked upgrades for the 360 and PS3, the old has certainly made a claim for itself. While there is no end to the list of games people want to see re-released (EarthBound, anyone?), one game has come up more often than most: GoldenEye 007. Though licensing nightmares may keep that game from ever seeing the light of day again, with the help of 4J Studios, Rare has opted to bring its sequ… I mean “spirtual successor” out to play instead."

The PlayStation Blog has set loose the hungry, tooth-gnashing beast that is the God of War Collection’s first trailer.
Okay, maybe that’s unnecessarily dressing things up a bit, but come on now – think back to when you originally played the first God of War. Remember how epic it was? Remember how blown away you were? Ah yes, good times indeed. And now you can relive all of those feelings of badassery in HD at 60 frames per second, with the additional delicious carrot of trophies too!
What’s that? You never played the originals? Well once you uncake the subterranean dirt from between your toes and adjust to the strange light that’s blinding you (we call that “the Sun”), take a look at the trailer below and educate yourself on a time before Quck Time Events were horribly overused. The PlayStation Blog has set loose the hungry, tooth-gnashing beast that is the God of... more

Back in April when Sony put out a survey to gauge interest in what fans would like to see in a possible God of War III Collector’s Edition, one of the biggest attention-getters on the list was the possibility of God of War and God of War II on the disc also. Well, while this isn’t exactly that announcement, it’s still pretty cool – Kratos’ classic adventures are bound for the PlayStation 3.
