Spanish police arrested 11 Pakistanis and an Indian in an operation, codenamed Operation Fish, suspecting this organised crime group of forging passports and other travel documents for terror organisations, including al-Qaida. The 12 men were brought to Madrid and produced in court on Wednesday. The Indian, Jangeet Singh, was arrested from Valencia.
According to Spanish police, the network that they claim to have busted is involved in counterfeit documents, human trafficking and drug smuggling, and linked with document forgery and connected to other groups in France, Belgium, Switzerland, UK, Germany and Thailand. The investigations are now centred on trying to see how much this group is connected to global terror organisations. The operation, reports from Spain said, was done after coordinating with police from other European countries.

Mans desire for control over others, ego driven NOT having humility, compassion of spirit and for protection of human life as valuable. historical and religious disparities centuries old, and lack of understanding and tolerance between cultures, lack of love towards humankind in every sense of the word. inbalances of natures resourses and the division of such, need versus greed, lack of intellectual capital, knowledge and trust in governments and these countries of need,

Lack of committment towards common purpose, lack of accountability towards the earths citizens, to much envy and greed, more investment into peoples health and self reliance, educational and rebuilding communities from the ground up with trusted people in place, mediators.
The so called world leaders need to get into their communities, step off their pedestals and make a committment for peace, fortheir people and for their children and granchildren, on a collective level it is all possible, I strongly beleive we can effect change, one person, one villiage, one city, one country at a time, when there are police armed, faction groups will take it upon themselves to think they can then arm themselves with dangerous weapons, where a peaceful nation is where one feels safe in their community, the gross spending of weopons for military might is a sure sign of INsecurity, I have faith and god in my life, itsa psiritual warfare out there and spiritually we can affect change this must begin with the change of heart and in the home.

The ganja smoker for e.g. whether for religious, social or health reason gets a certain satisfaction from his spliff.
The Police Commissioner had admitted that the various plans to combat the situation
have not met with the success expected.
What he did not know was that they were destined to fail for the very simple reason that crime and violence are products of the social order which springs from the polices of the government.
In so doing he is harming no one he maintains.
Treated like a child not only is he denied his right to do so but he is also subjected to the added abuse of being made a criminal for life and becomes part of that social order where education and habitat are well below the norm.
He has long since lost faith in leaders to whom he had looked for his basic needs and the defense of his human rights He is tired and frustrated over promises unfulfilled.
(Put us in. Vote for me and your worries are over).
He wants his offspring to “come out” better than himself.
He does not see it happening. He realizes that that the money that should have been used to help do this has been used instead to build remand centres to put his friends and associates who have been increasingly subjected to the same abuses meted out to him.
(In the USA President Reagan cut the education vote to build more prisons to house run more drug offenders.)
Subconsciously his world gradually becomes one of hopelessness. Survival depends on him, and the reactions against the society for the abuses begin .
Then from his leaders he begins to hear words like zero tolerance and values and attitudes. And the government wonders that there is an increase in crime and violence.

Once the "delicacies of the Antarctic," fresh seal brains, penguin eggs or grilled cormorant are off the menu at research bases where chefs rely on imported and often frozen food.
"You have to use what you've got in the store. Frozen stuff, tinned stuff and if you're really desperate the dried stuff," said Alan Sherwood, a widely praised chef at the British Rothera base on the Antarctic Peninsula.
"We're now onto dried onions because we've run out," he said.
"You can't just go out and buy some."
Rothera gets most of its supplies by ship twice a year -- in December and March --
with the occasional flight from Chile.
The 1959 Antarctic Treaty sets aside the continent as a nature reserve devoted to peace and science and bases have over the years stopped eating fresh wildlife. Seals were shot at Rothera for dog food until 1994 when dogs were banned from Antarctica to protect the environment.

PATANCHERU, India – When researchers analyzed vials of treated wastewater taken from a plant where about 90 Indian drug factories dump their residues, they were shocked.
Enough of a single, powerful antibiotic was being spewed into one stream each day to treat every person in a city of 90,000.
And it wasn't just ciprofloxacin being detected.
The supposedly cleaned water was a floating medicine cabinet — a soup of 21 different active pharmaceutical ingredients, used in generics for treatment of hypertension, heart disease, chronic liver ailments, depression, gonorrhea, ulcers and other ailments. Half of the drugs measured at the highest levels of pharmaceuticals ever detected in the environment, researchers say.

The number of child abuse reports in Jamaica increased dramatically in 2008, the nation's Office of Children's Registry reported Saturday.
The office received 3,784 child abuse reports last year, up from only 425 complaints in 2007, a significant increase for a nation with a population of about 2.8 million.
OCR Registrar Carla Edie told the Jamaican government news service, JIS, that the people of Jamaica have become "increasingly mindful of their legal responsibility to report such incidents," and are increasingly concerned about child safety, given a recent trend of violence against minors in the country.
According to JIS, a police report issued late last year said that, between January 1, 2008 and November 1, 2008, 73 children were murdered and 383 cases of carnal abuse were reported.
