In a real-life Willy Wonka-like story, a 12 year-old schoolboy has beaten thousands of other youngsters to land every child's dream job - official taster for a sweet company.
Harry Willsher won the coveted post by emailing a description of his favourite sweet, the Drumstick lolly, to Swizzels Matlow, a confectionery company based in Derbyshire.
His chief responsibilities will be eating Love Hearts, Refreshers and Cola Bottles in the name of research to make sure they are up to the standard expected by the average confectionery connoisseur.
He will now receive sackfuls of the company's produce direct to his door. Harry said: 'I couldn't be more delighted - I reckon it's the best job in the world.'
Mum and Dad have already accompanied him on a Willy Wonka-style tour of the company's factory. They say: 'He has also been given his own overalls embossed with his name and business cards which say "sweet tester".'
Business cards? Sweet. But I wonder if he gets free dental benefits with that contract - he's going to need them.In a real-life Willy Wonka-like story, a 12 year-old schoolboy has beaten thousands of... more
