The Guardian calls artist Jorge Colombo's pieces "impressively delicate and lively" and say they have "an impressionistic immediacy" - high praise for sketches made on an iPhone application called Brushes.
Colombo's work is intended to be a visual diary of what he sees, rather than a new kind of art or something equally pretentious. Like the band made entirely of iPhone instruments, it's a brilliant use for the device and from the looks of this Wired article (below), he's not the only one making eye-poppingly lovely doodles.
