“On the Tuesday morning following the Labor Day weekend (Sept 8th), the director of the daycare of Northeast Health announced to employees on the spot (without a meeting, memo or discussion) that everyone had to go get a flu shot immediately and staff would be rotated so that everyone would be inoculated by the end of the day,” writes Clare’s sister.
“Clare said “I don’t get flu shots” and was told “well then you’ll be fired.”“On the Tuesday morning following the Labor Day weekend (Sept 8th), the director... more

JustGetThere | The media is reporting on the governments preparation for a massive vaccination campaign this fall for the hyped up H1N1 hybrid flu virus. Recently Katherine Sebelius, the Health and Human Services Secretary, granted legal immunity for vaccine manufacturers during the stage 6 pandemic declared by the WHO. Even more troubling than the new vaccines or antivirals themselves, is the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) declared by the FDA, which enables the use of expired stockpiles of Tamiflu or Relenza, and non-compliance with label requirements. The EUA authority will also permit the FDA to allow the use of “unapproved or uncleared medical products” during an established emergency.
The new stock of vaccines the governments purchased, has been fast tracked for approval by the FDA. Health officials admit that the clinical tests are about dosage amounts, and not safety. So the new vaccines being approved for the fall campaign, have the potential to cause severe harm or death, due to the lack of safety tests.
The AP reported-----
~~~
The clinical trials are mainly aimed at calibrating the doses to give to patients, not to test if it is safe or not, officials stressed.
"We are not trying to find some yet unrecognized problem with the vaccine," said Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota
~~~
This is an appalling statement considering the 1976 mass vaccination campaign for swine flu, that injured hundreds of thousands and resulted in dozens of deaths from Guillain-Barré Syndrome. It is also a very cryptic statement, unrecognized problems, meaning that they will not explore how the body will react to new vaccines with unapproved adjuvants like Squalene.
The WHO even admitted (http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23724398-details/Vaccine+for+swine+flu+may+be+unsafe+warns+WHO/article.do) the swine flu vaccine being fast tracked in the EU may be unsafe because it allows firms to bypass large-scale human trials.
So with reduced safety testing, would you trust a vaccine manufacturer whose contaminated vaccine could have potentially caused a pandemic?JustGetThere | The media is reporting on the governments preparation for a massive... more

The German health ministry announced on Friday that an estimated quarter of Germany’s population will be eligible to receive the flu shots. This confirms reports earlier this week that the government had plans to order 50 million vaccine units against swine flu. The vaccines will be available from September, to coincide with an expected surge in flu cases.
Health state ministers late on Thursday agreed that chronically ill patients, health care workers, police officers, fire fighters, public workers and pregnant women can receive the injections first. Two shots are needed for the vaccination to be effective against the (A)H1N1 virus.
“The vaccinations are a precautionary measure,” said health ministry spokesman, Klaus Vater. “No one can tell how the new virus will develop in the coming weeks.”
Despite the priority immunization list, Federal Health Minister Ulla Schmidt insists that everyone who wants to be vaccinated against swine flu, will be able to do so. Protecting the entire population is expected to cost health insurers an estimated two billion euros.The German health ministry announced on Friday that an estimated quarter of... more

The following message is being distributed on behalf of the VP, Student and
University Life.
Please direct all inquiries regarding this message to USM Health Services at
780-4134 or 780-4923 with any questions.
University records continue to show you as not having met all immunization
requirements. As a result a "hold" has been placed on your record that will
create a challenge for you in current and upcoming class pre-registration
cycles. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE THIS TO NOT BE AN IMPEDIMENT TO YOU
PRE-REGISTERING FOR CLASSES. Eliminating this impediment is entirely
possible and the following is a summary of suggestions for rectifying the
challenge depending on your situation.
1. You may feel that you ARE in compliance and that our records are not
current. This is always a possibility given that yours is one of 10,000 or
so records of this nature and mistakes are possible. If this is the case,
please accept my apologies but I must ask you to follow up and again provide
records supporting your compliance. Please contact University Health
Services at 780-4134 or 780-4923 for clarification of what records are needed.
2. You know that you are not in compliance and need to acquire one or more
immunizations. To accomplish this, you may either contact University Health
Services at 780-4211(Portland Campus) or 780-5411(Gorham Campus) to schedule
an appointment (there is a charge for this...you may pay in cash, via credit
card or have the charge placed on your student bill)OR you can arrange for
appropriate immunization(s) with another health care provider of your
choice. If the latter, documentation of immunization (or proof of immunity)
must sent to USM Health Services via fax (780-4911) or via mail (University
Health Services, University of Southern Maine, PO Box 9300, Portland, Maine
04104).
3. You know you aren't in compliance but are unable to become compliant
because your health care provider has recommended against (one or more of)
the required immunizations. Documentation to this effect is required and may
be forwarded by fax or mail (see #2 above) to the USM Health Services.
Please be aware that students who choose this exemption and do not provide
proof of immunity will be excluded from taking classes or participating in
activities during the danger period (minimum of 15 days depending on the
specific condition) if an outbreak of measles, mumps, rubella, or diphtheria
occurs as was the case in the Fall of 2007.
4. You know that you are not in compliance and object to same for religious,
medical or personal reasons. This is your choice, of course, but you must
state your objection(s) in writing and forward this signed objection by fax
or mail (see #2 above) to the USM Health Services. Please be aware that
students who choose this exemption and do not provide proof of immunity will
be excluded from taking classes or participating in activities during the
"danger" period (minimum of 15 days depending on the situation) if an
outbreak of measles, mumps, rubella, or diphtheria occurs.
I hope that you will follow up on this matter as soon as is
possible....Please do call USM Health Services at 780-4134 or 780-4923 with
any questions. Information about immunizations may also be found at
www.usm.maine.edu/health/immunization.htm.
ALSO, if you KNOW that you have addressed this matter in the last 3 or 4
business days, please bear with us...it sometimes takes a day or two for the
data base to update.
