When you think about it, Zelda and Peach did let themselves get kidnapped a surprisingly high number of times. Call it Stockholm Syndrome, call it love; those princesses are literally asking for it.
The rest of the best top comedy videos from this week can be found over at Splitsider, including two bored cops, one 20 year old 40 year old, and quite a few terrible decisions.

When Kate Middleton was born, I wonder if she ever thought to herself: “One day, I’m gonna be a princess”. Chances are, she probably did, as it is often the dream of every little girl to be royalty, and we can all thank Disney for that. However, the term “princess” these days has negative connotations, and often refers to a female that is spoiled, greedy, vain, and sometimes cruel. So, today we’re gonna look at some sketch comedy that takes a stab at the whole princess thing. When Kate Middleton was born, I wonder if she ever thought to herself: “One day,... more

It's hard to believe, but a certain running, jumping, mustachioed plumber named Mario turned 25-years-old today. From his early days jumping on bricks and collecting coins in the classic Nintendo game, to his fully dimensional, motion-activated game for the Wii, Mario has been entertaining us for over two decades now. Kudos to him for rocking the same mustache and overalls for 25 years.
Check out this video celebrating the anniversary with a look back every Mario game created. It's amazing how far he's come, just in terms of graphics alone.

There seems to be more and more people who frequent YouTube than the theater. Perhaps that’s because it’s easy to access, free, and offers more hours of entertainment than any movie. Sure, with a great story, quality production values, and even the return of 3D, movies have a lot to offer the public. YouTube, however, offers so much content to suit any escapist’s desire, with a simple point-and-click interface, that movies may cease to be (however, the same fear existed when TV was first invented, but the two media mediums continue to co-exist). Regardless, if Hollywood really wants to start reeling in more money than ever before, they need to really rethink their movie ideas. Here’s some examples of movies that may have been better as YouTube videos. There seems to be more and more people who frequent YouTube than the theater. Perhaps... more

Geeky and romantic, not two words you usually see together.
"You read that right, YT user "bradsmith182" used a nifty program called Lunar Magic to spell "Lisa... Will you marry me?" in Super Mario World. He says that she "may not look too surprised in the video but you should of seen her afterwords, she couldn't sit still!"
Simple level design, easy-to-read message, hidden cam to get her reaction and, of course, the dog. Man, the dog. I hope the little guy's a part of the wedding, although he looks like he might pee on a ringbearer out of excitement."Geeky and romantic, not two words you usually see together.

Gamervision has put together a funny movie trailer parody of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, set in the world of the Mushroom Kingdom. That’s right, a Super Mario Bros related parody.
“You haven’t seen war… until you’ve seen it through the eyes… of Shigeru Miyamoto!”
Gamers will notice that there are a couple old-school references spread through-out. And you’ve gotta love the sound effect usage. Thanks to brodiemash from dumbdrum for sending this over.
