This is a list of our favourite soundtracks of 2011. We are currently working on a list of the best original scores, which should be posted sometime before the end of the year. It hasn’t been the greatest year for movie soundtracks, but I can say that the top five have been spinning in my I-Phone for months. Let us know if you think we left out any soundtracks you would recommend. It is worthy mentioning that there stands a good chance the soundtrack to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo would make the list, but it sadly won’t be out soon enough, so perhaps we will include it on next year’s list instead. Enjoy! This is a list of our favourite soundtracks of 2011. We are currently working on a... more

Most moviegoers can agree on one thing: there were way too many movies this year. If you’re (un)fortunate enough to live in New York, you had the opportunity to see around 600 new features come and go; the rest of us didn’t get that many fewer. That means that anyone who’s been put in a position to make a top 10 (or top 15, or top 20…) had to make some sad cuts. So we thought it appropriate to highlight some of the year’s most memorable individual moments, scenes, and sequences, from movies that may or may not have made our individual year-end lists. Some were from movies we didn’t love; some are from movies we didn’t even like, but all stood out. Which is no small feat considering just how insane the release calendar has become.

Prosecuting Young People Who "Sext": For Real?
http://youthoutlook.org/news/view_article.html?article_id=291d343848c536930869ef5eb91f0add
In a society that glorifies and worships sex as if it were some ancient omnipotent deity, it's sort of hard to avoid stumbling upon sex-related topics. For example, it's so ridiculously easy to send a picture message to any number of people in the contacts list of your cell phone, only to have racy photos spread all over the Internet in just one day.
What the hell was picture messaging invented for anyway? It's technology like picture messaging that makes it so easy to violate people's lives and privacy.
"Sexting" is a popularized term that refers to the act of sending sexually explicit messages or images through electronic devices like cell phones. Over the recent years, sexting has become common practice, and in doing so, it has evolved into a very serious issue.
