We just had the 11th anniversary of what is arguably the most tragic event on American soil in recent history. It should be a day of national solidarity, and certainly should not be used as a tool of political gain. But tell that to Fox News.

Fox News

Lane Bryant had been set to launch its campaign for Cacique, its new lingerie line, during “Dancing With the Stars.”
ABC says plus size retailer Lane Bryant’s claims that the network refused to air a commercial featuring a model in lingerie are no more than a fabricated publicity stunt.

Like clockwork, every time even a few inches of snow falls, out come the conservative media's anti-science crazies. To them, cold weather proves what they already believe: that there is no global climate change. Their disregard for the practice of science mirrors their disregard for the practice of journalism, and it's just one more reason why they can't be trusted.Like clockwork, every time even a few inches of snow falls, out come the conservative... more

Even Republicans should be able to get stoned, according to a Fox News anchor. While interviewing Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, Fox News' Gretchen Carlson found herself in the curious position of advocating for marijuana rights Friday.
Chong told Carlson that he wants to see marijuana legalized -- but not for Republicans. "We want to legalize pot for everyone that wants to smoke it. You know, we don't want to legalize it for Republicans."
Carlson quickly came to the defense of stoners in the GOP. "That wouldn't be fair. Would it?" asked Carlson. "I mean being fair and balanced, if you want to legalize it shouldn't you want to legalize it for everyone?"
"I want to legalize it for everyone," answered Marin.
This isn't the first time that the duo have pulled politics into their desire for legalization.Even Republicans should be able to get stoned, according to a Fox News anchor. While... more

This week in a San Francisco Federal District Court, a legal odd couple will be on display. Attorney David Boies, who represented Al Gore before the U.S. Supreme Court in the infamous 2000 case of Bush v. Gore, and conservative attorney Ted Olson, who represented George W. Bush, are joining forces to overturn California's Proposition 8. It will be their contention that the initiative passed by voters in 2008 banning same-sex marriage in the Golden State violates the Equal Protection and Due Process clauses of the U.S. Constitution, singles out gays and lesbians for a disfavored legal status, and discriminates on the basis of gender and sexual orientation.
Regardless of which side prevails, experts agree the case is likely to be appealed all the way to the highest court in the land.
Cue right-wing media hysteria and homophobia.http://mediamatters.org/columns/201001110033

Does Fox News have anymore walls in their glass house? All those stones tossed over the past year and they are still at it....
Jon Stewart ripped into Fox News for posting a graphic in response to the hacked emails of climate change scientists about their use of statistics in support of global warming. Stewart seized on the idea that Fox News and Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson might not be as stupid as she seems on the air.
The graphic, reporting misleadingly the figures about public opinion from a Rasmussen poll, showed responses to the question:
"Did scientists falsify research to support their own theories on Global Warming?"
The question results posted were:
59% Somewhat Likely
35% Very Likely
26% Not Very Likely
Here is the video:......

Jon Stewart skewered Fox News last night for covering every tea party protest in America (no matter how small) but not sending a reporter, or even a camera crew, to cover Sunday's gay rights march which included more than 75,000 protesters. Stewart and his team at the "Daily Show" counted how much time Fox devoted to even speaking about the march on Washington and it totaled less than 4 minutes.Jon Stewart skewered Fox News last night for covering every tea party protest in... more

This week on infoMania Brett Michaels gets floored at the Tony Awards. Sherri Shepherd talks anatomy on 'The View.' Heidi and Spencer get all, like, spiritual in the jungle. Spike TV uses science, history, and stupid-ness to determine the Deadliest Warrior of all time. Sarah Haskins wonders why best friends in commercials are always trying to sell each other stuff. Sergio
Cilli checks out the most popular music videos on iTunes. And Brett Erlich enjoys the great outdoors vicariously.
