Apparently despite accepting money for, and promoting a gathering at the lincoln memorial on Martin Luther King day, Beck has yet to secure the required permits. Can you really go on the public airwaves and solicite funds like this?

Belavezha Accords is nothing but some hyped up american history event that Fox news is using as a peg to distract people from the important issues at hand like Health Care reform for everyone. Glen Beck as always gives out a dramatic rant about his love for the United States of America but somehow manages to make the US worse by creating idiotic audiences who think Glenn Beck knows something. Fox News claims to have balanced news reports but anyone with half a brain can tell that they are biased. This Belavezha Accords that they want you to look up is just a hoax. Just something to add drama. They are trying to compare the United States to the Soviet Union and how the US is slowly going to a communist route. This is of course completely false as health care reform is merely about giving universal access to a basic necessity of like such as medicine, doctors, hospitals and life saving treatments. belavezha accords is just another fancy thing that may make you think they know, but they don’t. Please, do your own research and see what the Fox News network is trying to make you do. Find your own facts. Image courtesy of Flickr user midv4lley, via Creative Commons LicenseFormer Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) punked conservative talk show host Glenn Beck yesterday by recanting his earlier allegations that House Democrats forced him out of office because he refused to vote for health care reform. Massa resigned on Monday amidst allegations that he sexually harassed one or more male staffers.
Adele Stan has a nice recap of the implosion of Massa’s political career at AlterNet. Massa initially said he was stepping down because he had cancer. Then the news broke that the House Ethics Committee was probing allegations that Massa sexually harassed a male staffer.
Beck gave Massa the entire show. Clearly Beck was hoping the former congressman would lay bare nefarious wheeling and dealing by House Democrats to pass health care reform. Steve Benen of the Washington Monthly argues that the Massa train wreck shows the weakness in the whole Beck schtick. Beck didn’t bother to find out whether there was a conspiracy. He just assumed Massa was going to tell him what he wanted to hear.
Massa and the health care reform conspiracy
As Tim Fernholtz points out in TAPPED, the notion that Massa was forced out over his stance on health care reform was never very promising, even by conspiracy theory standards: Why would Massa take this moment to start listening to the Democratic leadership, having blithely ignored them throughout his brief political career?
More to the point, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel didn’t force Eric Massa to act like a drunken sailor in front of his staff. Clearly, the Dems are relieved to see Massa go. In addition to a near total lack of interpersonal boundaries, he was an unshakable “no” on health reform. The guy is clearly a loose cannon, in the saltiest and most nautical sense. If House Dems had seized the opportunity to get rid of him, that would have been more sound management than conspiracy.
But under the bright lights, Massa dropped the conspiracy allegations and blamed himself for ethical lapses, according Eric Kleefeld of TPMDC. “I wasn’t forced out. I forced myself out. I failed,” said Massa.
In fact, Massa seemed eager to preemptively confess to even more inappropriate behavior: “Now, they’re saying I groped a male staffer. Yes, I did. Not only did I grope him, I tickled him until he couldn’t breathe and four guys jumped on top of me,” Massa told Beck, “It was my 50th birthday. It was kill the old guy.”
Massa even brought visual aids to assist in his own indictment. He showed Beck a scrapbook of a “crossing the line” ceremony from his Navy days. “It looks like an orgy in Caligula,” Massa chirped. His point being that he never got out of the creepy, gropey habits he picked up in the Navy.
He even whipped out an x-ray of his own gut to prove that he really does—or at any rate, really might—have cancer.
By the end of the show, Beck apologized to America for wasting the country’s time.
Kucinich still opposed to reform
Meanwhile, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) remains steadfast in his opposition to health care reform, calling it a giveaway to the insurance companies. On the Ed Schultz Show, insurance company whistleblower Wendell Potter urged Kucinich to quit posturing and take the deal, according to Ruth Conniff of The Progressive. Potter agrees that the deal is a massive giveaway to insurers, but he thinks Kucinich is unrealistic to hold out for a better deal.
Stupak smoke signals
Fervent anti-choicer Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) has been threatening for months to derail health care reform over the abortion issue. This week, Stupak was back in the news with some cryptic remarks. He told a town meeting that there was “no such thing as a compromise” on the abortion issue, but he also said that he was more optimistic than he was a week ago that the House leadership could offer him some kind of acceptable accommodation. Stupack insisted that any such deal would have to be written before the bill goes to the Senate for a vote.

Prior to the corporate Fox News, Glen Beck and Sarah Palin takeover of the Tea Parties, there was the 9/11 Truth Movement, Ron Paul and his Campaign for Liberty. But of course, big TV and big media couldn't show a bunch of people asking questions about 9/11 and supporting a candidate who isn't a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), so they had to hijack it with the war-hawking fake right and plant a bunch of racist neocons like Tom Tancredo to divide and conquer the agenda, right and left, and make money chirping about it all day.
Look up Project Mockingbird and COINTELPRO. The way these agents infiltrate movements, exploit, control and discredit them from within is very Avatar.

(I'll preface this post by explaining that it does come from a media advocacy organization therefore I won't be reposting the editorial elements of this article in its summary however I'll be providing my own based on the facts of the data on news coverage which speak for themselves.)
This week has brought to us what sadly may prove the worst humanitarian crises of a generation. Struggling U.N. aid workers have discussed that as bad as the southeast asian tsunami was this is proving frustrating in new ways as there are no longer any functioning beurocracies with more than ten government ministries either damaged or destroyed and the U.N mission itself severely damaged and personnel displaced. The Haitian government has said that they fear as many as 100,000 are dead and that the total may be much worse.
In the face of this crises, the leading conservative media outlet in America has chosen to devote only seven minutes to Haiti over its top rates shows compared to its rivals including MSNBC which were shown to have devoted more than two hours. Fox's headline detailing the presidential response read, "President Obama Reacts to Haiti Earthquake Faster than Christmas Bomber." Upon the announcement that the Obama administration had accepted Haiti's request to give Haitians in America temporary protected status, an immigration policy designed to respond to natural disasters or war the headline read "Obama Moves to Grant Amnesty to Haitian Illegal Aliens." On the same topic a fox news guest and sitting congressman suggested that all Haitians in America should be immediately deported and forced to become relief workers.
Rush Limbaugh first stated that Obama was responding quickly to appeal to his black light and dark skinned constituency. Then, in response to a caller said that "Americans already give to Haiti, its called the federal income tax." When a caller brought up what his mother was doing to help limbaugh replied, We've been helping them for thirty years and its all come to nothing. In 1994 Limbaugh had this to say about Haiti. "We are there because the congressional black caucus want's it. Our only interest in Haiti is that they make baseball bats." Previously this year Limbaugh criticized Obama for ordering the killing and capture of somali pirates stating a white president killing an African child would be treated differently.
Glen Beck mirrored the Fox Headlines by complaining, that he believed that the presidents reacted quickly to intentionally divide Americans. While Pat Robertson of the 700 Club Said that Haitians were cursed because their slave revolt was a deal with the devil to rid them of the French and they had suffered misfortune throughout history as a result.
Fox did respond to the criticisms of its coverage, with two minutes devoted to it on their editorial program Red Eye. Thats a third of the time they had previously spent covering the disaster on their editorial programs. Calling the group responsible for the study disturbed, and then playing a supposed animated reenactment of the organization talking about the study which ended with one of the two characters representing the media advocacy organization soliciting the other for gay sex.
I'll judge Fox and the rest of the conservative media through their own rubric: "We Report You Decide." Please let me know what decision you reach on this fair and balanced news coverage of more than 100,000 killed, three million made homeless and the two million children among the affected. If you believe I am fabricating these reactions I will post each individually for your edification.http://mediamatters.org/blog/201001150038 (I'll preface this post by... more
No one has been less forgiving than Glenn Beck when it comes to Democrats with tax problems. Not just the well-known ones like Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner but also less serious ones such as Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, whose husband only recently paid off $6,400 in tax liens on his auto repair business, and Nancy Killefer, who withdrew her nomination to be White House chief performance officer, citing a $946.69 tax lien on her Washington home.
Their tax issues are just one indicator of “a culture of corruption among some of the left,” Beck declared just last month in a segment on his hugely popular Fox News television show, in which he branded Geithner, Killefer, Solis and a handful of other Obama nominees “tax cheats,” whom he wouldn’t trust “with my children, let alone my children's future.”
Mocking the excuses offered by the nominees, Beck sarcastically intoned: “Oh, the tax thing, it was an accident. It was my husband's fault. I didn't do it, he did it. I didn't mean to do it. I was just working hard for the people.”
So what to make, then, of the fact that Beck has had his own minor tax problems over the past few years?

There is a movement afoot to stop Fox News. Michael Moore recently said that the top 1% of America's population owns more wealth than the bottom 95% combined. He questions that we live in a democracy where the few, the rich, control Congress and own everything. ACORN is an organization based on religious teaching to help the poor. Yet Fox News has an all out attack on ACORN as if it were some kind of conspiracy to undermine the wealthy who control this country.
Well they're right. Those who fight for the voice of the people do have the intention of regaining control of this country for the majority of America's as it was founded on, not for the top 1% who Fox caters to.

Glenn Beck does it again: Obama radical Josi Sargent sent packing. Beck's truth will set us all freeGlenn Beck is exposing radical after radical in Obama's radical administration, and the President has no other choice but to throw more of his inner circle overboard in the wake of Beck's persistence.
You have to give Beck a lot of credit. Love him or hate him he definitely is exposing facts about Obama's inner circle that are ugly truths even the President himself knows the American people will not stand for. By dumping these radicals overboard Obama continues to prove just how radical his administration really is. I'm sure Jeremiah Wright will welcome Van Jones and Josi Sargent with open arms in the exhaust fumes of the Obama Express.
