After a rally demanding the immediate expulsion of migrants seeking asylum in Israel led to a spate of attacks on Africans in Tel Aviv late Wednesday, political leaders condemned the violence but vowed to crack down on illegal immigration.
As the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports, 17 people were detained after the protest for “attacking African passers-by and journalists, breaking into and looting shops associated with the African migrant community and shattering car windshields.”
Mordechai Brener, an Israeli photographer and activist who sympathizes with the protesters, posted video on YouTube that showed some of the fiery speeches by members of Israel’s Parliament who attended the rally, and the ensuing violence, including images of a mob surrounding and attacking a car filled with Sudanese migrants and smashing the windows of African businesses in south Tel Aviv’s Hatikva neighborhood.

A criminal record, even for assault, is not a barrier to someone becoming a private-security escort; "-Independent

""Their welcome is an interview by the UK Border Agency that often puts welfare at risk and is used to gather information which is later used against them. Such interviews, carried out without any independent adult or legal representative present, and sometimes without the right interpreters, would be entirely unacceptable anywhere else in Britain. Children should not be treated in this way."

French immigration minister Eric Besson has announced he will clear the makeshift tents in Calais known as the jungle. This report by Onyeka Igwe, reveals the true hell of the Calais ‘jungle’ and the incredible journeys migrants have made to get there. Besson claims clearing the ‘jungle’ is a humanitarian action, but this report tells a different tale and makes the case for Open Borders. Besson’s disgraceful initiative to preserve UK border controls is guaranteed to provide further hell for the aspirant young migrants whose only crime is wanting to make a better life for themselves. Besson is not offering migrants accommodation but is promising repatriation. Humanitarian? We don’t think so.
