Should you be afraid of Saoirse Ronan? For a tiny girl, she packs a wallop - getting James McAvoy accused of rape in Atonement, haunting Stanley Tucci from beyond the grave in The Lovely Bones, and now killing without remorse in her latest, Hanna. As the title character, Ronan is a genetically modified teen assassin, trained to fight by Eric Bana, but she's been sheltered from civilization until she's sent on her first mission, to go after Cate Blanchett. Will she get the better of her, or will they decide to team up instead on The Hobbit? Ronan talks about learning to fight for Hanna, and how that will help her future roles.

After chronicling Ireland’s hardships, sorrows and joys in films like “My Left Foot,” “In the Name of the Father” and “The Boxer,” Jim Sheridan turned his eyes to America in 2002 with the appropriately titled “In America.” That was a transitional film of sorts for the Irish filmmaker: the story of an Irish immigrant family that tries to adjust to life in New York City. Sheridan’s next U.S.-based film was a rather unexpected choice: “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” starring 50 Cent, a loosely biographical story based on the rapper’s life.
“Brothers” is an equally unconventional choice. Based on the 2004 Danish film by Susanne Bier (“Things We Lost in the Fire"), Sheridan and screenwriter David Benioff not only tackle the classical Cain and Abel story of sibling rivalry but also the war on Afghanistan. Opening three days after President Obama’s decision to deploy 30,000 additional troops to that region, “Brothers” becomes an unexpectedly relevant film.
