Well, if he wanted it drawn out as long as he could, the man’s got his wish.
The official start of the divorce trial between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries finally has a date: May 6th, which means that even with Kris’ lawyer deciding to drop his ass, it’s going to take even longer for the two to separate and oddly enough, adds another period of time that somehow spans longer than their actual marriage (they were wed for 72 days, if you remember correctly).
Kim’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, had been gunning for a trial next month — claiming Kris’ lawyers have abused the legal system by stalling for no good reason. The judge finally laid down the law and set a trial date, but the first available time for the trial is May.
Kris’ lawyer predictably tried to get another delay before setting a trial date, but the judge wasn’t buying what he was selling.
If you think about it, Kim’s baby should be nearly here by that time as well (she’s rumored to be about four months)– and I bet they’ll be yet another delay once that happens.
Mark my words — they won’t actually be divorced until Kimye’s kid is in college.

You didn’t think something like being paralyzed for a day would keep her down, would you?
Even though she had to cancel her tour for a surgery that will repair a tear in her hip, Lady Gaga’s heart wouldn’t keep her down and she found herself visiting a young sick fan in a hospital in hopes to bring her a little cheer.
Wednesday afternoon, the Born This Way singer visited 5-year-old Kayleigh Gurbynski, who’d been diagnosed with a hypoplastic left heart and Turner’s Syndrome. Little Kayleigh had hoped to see Mother Monster’s show on Wednesday and traveled all the way from Wisconsin to Chicago — only to find that the show, as well as the rest of the entire tour, had been cancelled.
The meeting, which happened in Chicago, had reportedly been orchestrated by local radio-show host Tony Waitekus, who reached out to Gaga’s camp to see if the eager Little Monster could score some face time with Mother Monster.
And even if the show didn’t go on, Gaga’s get-together with Kayleigh did—a poignant moment that Waitekus chronicled on his radio station’s Facebook page.
Well, you just can’t complain over that one — she may severely overwork herself, but as you can see, her heart is in the right place.

Well, that pretty much ends one of the weakest arguments in music history.
Following rapper Eve’s comments that Britney Spears’ voice isn’t the one heard on will.i.am’s massive hit “Scream and Shout”, a rep from Britney’s camp pretty much expressed what we all knew from jump: that it is indeed the Femme Fatale on the track.
“It’s absolute BS”, said her publicist, Jeff Raymond. “Britney sang the song. Will.i.am wanted her for this song and she sang on it.”
However, just to throw some shade back, a source from the studio recordings wondered just where Eve was getting her info from, throwing in that “I didn’t even know she still sings.”
Well, she never really sang, per se — but burn point taken.

Well, if it’s true, this is definitely going to be bigger than expected.
Following his thrilling return to the Grammy stage, Justin Timberlake kept his fans on a high when he revealed that he was definitely going on tour with his new album, The 20/20 Experience.
“We’re definitely going to go on tour,” he shared with Ryan Seacrest before his performance.
But it turns out that was more than just the “we” of his band. According to sources, his partner on his lead single, “Suit and Tie” will be joining him on the road: rapper Jay-Z.
Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are planning a tour, according to a report in The New York Post. The duo linked up on Timberlake’s comeback single “Suit & Tie,” which they performed at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.
However, Justin (who also recently joined Instagram) may want to tread lightly on this double bill, if it happens: Jay once toured with R&B artist R. Kelly on a tour known as the Best of Both Worlds tour. It eventually went up in flames for various reasons and ended up with just a solo show with Jay-Z following a disastrous appearance at Madison Square Garden.
Let’s hope this one goes better!

The probation case of Chris Brown and the fact of whether or not he completed it is getting fishier by the moment.
The police chief who signed off on his supposed fulfilled hours, Chief PD Bryan Norwood has officially resigned from his post in the middle of the scandal.
Norwood was “intimately involved” in making sure Chris performed all 180 hours on community service following his altercation with Rihanna as well as making sure he was the one to handle the case personally when it was handed off from Richmond P.D. in Virginia and even wrote a letter to the judge in the case, proclaiming it was completed.
The Mayor of Richmond says his office and the Chief reached a “mutual agreement” for his resignation.
There had been speculation for weeks the Chief might have resigned to get a similar job in Raleigh, North Carolina, but the buzz in Richmond is that the Brown scandal accelerated his decision.
If they were hoping to somehow come out of this unscathed, something tells me this wasn’t the way to do it.

Something tells me her mother may have helped this one along.
Angelina Jolie’s 4-year-old daughter, Vivienne (one of her biological children with Brad) is on her way to becoming a certified movie star in her own right. She’ll be appearing with her mommy in Disney’s latest take on the Snow White story called Maleficent — told from the perspective of the wicked witch (which Jolie will be playing).
But not only is she starring in a blockbuster with one of the world’s biggest stars, the little one is bringing in a lot of bank: about $3,000 a week! Not to mention a per diem of $60 a day, which could easily fill up her little piggy bank.
Vivienne is set to star as little Aurora (that would be Snow White) in the flick. Sometimes, it’s good to be famous — even by association.

Ah, I keep forgetting: Rihanna’s a singer!
In spite of all of the crazy (and there’s a lot of crazy), the Barbadian superstar managed to take a moment of pause to release a new music video for the song “Stay” off of her seventh album, Unapologetic.
Actually, she released two — there’s a one-take version as well.
The song features Mikky Ekko, a indie pop singer.
While from a visual standpoint, it’s actually quite beautiful in it’s simplicity, I have to ask an honest question: seven albums in, is the world really ready for Serious Rihanna?
Yeah, she’s dabbled with it somewhat before (“Unfaithful”, “Russian Roulette” and the still powerful and Grammy winning “We Found Love”), but I think my main problem now is that it’s taken her way too many albums to apparently want to be taken as a true musician. But that’s just my thought.
Check out the clip for yourself after the jump and make your own assumptions.
Also, don’t get too used to this track — she’s said to be releasing a video for the song’s double-A side, “Pour It Up”, very soon.

Well, that was interesting.
The 55th Annual Grammys came in with a bang and left with… well, in truth, a bit of a whimper.
There were some exciting moments, such as Justin Timberlake’s retro turn on the stage with his current single and a new track from his upcoming The 20/20 Experience, as well as another new song last night (which you’ll hear in the very near posting future) Taylor Swift sang that same damn song again and tried to come for ex-boyfriend Harry Styles in the middle of it (which was weak as Hell and pretty damn childish), the talented Brit Ed Sheeran had a duet with another popular Brit, Sir Elton John and Rihanna managed to slow down her life for a minute and actually sing a song — even though she cuddled up to Chris Brown for the entire evening (even though they both entered the Staples Center separately).
All in all, it made for a somewhat decent show. Should you want to relive some of the performances (or any you chose to missed), you can check them all out here.
As for how many eyes tuned in — well, not as much as hoped: ratings were down from last year’s telecast (although that may have had more to do with the passing of Whitney Houston, which transpired a day before last year’s event — more on her later).
There were no clean sweeps, although there were some repeat visits to the stage for some, in award acceptances and performances (Rihanna was one of those for the latter, rock group fun. for the former).

Even though he wasn’t nominated, he still managed to have a fulfilling weekend… of pure failure.
Turning his back on the Grammys probably wasn’t the best choice for Justin Bieber on a karmic scale, because it seemed like everything he did in order to compensate for his snub and subsequent choice not to attend the ceremony fell right before his eyes.
It began Saturday as he made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live (he’s appeared on the show before solely as the performing act). His acting skills were obviously a bit off and many felt that he relied on cue cards a bit too obviously.
However, as he told the writers of the sketch show that there was nothing off-limits in poking fun with him, they definitely took him to task.
In a sketch where he played a overhyped version of himself, his bodyguard (played by SNL regular Jason Sudeikis) attempted to make Justin feel safe by hiring “look-alikes” who mostly looked nothing like the Biebs, including some that weren’t the same color as him.
“Some of these guys are black; you aren’t fooling anyone”, he said.
“Well, neither are you, little buddy”, came the reply.
Yeah, they went there.
And it got worse from that point, including a supposed “in-joke” apology about his weed scandal in a later sketch that fell on deaf ears and light applause (mostly from his fans — who stood outside during NYC’s blizzard hoping to get tickets).
But it wasn’t over yet. Sunday would bring an even stronger sense of failure to the young one.
You can read about that after the jump.
As the actual day of the Grammys came into the world, the 18-year-old decided to make the most of it and have an Livestream chat with his Beliebers, saying he would answer some questions and even play some new stuff he was working on.
The time? 8 p.m. Eastern — which just happened to be the very same time the Grammys would begin airing on CBS.
Now, that was obviously quite the douche move on his part for many reasons, but the world definitely was extremely anti-Bieber at that moment.
Turns out the site wouldn’t even let him on.
“livestream is over capacity it not letting me in the room”, he Tweeted out. “give me a second lol…alright so livestream isnt working.. soo im gonna figure something out.”
That something else was switching over to an alternate camera site, Ustream — except that didn’t work, either.
“really now ustream is over capacity my fans are amazing but this is frustrating.”
So after all of that, he just decided to upload a clip of a new track he was working on called “You Want Me”.
There’s nothing too grand about the unfinished song, but I’m sure it made loads of his fans feel like they were the winners of the night.
Actually, I think the universe was the top choice for taking it all… away from him.
Check out the song here, if you can control your laughter after reading all of that.

And yet, another instance of when the world does things for you.
Before his appearance on the Grammys (and overall rude demeanor when he lost to rival, Frank Ocean — choosing to remain seated as the rest of the audience gave him a standing ovation), Chris Brown continued his bad luck streak when he ended up slamming his car into a brick wall while attempting to get to a charity event.
Chris claimed the paparazzi were after him and caused him to swerve into the side of a building and because he lies, but the paparazzi claimed they were a good distance away from the troubled 23-year-old and couldn’t have caused any accident.
The singer said he was going to sue for the damages — but he might want to worry about what happened following the Grammys before bringing anyone else to court: he was seen driving home from a club with Rihanna by his side.
Which is fine except he was also seen in said club smoking weed with her, therefore possibly driving under the influence, which will do wonders for his probation — which is already in dire straits.
Are we supposed to be feeling sorry for him now?

Even though he wasn’t up for an award last night, the biggest draw of the Grammys was probably Justin Timberlake’s return to it’s stage. That alone probably made his legions of fans happy, but there were a couple of things up his sleeve that really sent them into overdrive.
For starters, not only did he perform a new track from the album (“Pusher Love Girl”) for the first time, he released ANOTHER song from the album onto iTunes.
The song, “Mirrors” was released last night following his performance.
The tune marks the fourth from his upcoming album that Timberlake’s shared with fans. He first made his comeback to music with “Suit and Tie” featuring Jay-Z, then revealed “That Girl,” which he debuted at a pre-Super Bowl party and sang ”Pusher Lover Girl” during his Grammys performance tonight.
And just before the ceremony, the 31-year-old shared his upcoming tour plans for The 20/20 Experience, even managing to joke around on one of his past hits.
“We’re bringing old man back”, he kidded with Ryan Seacrest during the pre-show sitdown. “I’m just excited to get onstage again and play live. “You go through the rehearsal a million times, but until you get onstage, it’s just the rehearsal.”
“We’re still putting it together, but its going to be a lot of fun,” Timberlake said. “I don’t know how much I should say. It’s going to be a lot of fun, I know that.”
Well, I’m definitely ready for some new tunes — as long as he keeps that inner douche in check, though.

The full teaser trailer for the One Direction movie (currently known as 1D3D) was released over the weekend, two days following the snippet on UK morning show, Daybreak and if the preview proves one thing (yes, I did that purposefully), this film is going to be massive.
Director Morgan Spurlock (Super-Size Me) followed the reigning princes of pop and shows the members — Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson — goofing around before their big upcoming tour coming later this year (the first date is in about two weeks) and showing the serious side of fame — especially when Zayn is seen speaking to his mother on the phone and tells her not to cry.

Maybe one moment in time, the memory may not sting as much, but one year later, much of the world still is mourning the loss of Whitney Houston.
Over the weekend, Arista founder Clive Davis — the man who discovered the timeless singer — threw his annual pre-Grammy bash and celebrated her life — the very same party Whitney was getting ready to attend when she was found dead last year in her bathtub at the Beverly Hills Hilton.
The family seems to be getting by — some better, some worse — as best as they can. While her mother Cissy declined an invitation from Clive to attend the shindig (she called the mere thought of the invitation “obscene”), her brother and sister attended in Whitney’s honor to give support to the man who brought the woman known as “The Voice” into our view.
As for her daughter, Bobbi Kristina — well, she was caught smoking something which probably wasn’t a cigarette with ex-fiance (but still boyfriend?), Nick Gordon a couple of days prior.
From a fan’s standpoint, I still have a lot of feelings — if you’re interested, head on after the jump.
It pains my heart and soul to know that Whitney Houston was one of those souls whose light dimmed all too soon. But in that sense of immense sadness, they leave us the most beautiful of dreams and hopes that even though they aren’t perfect, we should strive for nothing less than perfection.
Unfortunately, those we look up to are at times the most tainted of souls. They inspire, create, express and share so much with so many others and we take those words and considerations to heart to make us better people, even when they can’t take their own amazing sense of worth.
A year later, I still find it hard to listen to her songs — I know, it seems so silly — but knowing, loving and missing someone whose beautiful talent helped me out through some of my darkest times in my life… to know that person isn’t hear anymore, it’s a lot to take in.
I remember one of her final television performances: it was during her interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she ended up singing a track from her final album, I Look To You.
When she took the stage to sing, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” which followed the interview; it was a little shaky, but it was strong and real. The lyrics were so immensely honest, you would’ve swore she was singing her own redemption:
“Survived my darkest hour; my faith kept me alive
I picked myself back up; hold my head up high
I was not built to break…”
Sadly, that last line proved untrue. She did break.
And in that, she broke the hearts of many.
Whitney was compared to an angel… but this is Earth and demons can easily take over. Some demons are fought and beaten; some are easier than others.
Sometimes, the demons win.
I don’t want to rehash or revisit any of those stories that became so much tabloid fodder for years — no matter how true they are. This time last year, the world lost an icon, a powerhouse — a true singer — and even though it has been 365 days since the world found out all at once that her voice was forever silenced, it’s going to take some time to truly find some kind of peace from it all, if that’s even a possibility.
A year later or 10 years later — I still miss her.
With that being said, I’d like to share that performance with you here. It’s not the greatest, I know this — and there are countless videos full of perfection that one could share — but I prefer this one because it was real. It was raw. It was honest.
We all have our crosses to bear. We are all human. Keep that in mind and heart before you truly judge her.
She is missed and there are those who will always mourn.
Miss Houston, may you rest always.

And today, I suddenly have a little more respect for this young woman.
It’s becoming apparent that as the years go on, former Disney icon Miley Cyrus is more about letting life come naturally to her. She’s finally doing the music she wants to do, leaving her long recognizable locks by the wayside and kicking it with the ganja (on occasion).
But one thing she will jump to the forefront on: her relationship with hottie fiance, Liam Hemsworth.
Following a story where she was apparently seen with former Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick that was reported by so-called Mr. Now Nice Guy Perez Hilton, the 20-year-old jumped on him via her Twitter and cut him down a couple of pegs.
“@perezhilton hope you find love one day but can you not f–k with mine,” Cyrus tweeted. “I’ve never been with Ed W in my life. I was at the studio last night working on my record and never left with anyone other than my assistant. What happened to your big enlightenment… what happened to your promise to spread love not lies. And to be a decent human being with values and morals??? Dude u ask for people to respect you and your relationships I demand the same thing.”
She closed it out as nicely as possible, expressing that he could “feel free to ask me whatever u want but I can’t tolerate lies. Thanks for understand. Blessings x.”
Epic comments are epic.
Perez responded the only way he knew how — by screencapping the entire conversation and confirming that he was wrong.
