Don’t go chasin’ waterfalls or you might miss this one!
90′s R&B legends TLC are getting the biopic treatment in an upcoming VH1 movie entitled Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story and the roles of the girls have already been filled by some interesting names.
KeKe Palmer (“Akeelah and the Bee”) has been chosen to play Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Drew Sidora (“Step Up”) is going to be filling Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins’ shoes and hip-hop star Lil’ Mama (“Lip Gloss”) is going to be taking on the crazy and sadly, tragic life of the group’s unofficial leader, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
“We really want fans to experience our story in an authentic way,” Chilli said in a press release for the flick. “There is so much to our story that hasn’t been told until this movie, it really has to be done the right way.”
VH1 has taken on TLC’s story many times in different aspects: they’ve done two Behind The Music episodes on the group, as well as aired The Last Days of Left Eye, a documentary which originally was meant to show Lisa’s time while on a 30-day spiritual retreat in Honduras, but unfortunately captured her death in 2002 by way of a car accident.
The movie is set to begin filming in Atlanta, GA next month.

Following a five-month break to properly heal from a bone marrow transplant, anchor Robin Roberts finally returned to the desk of Good Morning America this morning.
“Hi, it’s Robin”, the 52-year-old stated at the start of the show. “And I’ve been waiting 172 days to say this: good morning, America!”
It marked the end of a very hard road for the inspirational reporter, who initially took leave of the morning show to deal with MDS (or myelodysplastic syndrome), a side effect that came from the chemotherapy Roberts underwent to heal from breast cancer, back in 2012 and even more sadly, the loss of her mother only days before she began the life saving treatments.
“Faith, family and friends have brought me to this moment,” she explained, “and I am so full of gratitude.”
She was greeted with a warm welcome from her co-anchors, as well as some very big names, such as President and Michelle Obama, Jennifer Hudson and Oprah Winfrey.
The celebration will probably go on for a while, but Robin is already set for a major interview in the next few days with the First Lady.
“Truly is the dawn of a new day”, she shared on her Twitter.
Indeed it is. Welcome back, Robin.
Check out a small clip of her return after the jump!

Seems like the once dead feud is back up and running strong between legendary record exec Clive Davis and singer Kelly Clarkson.
Following the American Idol’s open letter to the 80-year-old regarding the way he described her in his book The Soundtrack of My Life, Davis struck back on Twitter, stating that everything he said in the book was true and that there were numerous independent sources that witnessed Clarkson’s attitude toward his choices on her career and recordings of certain songs for her albums Breakaway and My December.
“As anyone who has read The Soundtrack of My Life knows, I think Kelly Clarkson is a tremendous vocal talent and performer,” he expressed. “In the book, I provide an in-depth look at our years together during which we shared major multi-platinum success, as well as a few creative differences. I am truly very sorry that she has decided to take issue with what I know to be an accurate depiction of our time together.
He went on to say that through “five independent individuals who were present on a daily basis throughout it all”, he was able to properly give his version of what actually went down.
“The chapter [regarding Kelly] as it is written was thoroughly verified by each and every one of them. I stand by the chapter as written in my book. At the same time I wish, and will always wish, Kelly’s talent and her career to soar to ever new heights.”
So, whose side are you on?

Just when you don’t think you can’t get any lower…
New developments continue to arise in the case of Oscar Pistorius, who is being charged with shooting and killing his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp and now, the once-inspirational Olympic competitor is being painted as the new Lance Armstrong with the discovery of needles and testosterone in his South African home.
The 26-year-old’s lawyers claim that the substances found were nothing more than an “herbal remedy”, although earlier reports claimed that the defense might have initially attempted to prove that his actions toward Steenkamp were the effects of “roid rage”, with claims that there were steroids found in his residence. Blood samples from him were said to be tested to see if the performance enhancer played a role in his murderous actions.
Mind you, this is just the bail hearing, which is expected to be announced one way or the other by week’s end.

Once again, one of the world’s biggest arguments has caused a celebrity to be attacked for her so-called “wrong” usage of it.
Comedian Lisa Lampanelli, who has tagged herself as the “Queen of Mean” was at the center of an attack on Twitter when she posted an image of her with Girls creator and star, Lena Dunham, calling the young star a “n*gga”.
She shared the shot of the two of them at a benefit for the Writers Acting Guild and expressed her excitement with hanging out with the young star.
“Me with my n*gga @LenaDunham of @HBOGirls – I love this beyotch”, the 52-year-old typed.
And of course, people blew a lid over her using it and then went after her via Twitter, calling her “racist” and some not-so-nice other words.
Of course, she took it all in stride and even joked some more about the attention it was bringing her way.
“Gotta go”, she tweeted. “There’s a 6PM show of Django Unchained. Have to go C if it’s racist. LOL.”
“”I have been using these words since I started in comedy”, she said in a sit down with the Huffington Post. “And guess what, people? I won’t stop anytime soon, just because your ass is up on Twitter. I have always used in my act every racial slur there is for Asians, blacks, gays and Hispanics. To me, it’s acceptable if the joke is funny and if it is said in a context of no hate. It’s about taking the hate out of the word.”
“The N-word ending in ‘er’ is far different context from the word ending in ‘a.”, she went on. “Ask any person who knows the urban dictionary, it means ‘friend,’”
Seems like this is one of those arguments in life that just won’t die easily — just ask Michael Richards.
Besides, I think the thing we should be more offended about is someone using “beyotch” in 2013. Really, Lisa?

Well, this is an interesting development.
Everyone patiently awaiting the 85th Annual Academy Awards this coming Sunday won’t be seeing them.
They’ll be seeing The Oscars: as in, that is now the official name of the awards ceremony.
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has decided to “re-brand” the annual awards show and have dropped “the 85th Annual Academy Awards” from it’s name.
So, it’s basically the same boring thing with a new name. Alright, we got it.
“We’re not calling it ‘the 85th annual Academy Awards,’ which keeps it mired somewhat in a musty way,” Oscar show co-producer Neil Meron said in an interview. “It’s called ‘The Oscars.’”
But it might just be for this year only — which makes it all the more strange.
“[It's just] right for this show”, revealed Oscars Academy spokeswoman Teni Melidonian. “But we could easily go back to using ‘Academy Awards’ next year.”
So the point exactly is….?
Anyway, along with Adele, some more performers were confirmed to hit the stage for cinema’s biggest night:
Jennifer Hudson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmaybe, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks and Helena Bonham Carter will honor movie musicals of the last decade Sunday in a live Broadway tribute.
The musical celebration will highlight Chicago, Dreamgirls and Les Misérables, and all the participating actors have starred in one of the big-screen adaptations.
Dame Shirley Bassey, Norah Jones and Barbara Streisand will appear as well.
The 85th Annual Academy Awards The Oscars will air this coming Sunday on ABC; 8 pm/7 c.

“The Jockstrap Raiders” is a delightfully wacky animated short film by animator Mark Nelson, which won the 2012 Student Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. In a slightly altered version of World War I, Germany is building a bridge across the English Channel to invade Britain.
Britain’s sole hope is The Jockstrap Raiders, a former amateur rugby club for freaks and geeks, all of whom had previously been excluded from the war due to various bizarre abnormalities. The team switches balls for bombs and goes into battle aerodynamically shaved and wearing only jockstraps, becoming the heroic flying squadron that foils the invading Kaiser and his army.
This piece includes colorful illustrations and the very humorous, acclaimed animated short film.

“Henry” is an emotionally touching short film by Quebec actor Yan England, which is a 2013 Oscar Nominee for Best Live-Action Short Film. The film is about an 84-year-old concert pianist suffering from Alzheimer’s, whose life is thrown into turmoil when his wife mysteriously disappears. The aging musician is tossed between feelings of hope and suffering as he searches in vain for his lost love, while reminiscing about their past together.
“Henry,” which England financed out of his own pocket, is an ambitious attempt to portray the world of worsening dementia from the inside. Gérard Poirier plays the pianist, Henry, and Louise Laprade portrays his wife, Maria. The 29-year-old England says the film was inspired by the experiences of his own grandfather, who developed Alzheimer’s disease and died three years ago at age 96.
This piece includes color photographs and acclaimed the short film.

The once promising star’s life seemed to spiral at an almost feverish pace. Drugs, rehab stays and a boyfriend who died under odd circumstances almost a month ago were just some of the troubles she faced as the days went on.
A source close to the singer said that she ended her life with a gunshot — as well as that of her dog.
A source tells E! News that Mindy’s father, Tim McCready had been staying with her until this morning when he returned to Florida. When her father left, “she was in good spirits and seemed to be fine.”
Her actions in the past had caused her to lose custody of her two children and the death of her boyfriend, David Wilson last month at the age of 34 (who also committed suicide with a gunshot blast) seemed to send her over the edge. She was rumored to have been involved with his passing, although she vehemently denied those claims.
“I have never gone through anything this painful,” she said in an interview last month with NBC. “He didn’t just touch my heart, he touched my soul. He was my soulmate.”
In a very tragic twist, she also joins another list — the third person to pass away following their appearance on VH1′s reality show, Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew, all in the same season (Real World alum Joey Kovar and former Alice In Chains bass player, Mike Starr appeared with McCready during the show’s third season).
Her final album, ironically titled I’m Still Here, was released in 2010 and charted significantly lower than her past releases.
No matter the perception of her life, may she now find the peace she obviously tried so desperately to find.

The investigation into the tragic death of model Reeva Steenkamp by once inspirational Olympic participant Oscar Pistorius seems to uncover more and more by the moment just how dark those final moments of her life actually may have been.
A cricket bat covered with blood is now said to be at the center of the discovery as to what actually went on early Valentine’s Day in Pistorius’ home, although police are unsure if the bat was used to protect herself from Oscar or to break down the door of the bathroom which she attempted to hide in.
The City Press, a paper in South Africa, says that Steenkamp’s skull was crushed in addition to the gunshot wounds. The City Press quotes a source as saying, “There was lots of blood on the bat. Forensic tests will show whose blood it was.”
It’s also been said that he may have shot through the bathroom door to get to her and then carried her downstairs in an attempt to resuscitate her.
Also, his first call was allegedly not to police, but to a close friend whom he admitted to that he had shot the young woman.

Someone’s trying to do some PR clean-up… and even I have to admit this is sort of cute.
Since a lot of people are seeing Justin Bieber under lights he probably never wanted them to, the 18-year-old decided to attempt to show his softer side — which a very sweet image of him putting his little brother, Jaxon to bed via his Instagram, with a very loving kiss to the toddler’s forehead.
“Put my bro to sleep (with a chokehold) last night, JK he fell asleep in my arms but sometimes big bros gotta put their Lil bros in headlocks”.
He also shared a shot of him vacationing with his family, adding that he “needed” the down time.
Actually, the down time seems to be what keeps him in trouble, so maybe it’s best that he keeps busy — and stays away from picture sharing.

Well, there’s always an upside, right?
Even though the fate of her NBC series Up All Night still hangs in the balance, actress and former Saturday Night Live fave Maya Rudolph has a reason to smile: she’s reportedly pregnant with her fourth child!
Maya apparently told the network that she was currently carrying the next in her brood with husband, Paul Thomas Anderson.
The couple already are proud parents to Pearl, 7, Lucille, 3, and Jack, 19 months.
She, however, may not have a job to go back to following a maternity leave: the series is apparently set to end after attempting (and failing) to “reboot” the show and co-star (and lead of the show), Christina Applegate, deciding she didn’t like the direction it was going in.

Back in the early 2000′s, a young singer by the name of JoJo blew the minds of music lovers everywhere with her amazing and powerful voice that somehow packed into the body of a 13 year old.
She had a couple of great singles under her belt over the next few years (such as “Leave (Get Out)”, “Baby It’s You” and “Too Little, Too Late”), but was never pushed as far as her fellow pop contemporaries and the recording of her third album went through massive changes before being shelved three times.
What many don’t realize is that the amazing performer, born Joanna Levesque, is now 22 years old and has continuously released some of the most amazing songs that you’re probably not even listening to.
Check out the track “Andre” from her second mixtape Agápē (the Greek word for “unconditional love” — as well as the name of her puppy), which was released back in December.
The smooth groove of a song was inspired by one of music’s most understated, yet amazing talents: Outkast’s own Andre 3000.
“Andre’s style is something that I love”, the young beauty said in a recent interview. “I just think the sexiest thing is when a man is himself and does his own thing, and there’s a really great example of that in André Benjamin.”
Don’t worry, y’all; it’s not like she’s dating the guy — but there’s nothing wrong with using someone like that for inspiration.
Check out a live version of “Andre” after the jump. If you’re interested, you can download Agápē for free (yes, it’s a free legal download) here.

Things are a lot more serious than Lady GaGa hoped they were. What was hoped to be nothing more than a couple of days off from her Born This Way Ball due to inflamed joints has now proven to be serious enough to cancel the rest of the dates to the tour, effective immediately.
A post was sent out on GaGa’s fan page, LitteMonsters.com, explaining that the 26-year-old would need surgery for a “labral tear of the right hip caused by strenuous repetitive movements in her performances”, which would send her under the knife to correct and includes loads of “downtime to recover”.
“This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal” reads the rest of the statement. “Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013″.
The tour began in April of last year.
Very sad circumstance, but with her severe schedule she’s seemingly put on herself, it’s not surprising. Nonetheless, we wish her a speedy and safe recovery.

Some celebs seriously need a censor, if only to make sure they don’t induce vomiting from an unsuspecting public.
Pop star Ke$ha, who has had a habit of saying certain things you wish she wouldn’t, allowed cameras to follow her around for an upcoming MTV documentary (how many people are doing this now?) entitled My Crazy Beautiful Life and showed just how crazy she is — by admitting that she drank her own urine during the filming.
Her brother, who shot the doc, caught the thirsty moment for the cameras, which she openly admitted to during an interview to BBC 1.
“He got all the things you would want to see and all the things you wouldn’t really want to see”, she explained. “Making out with dudes, drinking my own pee, jumping out of a building, jumping out of aeroplanes, swimming with sharks …”
Whoa, whoa… you jumped out of an aeroplane?
Oh, yeah — that pee thing.
“I was told drinking my own pee was good … Somebody tried to take my pee away from me and I said, ‘That is mine!’ So I snatched it up and took a chug and it was really gross so I don’t do it anymore.”
Um… I really have nothing to add.

And here comes your daily “celebrities are better than the rest of us” story.
While you were probably waiting at JFK airport yesterday for way too long just to get to the holding area, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian got some preferential treatment that they’re not even being blamed for, even though they went along with it.
The soon-t0-be-parents were coming off of a flight from Brazil to connect to one to Los Angeles at the NYC airport, where they met up with an airline greeter allowed them to pass through a “key security point” to get to their next flight as quickly as possible.
When TSA found out what happened, the two were pulled from the plane immediately — which caused the flight to be delayed for another hour — and they were properly screened before being allowed to board once more.
“… the airline employee violated security protocols by permitting the travelers to by-pass the TSA security checkpoint”, came a statement from the terminal. “TSA officials learned of the violation and conducted a private screening of the two passengers in the area of the jetway.”
American Airlines called the entire thing “a lapse in judgement” and said 50 minutes of the delay came from other “bags [that] were delayed [in] getting to the airport.”
Sure, it did.

So, did you know that former Baywatch babe Carmen Electra was a singer?
Well, not really a great singer, of course — but back in the day, she was one of Prince’s many proteges and released a dance CD where she mostly rapped.
Of course, it flopped horribly.
Well, nearly 20 years later, she’s back at it — releasing a new song and video called “I Like It Loud”.
Imagine if Ke$ha was way too old to be doing the whole sing-rap thing and showed off her body more… and you’d pretty much know what you’re in for before you even hit the play button.
