Yet another day Lindsay Lohan is probably wishing she never fired Shawn Holley.
Judge Jim Nabney, the one leading her current perjury trial, called out LiLo’s new lawyer, Mark Heller as being “incompetent” and relayed that the actress should either get some one who actually knows what they’re doing or waive her right to a competent lawyer in California.
Seems like Heller’s been screwing up since the beginning, messing up on documents that wouldn’t fly in the California law system, him attempting to get the charges dropped after saying Lohan wasn’t properly “Mirandized” (when she didn’t need to be) and an overall bumbling demeanor.
The judge went on to say Heller doesn’t have a clue about criminal law, questioning his competence to handle the case. The California lawyer who’s sponsoring Heller to appear in Lindsay’s case didn’t show up today, and the judge made note of that … not that it would really matter, because the sponsor never practiced law a day in her life.
Prosecutor Terry White made it clear … he’s ready for trial on March 18, where Lindsay will have to face the music in her lying-to-cops case.
Heller was short on the law but long on platitudes … saying the judge needed to show Lindsay “mercy and compassion.”
While “mercy and compassion” might have been the rule of thumb for the actress, she was more than likely nursing off a hangover — she decided to bail on today’s hearing and was seen last night clubbing it up in NYC.
After the hearing, Heller said he didn’t believe he was wrong for the job, but just that things go differently in the New York judicial system.
Sounds like confusion all over — which makes sense considering who we’re dealing with here.

The shocking death of Kile Glover last year was a truly heartbreaking moment for Usher and his former wife, Tameka Foster and now, the person who caused the accident has been arrested.
Jeffrey Simon Hubbard was indicted on Thursday by a Grand Jury in Hall County, Georgia and arrested this morning. He faces charges of homicide by a vessel, serious injury by a vessel and reckless operation of a vessel.
Last July, 11-year-old Kile was vacationing with his birth father when Hubbard’s jet ski collided into him while he was on an inflatable raft. The young boy suffered severe brain damage and never woke up from his coma. He was removed from life support two weeks later.
Hubbard is currently being held without bail and will face a judge in hopes to be bailed this weekend.

Sadly, her “day” has come.
One Day At A Time star Bonnie Franklin, who played matriarch Anne Romano on the hit series of the 70′s and early 80′s, succumbed to her battle with pancreatic cancer this morning. She was 69 years old.
Her role on the Norman Lear series was believed was a “notable… showcase in feminism” (she was one of the first television characters who demanded she was called “Ms.”; a nod to the fact that Anne Romano was a divorcee) and allowed her to be nominated for two Golden Globes and an Emmy.
She was proceeded in death by husband Marvin Minoff (a film producer) in 2009 and had no children, other than the ones from her hit show.
She will be missed.

There are certain comments you hear from celebs who want babies and think, “Wow… I can totally see them being a parent.”
Rihanna’s not one of them.
The Barbadian beauty covers Elle UK for April (twice) and while the girl looks beautiful (and clothed), it’s the headline for the interview that is sure to grab attention and hope it was severely taken out of context.
“I will have a child”, the 25-year-old is saying.
Really, girl? Do you think that’s really a smart idea? Especially with that guy you’re re-dating?
Seriously?
Let’s just hope there’s more on the subject… like, “But not with him.”
The mag hits shelves next Wednesday.
Speaking of people who probably shouldn’t be parents: Perez Hilton recently announced that he’s adopted a baby.

I guess we can’t even feign surprise at Lindsay Lohan nowadays. I mean, the girl makes the wrong choices in, well — everything.
Seriously. Everything.
This time around, it turns out the whatever she’s doing now actress was given a pretty sweet deal once again to remain out of jail: to head to residential rehab for a significant amount of time as opposed to her possibly being locked up for perjury regarding last year’s car crash while filming Liz and Dick.
Her lawyer, Mark Heller, refused to take it.
When prosecutors somewhat relented and said that they would allow her to stick around for only 30 days as opposed to their initial offer of 60 (the “significant amount”), Heller still turned it down.
We’re told Heller and prosecutors have not given up, and one source connected with the talks tells TMZ, “Negotiations are ongoing.”
BUT … sources say Heller and Lindsay are not in lockstep — he’s willing to accept a plea that involves counseling and possibly some sort of rehab, but Lindsay says she’s not accepting any of it because to her it sounds like “punishment for something I didn’t do.”
Something she didn’t do? Really?
Prosecutors already see this one going to trial, which is set to begin March 18.
Can we just send her to jail now for blatant stupidity? Because that should be a crime in itself.

Well, that was surprising.
The hotly anticipated dramatization of Rihanna and Chris Brown’s relationship on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit hit the airwaves last night and while there were some mixed reviews for how the episode actually played out, there were a lot of close replays of what actually went down following that February evening between the two singers.
On the episode entitled “Funny Valentine”, two singers named Mischa Green (Riri) and Caleb Bryant (Chris — but you could’ve figured that out on your own) are in a loving relationship with each other in the public eye, but behind the scenes, there are beatdowns, threats and no one who is willing to talk about what they’ve witnessed on countless occasions.
Mischa keeps baffling police officer’s investigations, saying she’ll speak one moment and refusing to do so the next — repeatedly, even when Caleb ends up shooting her mentor, Brass (that would be the Jay-Z) square in the chest at a single release party for a song the two have recorded together.
As a tongue in cheek joke, one of the detectives quips that the twosome “should go on a double date with Chris Brown and Rihanna”.
But unlike the two of them, this story ends differently and sadly, in a way most domestic violence relationships end.
Following the dismissal of the murder case (which Mischa lies on the stand about), the two run off to Bermuda to get away from everyone’s eyes.
Caleb (Chris) and Mischa (Rihanna) are having a romantic moment on a private yacht when she asks about a text message on his phone. Caleb (Chris) says, “Haven’t you learned to mind your own business?”
The next scene is a reporter at a memorial for Mischa (Rihanna) … whose body was found in Bermuda … floating next to the yacht.
In an eerie connection, today marks the anniversary of the two reconciling back in 2009 following the attack.
It’s hard to tell if SVU was trying to send out a personal message to Riri about her recent reconnection with Chris, but — well, head on after the jump for my personal thoughts.
The similarities in the episode were crazy– the apologetic interview “Caleb” gave on Wendy Williams, the duet release (although truthfully, Riri and Chris had two), the mention of “Mischa’s” grandmother and even the final moments where Caleb and Mischa ended up in the Bahamas (which is what happened directly following the initial story of abuse between Rihanna and Chris) — but I didn’t expect it to end the way it did.
Which is weird in itself, because sadly, that is how it usually does end.
I won’t lie — tears started to fill my eyes almost immediately.
I read something on Twitter: “The biggest part of this SVU episode is that everyone seems to care more about “Rihanna” than Rihanna…” It’s scary how true that is.
I don’t know what’s going on in their relationship right now and frankly, I don’t care — but I seriously hope others watched this episode and seriously saw just how things of that nature can reach such a brutal conclusion.
That was an intense episode — but damn it if every moment of it wasn’t needed.

Must’ve been a slow news day for the National Enquirer.
The tabloid rag ran a story that the awesome Neil Patrick Harris had called off his wedding to fiance David Burtka after a huge fight while going to a big party.
But of course, that was a huge load of crap and the How I Met Your Mother star went to his Twitter to set the record straight in his truly awesome sort of way.
“The Nat Enq is cray cray. We’ve never had a wedding date, just engaged (Prop 8 and all). We’re on a cruise as I write. He’s rad. All good,” he wrote.
The two, who have been engaged since 2006 (although it wasn’t announced until 2011) are the parents of twins Gideon and Harper.

All of that exercise shook something loose up there.
Access Hollywood Live is probably regretting asking fitness guru Richard Simmons to appear on their show on Tuesday where things just got from bad to worse to completely messy.
After possibly offending a group of people with an “Indian” accent, the 64-year-old then put a wooden bowl on his head, broke into a Southern drawl and having a diatribe regarding biscuits.
But that was nothing compared to what happened after now-former DWTS professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy sat on the couch next to him.
The “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” star pretended to throw up in his mouth, and then pretended to walk off set. Simmons then launched into Barbra Streisand’s song “The Way We Were.”
After being told to sit down by the show’s hosts, Simmons made everyone uncomfortable by doing some leg lifts while perched on a couch. As the hosts tried to gain control of the show, Simmons noted that he wouldn’t have shown up if he knew Chmerkovskiy would be appearing. “I would have done the Animal Channel,” he said.
And here you thought exercise was supposed to keep you healthy — apparently, not mentally.

On the eve of the day where the incident that made him infamous is set to be serialized, singer Chris Brown decided to address that fateful night back in February of 2009 that sent his re-girlfriend (we should totally use that term from now on) Rihanna to the front of newspapers around the world and nearly sent his career down the drain.
He says that the incident was the “deepest regret of my life”, but rather than allow a full apology, he once again seems to blame it on just things getting out of hand.
“Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals”, he said to the UK’s Mirror. “”But she loves me — what can I say? I’m forgiven … but, yes, I worked hard for it.”
As for their recent reconnection and feeling like he hasn’t changed, he didn’t really seem too understanding of their attitudes either.
“People attack me and criticize me, it happens all the time”, he expressed. “But they don’t know me, and they don’t know us. It doesn’t bother me any more … Other people can judge us but they don’t know anything.”
Well, we’ll always know that night, dude. It’s obvious neither one of these two are ever going to get it. Ever. And it’s just more than a little bit sad that they don’t.

Well, if you’re gonna aim, aim high.
Remember that “inappropriate” letter that Lindsay Lohan’s newest representation attached to documents during his attempt to get her perjury charges dropped?
Well, it seems like Mark Heller at least (attempted) to have his heart in the right place: he seems to think that he and his team can clean up the life of the troubled actress.
Yeah, he’s serious.
…Heller attached a letter he wrote to the Santa Monica and L.A. City Attorneys to legal docs he filed with the court. Sources connected with the prosecution tell us the letter pissed the judge off because it looks like an attempt to improperly influence the court.
In the letter, Heller writes to prosecutors Terry White and Spencer Hart … “… we, as a team, [can] help ‘fix’ Lindsay Lohan.”
Heller goes on to blame Lindsay’s troubles on her dysfunctional family, claiming you can’t judge her “without considering the pain, torment and confusion which Lindsay has experienced and has been afflicted with.”
He hopes to also do what he can to keep the 26-year-old from jail, expressing that she would take up “intensive psychotherapy”, report to regular screenings for drugs and alcohol and even become a bit of a motivational speaker in hospitals and schools — and even believes they can start up a non-profit in her name.
Oh, it’s sad — he obviously doesn’t know who he’s working with — or apparently, how it will be paid for (as he didn’t mention that in the “letter”).
We’ll give this about another month or so before he realizes Shawn Holley may have had the best way out.

Well, this was something no one probably wanted to see.
Soon-to-be-parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West decided to show off their sexy side (in a bit of the literal sense) on the cover of French magazine, L’Officiel Hommes in a nude pose that definitely have some eyes raised — and not in a good way.
Which, of course, they probably planned.
Kanye’s muscular back is on full-display as he holds his ladylove close, while Kim makes a sensual expression and clutches the back of her baby daddy’s head with her perfectly manicured hands.
In an interesting addition, the reality starlet spoke about that other thing that many believe should’ve come before the baby — marriage — in Cosmopolitan magazine, saying that she believes she’s found the one — and she’s said that before, too.
“[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it,” she said. “I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me.”
Well, maybe this will make it to 73 days — if she ever gets divorced first.

Word to the wise: it’s called a pair of shoes for a reason.
That’s probably a lesson One Direction member Harry Styles has learned the hard way after what took place on a stop in Glasgow (in Scotland) during the band’s Take Me Home tour.
During a down moment while the group chatted with the audience between songs, a shoe suddenly flew on the stage near him.
The 19-year-old then made the mistake of wondering where the other shoe was — and then found it when it flew right into his crotch.
The band rushed to his aid as he went down, but ever the trooper, he jumped back up — after a while.
The laughter, however, probably still hasn’t ended. Poor Hazza.

Well, this isn’t the greatest sign.
No Doubt has decided to “postpone” the tour for their latest album Push and Shove in order to go back to the studio to record new music for an all new album.
The info was released yesterday and while many of their fans might see this as a good thing, keep in mind that their last album was only released within the last six months (the end of September 2012, to be exact).
“We [entered the studio] in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting,” the group explains via their Facebook.
“We have decided to follow our muse for the time being and focus on this new music that we don’t want to stop. So, we will be postponing our tour plans briefly while we endeavor to create something special and inspired. Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible – both recorded and live on tour.”
The album itself hasn’t done too well — with only two singles released and the video for the second single (“Looking Hot”) being cancelled due to controversy.
Maybe they’ll do better this time around. Or maybe not.

Lead singers leaving their bands isn’t really news — but being fired by the rest of your bandmates? Oh, something went down.
Unfortunately, no one knows exactly the reason as to why Stone Temple Pilots’ lead singer Scott Weiland was just ousted from the group by the other members, but it is a bit strange considering he was the charge behind some of their biggest hits since the band got together in 1986.
The group released an ominously curt statement today, saying, ”Stone Temple Pilots have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland.” They don’t give any further explanation.
Weiland denied rumors he was leaving the band just yesterday, telling Rolling Stone, ”STP has not broken up. I haven’t quit. I haven’t been fired.”
The group had reformed in 2008 after a five-year hiatus and toured throughout last year — which makes the news all the more strange.
Rumors began last month of the 45-year-old being kicked out, with legendary guitarist Slash saying he had been fired from the group.
A solo tour is planned to begin next month.

It’s about to go down.
Former (?) frontman to Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Weiland has spoken out regarding his dismissal from the group he led and not only does he claim to not have heard about it until the news broke earlier today, but he’s not going down without a fight.
“I learned of my supposed ‘termination’ from Stone Temple Pilots this morning by reading about it in the press”, he says.
“Not sure how I can be ‘terminated’ from a band that I founded, fronted, and co-wrote many of its biggest hits, but that’s something for the lawyers to figure out.”
I do believe we’ve just seen an epic counter attack.

Sadly, the things we fight in our lives can come back with a vengeance.
One of my favorite singers, Anastacia has revealed on her Facebook through a rep that she is battling breast cancer for the second time after successfully beating the disease back in 2003.
“Anastacia has sadly been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time after having successfully survived her 2003 battle with the disease”, the statement read. “Consequently she has been forced to cancel all performances, tours and any travel from now until further notice.”
She had to relearn how to work her tremendous voice once more — and came through with flying colors — on her self-titled album released in 2004, which became one of her biggest sellers, although it was a personal Hell to get through the recording sessions.
“My doctor told me I’d be tired, not stupid”, she expressed in an interview for the album. “I could not focus on anything. I’d write a verse and then I couldn’t write the chorus or I’d write the chorus but couldn’t write the bridge. I couldn’t talk, I couldn’t think straight, I was totally out of it.”
She had been in remission for 10 years before the recurrence, but promises not to let it slow her down a second time around.
“Anastacia will continue the writing and recording of her new album despite her diagnosis and hopes to schedule a new tour as soon as possible”, the statement on her fan page continued. “Now more then ever, she is determined to live by her motto “Don’t ever let cancer get the ‘Best of You!’” A born survivor, Anastacia has one goal and that is to make a full recovery with the support of her family, friends and everyone around her.”
A obvious born fighter, I know she will get through this and she is in my thoughts.
