The small town of Shingo in Northern Japan boasts having the grave of Jesus Christ:
http://therovingroninreport.blogspot.jp/2012/04/visiting-grave-of-jesus-christ-in.html
While many of the faithful believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again three days later, there's a claim that this did not happen. According to an ancient document called Christ's Will, Jesus actually escaped crucifixion and went to Japan where he lived out his day having a family and dying at the age of 106.
The document further states that Jesus had visited Japan earlier at age 21 and studied Shintoism there for 12 years before returning home to preach.
Interesting factoids to consider:
* The old name of the village is Heraimura which is village of the Herai or Hebrai thought to be a corruption of the word Hebrew.
* An old local custom is too make a cross symbol in charcoal on a baby's forehead to ward off evil
* An ancient long song has no meaning in Japanese and is believed to be an old Hebrew military song praising GodThe small town of Shingo in Northern Japan boasts having the grave of Jesus Christ:... more

omg. How is this not considered terrorism? How would you feel if foreign assholes acted like this in your city streets?
Blackwater was a mercenary organization ("private military") that provided "security" services. The U.S. hired them to perform those services in Iraq and Afghanistan. Because they were not members of our military forces, they were not subject to the same rules and regulations regarding conduct. As such, they have often done some real fucked up shit, knowing that they are largely immune to prosecution. Note here, however, that there was litigation against Blackwater, though most of it was dismissed in court in favor of the "guards."
They are so unpopular, they had to change the name of their company. They became Xe Services LLC and are now known as Academi.
They are still mercenaries and the largest of the three private security firms the US State Department contracts with.omg. How is this not considered terrorism? How would you feel if foreign assholes... more

I’m going to have to mic check you there, Mr. Jones. You’re not talking about so-called libertarians, but your former boss and current president. See, it’s Barack Obama who supports “traditional marriage”; Barack Obama who supports a drug war that sends an alarming number of black men to prison and destroys their employment prospects; Barack Obama who supports a foreign policy that kills children; Barack Obama who supports regulatory barriers that require the poorest of the poor to borrow their way into the workforce; Barack Obama who supports an immigration strategy that rips apart families and sees the children of undocumented workers put up for adoption.
Whether Obama’s support for those policies means he hates gays or brown folk is not for me to say
Libertarians, on the other hand, love brown folk, the gays, the lesbians, the people with piercings, and immigrants. Many of us, after all, fit rather neatly into those categories, and we show our affection for ourselves and our neighbors by supporting the right of all peoples to live free of state-sponsored violence, discrimination, undue imprisonment, and theft; as well as the entirely predictable consequences of both left-wing and right-wing social engineering. This guys is a clown.

Of all the problems that Americans face, especially the youths with littlle future prospects, Americans riot over BASKETBALL; not when their favorite team loses, but when their favorite team WINS.
Not that I want Americans to riot, but they don't riot over trillions be handed over to mega banks and corporations. They don't riot about vote fraud like most other countries do. They don't riot over bills like NDAA being passed. They don't riot over SWAT teams kicking in people's doors and murdering their children as they sleep. They don't riot over pink slime being added to their children's school lunches, or Monsanto lobbyists being appointed to the president's cabinet. They don't riot over illegal wars.
No, they riot over BASKETBALL. When their favorite team WINS.

Nah, maybe someone just sprayed it with Axe.
Remember that time you were so allegedly high on ecstasy that you tried to fuck a tree in front of everyone?
Apparently a girl in Miami at Ultra Music Fest 2012 last week got frisky with a tree as onlookers cheered, laughed, and put it on YouTube.
The video shows the girl gyrating against the tree, kissing it, and even seducing it by revealing her bikini bottom. She must have taken offense to something the tree said because at one point she backs away and appears to scold the tree before giving it a slap. But they soon make up and continue to kiss.
An onlooker can be heard saying: “she was at it for a good 30 minutes now.”
Luckily for her, two friends rush to save her from further embarrassment and carry her off.
The video has become a YouTube hit! Watch it after the jump!

A High School for girls has been accused of ordering pupils to delete their Facebook profiles or risk expulsion.
Female pupils at Beis Rivkah High School in Brooklyn, New York, have reportedly been told to remove their accounts from the social networking site as bosses tried to address a supposed decline in pupils' 'code of modesty'.
A school official said the crackdown was launched to restore a level of modesty said to be in decline through Facebook use.
Pupils at the school said they've been told Facebook isn't compatible with their moral code.
All girls in the 11th grade of the school with Facebook accounts were removed from class and given the ultimatum, according to the Crown Heights community website.
However, earlier this month WDAY-TV and CNN reported that a 12-year-old was allegedly forced to hand over her Facebook password when school officials claimed she was having 'online conversations about sex with another student.A High School for girls has been accused of ordering pupils to delete their Facebook... more

I just posted this on my deviantart journal. Thought maybe I should share here too.
Currently, everywhere I look, people are talking about two things; the Hunger Games, or that Invisible Children documentary.
To address the documentary; Why? I know it's terribly isolationist of me, but we've got hundreds of thousands of 'Invisible Children' right the fuck here, in the US. Children on food stamps, children in foster-care, homeless children, halfway house children, children in gangs and subsidized housing and juvenile detention centers. We've got plenty of children to see to, if only we would chose to see them.
Perhaps I should put this in terms young people today can understand, and reference a popular TV show to illustrate my point.
I find myself thinking of that episode of Suburgatory, where the slightly-less-shallow-than-everyone-else Tessa Altman notices her classmates' wasteful attitudes toward the cafeteria food, and tries to get her school to consider donating leftover food to the needy. She is met with misunderstanding, funny yet offensively ignorant assumptions, and in the end no real change is affected upon the minds or habits of Tessa's contemporaries.
While the Invisible Children documentary does bring to light some seriously horrifying problems that do exist in the world today, and awareness of reality is always a good thing, it kinda pisses me off that in order for a problem to matter to young people, it's gotta be spoonfed to them in easily digestible Bytes of internet-delivered Trends. Here's an idea; put down your goddamn 4g iphone for two minutes and look around you. Find something that matters to you, that exists in the real world, right there in your own environment. There's bound to be something, I assure you, and I don't even care what it is! It could be a community garden, a soup kitchen, a skate park, a youth center, SOMETHING that will get you outside and interacting with people face to face, eye to eye.
Reconnect with humanity; it feels good.
On to the Hunger Games. I must confess, I am not watching the Hunger Games. I am not reading the trilogy the movie is based on. I'm staying away from it entirely. If I want to immerse myself in a depressing, nuanced story about a futuristic dystopian society, I'll read 1984, or Brave New World. Never heard of them? Google is your friend. I just refuse to go anywhere near this unholy hellspawn of Twilight and Battle Royale.
I know some of you must be thinking, 'Twilight? What similarities could Hunger Games possibly share with Twilight?' Well I'll tell you. There's a love triangle, complete with the twilightesque 'teams' all the fangirls seem compelled to set up for such things. It's gross.
And to be completely honest, the premise of the movie, even though 'it's been done', and this particular incarnation is obviously pitifully watered-down and disneyfied, terrifies the crap out of me. I don't LIKE watching or reading about totalitarian regimes forcing children to kill one another. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about, and quite frankly I'm horrified that our society as it stands now is so warped and twisted that millions upon millions glorify and revel in movies and games featuring violent, human-on-human brutality and murder, while the naked human form is branded as something to hide, something to be ashamed of and ashamed for, something 'unclean'. It's sick, backasswards, and just plain WRONG. And I'm done keeping quiet about it.
Any questions?I just posted this on my deviantart journal. Thought maybe I should share here too.... more

Lauren Redfern, 25-year-old teacher and coach at Basalt High School, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, has been arrested after she was caught in having sex with a male student in the teacher's bathroom.
Redfern, a health and physical education teacher, faces two charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, pattern of abuse. She was arrested Feb. 15 and formally charged Feb. 16. She is accused of having a sexual relationship with a male student. The relationship allegedly started when he was 17.
According to an arrest affidavit, Lauren Redfern was caught having sex with a male student in the teacher's restroom on Feb. 9 when the athletic director allegedly interrupted by knocking on the door. After being confronted by school administrators, the student confessed to having sex with his study hall teacher Lauren Redfern. The two allegedly had sex an undetermined number of times before the student turned 18 and it appears Redfern's sexual contact with the student persisted over a four month period. The student says in the affidavit that his sexual relationship with Redfern began in October, and reportedly said that he had fallen in love with her. In interviews with deputies, Redfern said that she started having intercourse with the student when he came over to her house to ask for help on a school paper.

This doesn't sound like "exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition," this sounds a bit like three or four days of chasing the dragon to me.

The co-founder of the charity group behind the fastest-spreading Internet viral video ever was arrested Thursday for allegedly being drunk in public, vandalizing cars and masturbating, NBC San Diego reported Friday afternoon.
Jason Russell, 33, a filmmaker, was reportedly acting strangely when police picked him up off Ingraham Street in San Diego around noon on Thursday. Officers claim he was seen undressing as he ran through traffic, screaming all the way. Invisible Children CEO Ben Keesey said Friday that Russell was suffering from “exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition.”
“He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday,” a prepared statement given to NBC San Diego read. “Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.”This doesn't sound like "exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition,"... more

LOL. at junk science and deceptive journalism.
The article specifically states that "Propranolol had no effect on a different measure of "explicit" racial prejudice, religious and sexual prejudice, or prejudice against drug addicts" but the headline alleges that the drug "combats racism."
***
Volunteers given the beta-blocker, used to treat chest pains and lower heart rates, scored lower on a standard psychological test of "implicit" racist attitudes.
Experimental psychologist Dr Sylvia Terbeck, from Oxford University, who led the study published in the journal Psychopharmacology, said: "Our results offer new evidence about the processes in the brain that shape implicit racial bias.
"Implicit racial bias can occur even in people with a sincere belief in equality. Given the key role that such implicit attitudes appear to play in discrimination against other ethnic groups, and the widespread use of propranolol for medical purposes, our findings are also of considerable ethical interest."
Two groups of 18 participants took part in the study. Each volunteer was asked to undertake a "racial Implicit Association Test" (IAT) one to two hours after taking propranolol or the placebo.
The test involved categorising positive and negative words, and pictures of black and white individuals, on a computer screen.
More than a third of the volunteers had a "negative" IAT score, meaning they were biased towards being non-racist at a subconscious level. This was not seen in any member of the placebo group.
Propranolol had no effect on a different measure of "explicit" racial prejudice, religious and sexual prejudice, or prejudice against drug addicts.
These were tested using a "feeling thermometer" psychological tool used for assessing explicit prejudice. Volunteers were asked to rate how "warm" they felt towards different groups on a 10-point scale analogous to a thermometer.
The scientists wrote: "The main finding of our study is that propranolol significantly reduced implicit but not explicit racial bias."LOL. at junk science and deceptive journalism.
