Define sex, because apparently there's some disagreement on what, exactly, counts as "having sex". Beyond the classic in-and-out, men and women don't come to a consensus as to what else counts as sex, according to a recent study by the Kinsey Institute. Women are less likely than men to consider oral or mutual masturbation as "having sex." And researchers suggest that this effects how sexual partners are counted... presumably that men might think women underestimate how many people they've "had sex" with... or that women might think men overestimate. I find this interesting because even though a woman's definition of what counts is narrower than a man's, out of all the people I know, the girls usually have higher numbers than the guys. Ha!
Anyways, I want to know what you think. How do you define sex... What do you have to do with a person for them to end up on your hit list?Define sex, because apparently there's some disagreement on what, exactly, counts... more

Well, it's too damn hot to go outside:
"Houston, you are one horny town.
At least according to a highly scientific survey done for Trojan condoms. Um, make that a semi-demi-scientific survey.
A polling company invited people to take an online survey and compiled 1,000 responses; the results: Houstonians can certainly bone it like they own it.
The survey says we have sex 101 times a year; people in the hellhole of Dallas-Fort Worth make it only 73 times a year. San Francisco is allegedly just sixty times a year.
So you can see why we might believe the 'scientific survey' ain't so scientific
Trojan spokesman Bjorn Trowery tells Hair Balls the results 'maybe just show Houstonians have a better taste in life and the simple things...It's not that there isn't a lot to do in Houston, it's a big city.'
Houston was 'head and shoulders' over the second-place city, Trowery said, but he's yet to send us the promised report.
Most cities fell in the 70-80 times a year range, he said. New York was 80 times a year, he added, 'and I thought that was high.'
Just to be sure, we made sure that the 'sex' involved was a) sex with and without condoms; and b) between two people.
'Yes...nothing mastubatory or anything like that,' he says.
So, continue to get it on, Houston.
Update: Second place goes to Atlanta, with 88 times a year."Well, it's too damn hot to go outside:

House Democrats grew increasingly confident Thursday that they have the votes to deliver on one of President Obama's highest priorities -- a landmark effort to fight global warming and boost alternatives to fossil fuels.
With the vote coming as early as today, House leaders said they were closing in on majority support but had not locked it down yet.
"We're going to get the votes," said Rep. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), who co-wrote the bill with Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Beverly Hills). "We're going to pass the most important energy and environment bill in the history of the United States."
Passage of the bill would be a major victory for Obama at a time when the president's poll numbers have dropped slightly and his administration is juggling efforts to overhaul healthcare, reform financial regulations, and deal with Iran, North Korea and other foreign policy challenges.
Mindful of the stakes, Obama on Thursday deployed Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, top climate-change advisor Carol Browner and several Cabinet officials and key staff to lobby on-the-fence lawmakers -- in phone calls and face-to-face meetings and at a long-scheduled congressional luau at the White House.
The president also made several calls to undecided members. He appealed to others in a quick afternoon speech in the Rose Garden.
"I know this is going to be a close vote," Obama said, "in part because of the misinformation that's out there that suggests there's somehow a contradiction between investing in clean energy and our economic growth. But my call to those members of Congress who are still on the fence, as well as to the American people, is this: We cannot be afraid of the future, and we can't be prisoners of the past. . . . Now is the time to finally act."House Democrats grew increasingly confident Thursday that they have the votes to... more

The first iPhone application to accept nudity "The Hottest Girls" "...is temporarily sold out. The server usage is extremely high because of the popularity of this app. Thus, by not distributing the app, we can prevent our servers from crashing. Those who already have the app will still be able to use our app. To answer the question on everyone’s mind: Yes, the topless images will still be there when it is sold again," according to the applications development team.
So is this BS? Is this just them covering up for Apple pulling it? I don’t think so. - MG SieglerThe first iPhone application to accept nudity "The Hottest Girls"... more
